Talentless Extra Of The Legendary Hero Academy-Chapter 125: like a god
Chapter 125: like a god
"What... did you do to me!"
Severin raised the green light in his hand. "Grace’s nature is to bind, suppress. And I can create as many things as I want with it. I can change and shape it at will.
"Meaning, I can create small dust of it for you to inhale." He watched her with hardened eyes. He started creating the dust around her since the time they began to fight Shadow Anansi.
He knew she would turn on him, and he knew he wanted to turn on her. In a way, it’s a win-win situation for them. Only that one was faster than the other.
Severin stretched out his hand, and the green light surged into his hand. The light turned into a small sword, and when he slashed, it twisted and turned like a rope, a whip that cut forward and curled around her head.
With a single jerk, her head fell to the ground.
Shadow Anansi laughed. "You bastard. I know you won’t kill me! Although you might have hijacked my powers in using that weapon. It’ll be gone if I’m dead, right?
"Then you won’t be able to maintain the difference between you and me."
Severin snorted. "Killing Shadow Lord’s shadow would affect him and make it possible for Veyron to kill him. I don’t want you dead for now."
He turned his head to the sky, and his eyes narrowed. A green glow covered his body next, and then he leaped forward into the sky, his figure blurred into a green streak as he sped toward the fighting two.
Green light scattered around him, small blinking dots that soon expanded into spears as tall and fat as Severin. They throbbed, and then they shot at the fighting two.
Boom!
The two that were fighting instantly turned around. Lightning coiled around Veyron and then struck forward in a sweeping arc, lashing the spears away as if he was fighting with tentacles.
Darkness opened beneath Shadow Lord and formed a shield around him, swallowing the spears.
Before they realized it, Severin stood there before them with his hands spread. "Gentlemen. Can’t we discuss this like civilized people?"
The two of them blinked at him. Of course, Shadow Lord already knew what was happening since he read his shadow’s memories, but Veyron was genuinely stunned to see Severin floating in the air before him, radiating such powerful aura.
What the hell is going on.
Veyron’s eyes narrowed. His eyes were now hot silver. "How is it possible for you to be here at all? I’ve checked you myself, and you are not strong. What is going on?"
Severin struggled. "It’s all tricks. Ignore it. Let’s talk about how you should not kill me."
Veyron snorted and pointed at Shadow Lord. "You should blame him. All that I want is the seed, and the bastard went ahead to plant it in you. Now I have to take you before my master."
Severin frowned. "I really don’t understand, Veyron. Why do you serve the monster that wants to wipe out the world? It’s a monster, part of the generals that need the end of the world. Why do you serve it? Is it the corruption?"
Veyron’s mouth turned down in a mocking smile. "The corruption! Ah! That’s just a way for you people to checkmate Dolor! The corruption did not and would never mess with the mind.
"It’s only a mark. This is the territory of Dolor, just like the Gods in the Divine Continent will mark their subjects."
"But Dolor can still put thoughts and corrupt the mind," Severin said.
Veyron shrugged. "And so? You are capable of killing. Does that mean you will kill? Does that mean you will not kill?"
Severin wore a troubled look as he stared at Veyron. Initially, he thought those humans at the old research facility were already under some kind of mind control by Dolor.
But things aren’t as simple as he thought. "So... Dolor is like your god?"
Veyron’s eyes glittered. "He is. The humans, our fellow humans, abandoned us and locked us here. The creatures here turned their backs on us, but do you know who didn’t? Right, it’s him, the general of pain, Dolor!"
"Isn’t this a tale of a wolf raising sheep?" Severin couldn’t help but ask solemnly. Monsters wanted to kill humans. There’s a study on it. They follow the order of the Singularity to kill and wipe out all the humans.
Dolor couldn’t be an exception.
Severin’s hand tightened.
That means Veyron and his group have already made their peace with that fact.
Veyron sneered. "And then why should we care that the humans who locked us here are about to be wiped out? You are a fool if you turn your back on us.
"He understands our pain, and he gave us something no one has ever given us. Tell me, why should we not serve him?"
Severin nodded. "You are most right. You are not under his control like I thought. You are completely brainwashed by him. He used something that was right to take over.
"But your hatred towards humanity will affect my survival. So, you need to die!"
He snorted. "I don’t know where you get your strange powers, but you can’t win. I was personally trained by Dolor. You are nothing but his food."
Throughout all of this, Shadow Lord watched them without saying anything. But Severin knew that the bastard was likely planning something as well.
But Severin wasn’t satisfied with what he learned. He needed to know more so that he could make a decision. "Tell me, what exactly is the work of the seed?"
"It’s the power that was separated from Dolor and taken to the human world," Veyron said.
"There’s a divide between there and here," Severin said, and shot a look at Shadow Lord.
Veyron grinned. "Of course. That’s why we both came to an agreement years ago. We formed an organization, the two of us. I and Shadow Lord.
"We will use all the humans that passed through here. We’ll help them return safely, but they must serve us!"
