System's POV-Chapter 862: You Can’t Possibly Forget Your Best Friend, Right?
Thirteen woke up after four days, which was a day longer than he estimated.
During that time, Erica and Sherry stayed with him, taking turns to nurse him while he was unconscious.
Unlike the first time when he woke up with a head-splitting headache, this time, he felt as if he had just woken up from a long sleep, feeling energized.
Perhaps sleeping a day longer helped his exhausted body fully recover from the punishment it received during the past few days.
"Are you feeling better?" Sherry asked as soon as she noticed that Zion was already awake.
"Yes," Thirteen replied. However, he didn’t move away from the young lady, who was cradling his head on her chest. "Much better."
"Good." Sherry sighed in relief and hugged the teenage boy tighter. "Erica had gone out to check what was happening in Pangea. She’ll be back soon."
Thirteen didn’t reply and allowed the young lady to pamper him a bit.
He knew he made Erica and Sherry worry, so the least he could do was assure them that he was really feeling fine.
An hour later, Erica arrived and was pleasantly happy when she saw that Thirteen was already awake.
"I saw Derek, Clark, Vincent, and Char in the common room of your domain," Erica said after kissing Zion’s cheek. "Should I tell them you’re already awake and looking for them?"
"There’s no rush," Thirteen replied.
The young man then reluctantly pulled back from Sherry’s embrace and propped himself up into a seating position.
"I want to take a bath," Thirteen said. "Do the two of you want to join me?"
Erica and Sherry glanced at each other before smiling at the same time.
"Gladly." Erica smirked.
"Un." Sherry nodded.
The three then spent an hour in the bathroom before leaving the laboratory together.
When he arrived at the common room, he found Derek discussing with his Second Master, Camazotz. The young man was asking for tips to become popular with women.
Naturally, the "single" Death Bat was more than happy to tell his disciple how to woo the ladies, which made Paimon, who was having a chat with Clark and Char, glance at him in disdain.
Joshua and Vincent were talking about the Cygni Invasion and the things they wanted to do once they joined the ranks of the Central Government.
Vincent was the first to notice Thirteen’s arrival, and he waved at him in a friendly manner.
"It’s good to see all of you are here," Thirteen said. "I have something to show all of you. Follow me."
The teenage boy then asked everyone to follow him into his laboratory, where lay the project he had been working on in secret.
When Joshua, Clark, Vincent, and Char saw the things that Zion wanted to show them, all of them looked at the teenage boy in disbelief.

"Y-You made all of these?" Clark asked in shock.
"Yes," Thirteen replied. "And each of you will be riding one of them in battle."
There were five giant mechas in the Hangar of Thirteen’s laboratory.
A red Manticore.
A black Gargoyle.
A green Griffin.
A pink Phoenix.
And a yellow Thunderbird.
"Here are the activation keys you can use to summon and ride them."
Thirteen handed five tokens of different colors to the teenagers, who didn’t expect that these cool-looking mechas belonged to them.
The Manticore was given to Clark, the Griffin to Vincent, the Gargoyle to Joshua, the Phoenix to Char, and the Thunderbird to Sherry.
"Each of these beasts has the strength of a Rank 7 Sovereign," Thirteen explained. "They can move independently, but you can control them manually by riding inside them.
"Once all of you have gotten used to operating them, we will proceed to the next stage and merge these Mechas together to create the ultimate fighting robot."
Thirteen rested his hands on his waist and looked at the teenagers with an arrogant expression on his face.
"I call its final form, GANDAM Hyperion," Thirteen stated. "And the one who will control it will be you, Clark."
"Master, I have a question!" Derek raised his hand. "If you combine these Rank 7 Robots to form the Ultimate Form, how strong will that fighting robot be?"
"Good question." Thirteen nodded. "The answer is a Peak Rank 9 Sovereign."
""What?!""
All the teenagers exclaimed at the same time because they couldn’t believe that the teenage boy in front of them had "casually" created a Rank 9 Sovereign, a feat no other had achieved in the past.
"I know what you guys are thinking," Thirteen said. "Unfortunately, I cannot create another one like this. I have paid a high price to acquire the materials needed to create these robots, so making more is no longer possible."
He had traded the Scales of the Majin King to Metatron to acquire some Spirit Metals that were not only conductive but also durable.
They were the most compatible material that would allow Thirteen to incorporate Rune magic and the power of Technology to give birth to the five Robots.
Naturally, Metatron had given Thirteen enough materials to complete his creation.
The God of the Apocalypse didn’t lie when he said that he was the Sponsor of the Apoc Rangers, and he was quite satisfied with the results of this joint project between him and Thirteen.
"Master, why don’t I have one?" Derek asked. "Aren’t I your disciple?"
"Don’t worry. I also made something for you," Thirteen answered. "But it’s not a robot. It’s more like a specialized power suit that will enhance your strength.
Unlike the Apoc Rangers, who needed to hide their identities, the Power Suits Thirteen made for Erica, Derek, and Shana didn’t hide their faces.
It was similar to the lightweight armor that the Hero Party usually wore in battle.
The only difference was that Thirteen’s creation would drastically increase each of their specialties, making them more powerful in their respective fields.
For example, Shana’s power suit not only increased the range of her healing ability but also made it more potent.
There were also additional functions like Levitation, Flight, and the ability to breathe underwater, making it very versatile for any kind of battlefield.
"How about me?" Camazotz asked. "You can’t possibly forget your best friend, right?"
Thirteen blinked once then twice as his gaze landed on the Death Bat, who was smiling at him with a face filled with expectations.
The teenage boy wanted to retort, "who is your best friend? But since he didn’t want to hurt Camazotz’s feelings, he decided to just tell him the truth.
"I didn’t make any for you because you no longer need it," Thirteen stated. "Or do you mean to say you’re not confident in your own strength?"
Camazotz chuckled because just like Thirteen expected, he no longer needed anything to make him stronger.
The Death Bat became more confident after surviving the lightning tribulation he faced when Thirteen was crafting his Legendary Armor.
Camazotz had not only become stronger mentally but also physically.
Even the other members of the Apocalypse noticed the change in the Death Bat’s character after his encounter with the Ancient Eight-Headed Serpent.
They no longer made fun of him as the second weakest member of their organization. After all, he defeated Paimon in a one-on-one duel without depending on the effect of his armor.
Naturally, the weakest member that they were referring to was Zion.
But that perception also changed when they saw him massacre a Majin King by beating it with the Monkey King’s Staff.
"I was just joking," Camazotz said before glancing at Kamrusepa, who had a faint smile on her face.
The two shared a secret that they still hadn’t told Thirteen or Paimon.
Since it was a surprise, they would definitely give it to him when he didn’t expect it the most.
Thirteen, who had no idea what the Death Bat was thinking, shifted his attention toward his Apoc Rangers.
"Go and do a test run," Thirteen stated. "Just put the helmet on the cockpit, and it will automatically implant the information on how to operate it directly inside your head."
Excited to test their new machines, Clark and the rest hurried to their respective robots.
Derek, on the other hand, could only watch in envy as the robots moved one by one.
Metatron snapped his fingers, and the ceiling of the hangar disappeared.
A vast sky appeared above everyone’s heads, allowing the robots, who all had the ability to fly to spread their wings.
A few minutes later, Joshua’s Gargoyle moved and let out a mighty roar. It then spread its wings before taking flight into the sky.
Not long after, the Phoenix screeched and also soared to the heavens.
Clark and his Manticore also took off, joining Joshua and Char, who had started to do a mock battle in the sky.
Surprisingly, the fourth one to finish learning how to operate her robot was Sherry.
The Thunderbird flapped its mighty wings and flew to join her comrades.
Thirteen glanced at the Griffin with a smile.
He knew the reason why Vincent still couldn’t make his Griffin fly despite being a fast learner.
The teenage boy was simply triple-checking if he missed anything before he put the knowledge he gained into practice.
Ten minutes later, the Griffin finally moved.
Instead of flying in the sky, it started to walk around the hangar, circling its surroundings.
Since the Griffin was meant for running and flying, the teenage boy decided to test walking first.
Only when he was satisfied with the results did Vincent take off to the skies and joined everyone in their mock battle.
Thirteen watched this scene with an appraising look because he still needed to make some final modifications to each robot to increase its performance.
The mock battle was a perfect opportunity to see if he needed to make changes that would suit the personality of the one using them.
An hour later, the excited group finally decided to rest and landed on the hangar one by one.
With these fighting robots at their disposal, they were now more confident in their ability to survive in the Jinn Invasion, whose intensity would increase in the coming months.
