System: Replicating The Heavens-Chapter 526: Ch : Sudden Change of Situation
Oliver's eyes went wide, for he could not believe what he was seeing.
Ethan had become a giant monster, and his power was terrifying. Before Oliver could think, Ethan swung his arms and attacked him in pure rage.
Oliver was still in shock and could not move in time. The attack came too fast. There was no way he could dodge it.
All the elders had been silently observing the disciples of their respective sects without taking action. They had brought only their genius disciples here, not only to train them, but also to let them seize this opportunity and gather valuable resources from a place that originally belonged to the Heavenly Blood Pavilion.
However, they had never expected Ethan to undergo such a distorted and terrifying transformation. Moreover, the sudden surge in his strength was simply unbelievable.
When they saw that Oliver was about to be crushed under the giant's attack, Kevin did not hesitate. His figure flashed, and in the next instant, he appeared right beside Oliver.
In fact, it was not just Kevin; other elders also acted.
Kevin's figure appeared in front of Oliver, grabbing him and pulling him away right before Ethan's attack came, striking down.
Bang!
Ethan's attack missed completely, colliding against the floor, causing the floor to shatter into pieces, shaking the entire structure heavily.
"Roar!"
Seeing that his attack had missed, Ethan roared in fury. He could not accept the fact that his strike had failed, and in his rage, he raised his massive fist and smashed it down once again.
"Go! Run to the second floor!" Kevin shouted, blocking Ethan's next strike.
Oliver looked back at the High-level Bloodline Nourishing Liquid with regret. It was already gone, destroyed by the giant in front of him. He felt a sharp pang of regret but had no choice. He nodded and quickly led everyone to the second floor.
The moment Oliver and the other disciples stepped into the second floor of the research base, they froze in shock.
This floor was at least ten times larger than the first one. Everywhere they looked, there were massive glass containers filled with strange liquid. Even the smallest container was about three meters tall, while the largest ones reached seven or eight meters in height.
But what truly stunned Oliver and others was what was inside them.
Each container held a terrifying creature. They were not normal beasts, nor were they humans. They looked like twisted fusions of humans and beasts. Some had the bodies of beasts but human faces. Some had human arms and legs attached to monstrous torsos. Others had human features mixed with scales, claws, and fangs. Every single one of them was unnatural, horrifying, and clearly created through cruel experimentation.
"Damn it, what is the Heavenly Blood Pavilion trying to do? They actually created monsters like this."
"I always thought the Heavenly Blood Pavilion was just going too far in their pursuit of power, but that they still had some humanity left. Now it seems they have completely lost their minds."
"It looks like the decision of the three sects to destroy the Heavenly Blood Pavilion's research bases was absolutely right."
Everyone started complaining. They were disgusted by the Heavenly Blood Pavilion's way of doing things.
Oliver stared at the terrifying creatures sealed inside the glass containers, and an unexplainable heaviness pressed down on his heart. A faint sense of unease rose within him. He had a strong feeling that once these creatures truly entered the world, they would bring unimaginable disaster to the entire Human Race.
Beasts alone were already difficult enough for humans to deal with. Yet who could have imagined that the Heavenly Blood Pavilion would go so far as to create such abominations?
Krraa~
Suddenly, sharp cracking sounds echoed through the second level. Thin fractures appeared on several of the massive glass containers. The sleeping creatures inside the containers slowly opened their cold and violent eyes that were filled with madness.
Boom!
A huge hand covered in scales smashed through one of the containers. Before anyone could react, it grabbed a nearby warrior. With a dull pfft, his body was crushed into blood and flesh.
Then a terrifying creature jumped out. It had the body of a beast, a twisted human face, and two strange human arms covered in scales. Shards of glass scattered everywhere as it landed on the ground.
Almost at the same time, other containers shattered one after another. More of these monsters burst free, breaking through walls and tearing open their cages.
"Howl!"
"Roar!"
Terrifying and savage cries filled the entire second floor. The sound was deafening and filled with pure bloodlust as the beasts charged toward Oliver and the others.
"Kill!"
All the warriors led by Oliver were stunned at first, but when Oliver shouted the word "kill", everyone came back to their senses and rushed to clash with these creatures that were neither human nor beast. The clash that followed was brutal and chaotic.
These creatures were far stronger than anyone had expected.
However, it was also at this moment that the entire research base suddenly shook violently.
"Roar!!!"
A deep and heavy roar echoed from the depths of the earth as a pair of enormous hands suddenly burst out from the walls of the research base. 𝗳𝚛𝚎𝚎𝘄𝕖𝕓𝕟𝕠𝚟𝚎𝕝.𝗰𝕠𝐦
These hands swept through the area wildly, grabbing everything in their path. They did not distinguish between enemies and allies. Whether it was warriors from the three sects or those hybrid creatures, all were treated the same.
Anyone who was caught was instantly crushed into bloody paste. Even powerful Astral Rank weapons and other treasures were shattered as if they were made of paper.
"Everyone, retreat from the base immediately!"
Everyone's expressions changed drastically. Everyone was shocked.
Fortunately, Elder Emily was watching everyone from the shadows. When she saw the situation, her heart trembled in fear, for this pair of hands definitely did not belong to Ethan, who had transformed into a monster. It was a new monster. Moreover, from its aura, Elder Emily could tell that it was a Saint King Stage monster.
So, she shouted and warned everyone while asking them to escape.
Everyone started escaping for their lives. This was no longer a battle where they could participate.
Soon, all the warriors escaped one after another.
However, among several hundred who had entered, only about a hundred survived in the end.
The casualties were terrifying.
