Chapter 94: Chapter 94: Outing

Moira Young gradually began to smile. The rides Heath Sterling took her on were all quite magical; she said they were childish, but she actually liked them a lot inside.

After finishing the last ride in the children’s area, Heath bought her an ice cream. Moira hadn’t had ice cream in a long time, and maybe because she was tired from playing, she felt this ice cream tasted better than any she had before.

Before long, the ice cream in her hand was gone.

Moira was too embarrassed to ask for another, even though she wanted one, so she kept glancing at kids with ice cream. Fortunately, Heath was observant today and noticed.

"Wow! You finished it so quickly. Do you want another one?" Heath asked playfully.

"No need." Moira’s ears turned red, unwilling to admit she wanted more.

"Then I’ll buy one for myself?"

Moira cleared her throat softly, "Okay."

Heath affectionately ruffled her hair, "Silly girl!"

He ran off and bought two more ice creams, one for each of them.

"Didn’t you have a fever recently? Eat more to cool down."

Moira had never heard such nonsense before and looked at him in surprise: "Where did you hear such a ridiculous theory?"

Heath didn’t even think about it: "From a cartoon."

Moira was about to scold him for being childish but remembered Heath didn’t like her saying that, so she swallowed her words.

Although it was autumn, the ice cream melted quickly. After Moira finished, her hands were a bit sticky, so she went to the bathroom to wash them. Before she could go in, a middle-aged man blocked her way.

Moira thought he might be a creep, and her eyes filled with vigilance.

"Hello, I’m Gregory Lee from LE Company, here’s my business card." The middle-aged man handed Moira a business card.

Moira hesitated to take it, "Sorry, I need to go to the restroom."

The man paused, "Haven’t you heard of LE Company?"

Moira scrutinized his attire and demeanor. He didn’t seem like a bad person, but she couldn’t be sure.

At this moment, Heath came over. Seeing a middle-aged man blocking Moira, he immediately frowned, "Hey, what’s going on?"

The middle-aged man, seeing Heath, lit up and handed him a business card too.

"LE Company? What the heck? Stop bothering my girlfriend!" Heath threw the card away and pulled Moira, ready to leave.

"Wait a minute! Give me a few minutes to explain briefly!" The middle-aged man ran over to block them again and rambled on about how several popular stars are from LE Company. He happened to be here with his kid and didn’t expect to see such promising individuals like Moira and Heath, so he wanted them to come for an interview.

Heath raised an eyebrow and sneered, "You rambled a lot, and I didn’t understand a word."

"You never watch movies or TV shows?" The man seemed tired from talking, perspiration forming on his forehead.

Heath and Moira exchanged glances, and Heath shook his head, "I only watch cartoons."

Moira pursed her lips, holding back laughter.

The middle-aged man was at a loss for words and could only sigh, "I really hope you two can visit the company. If you need to, feel free to call me anytime."

Since Heath had previously thrown away his business card, the man handed another one over.

Moira signaled for him to take it so they could quickly get rid of the man.

Afterward, Heath specifically searched the company on his phone, discovering it’s indeed one of the top companies in the country, with all its artists being overwhelmingly popular.

Moira wasn’t particularly interested, "Do you want to go?"

"Whatever, it’s all just for fun, anyway!"

"All you know is playing." Moira took out a tissue to wipe her hands, "Do you consider racing just fun as well?"

"No, that’s my career." Heath suddenly turned to Moira, his voice particularly pleasant, "Because I still have to support you."

Moira’s cheeks flushed instantly and she quickly stood up, "Don’t say things like that in the future. We... we haven’t—"

"It’s just a matter of time, you’re already starting to accept me, aren’t you?" Heath didn’t completely grasp what Moira meant. They had already agreed they were dating before, so why did it feel off now?

Moira frowned, unsure of how to respond. She had indeed been thinking of accepting Heath, but ever since seeing Julian Sinclair last night, her mindset had shifted. She was now at a confusing crossroads, unsure of which path to take.

"Alright, let’s drop it. I’ll take you to do something exciting." Heath, seeing Moira’s silence, feared rejection from her.

Suddenly, Moira’s phone rang.

It was Adrian Grant calling. She immediately hung up, her expression souring.

Adrian continuously called several times, so Moira, flustered, turned off her phone directly.

Heath didn’t ask anything, knowing Moira’s moods were usually linked to Julian Sinclair. He didn’t want to ask, let alone hear about it.

"Let’s go." Heath forced a smile, taking Moira to ride the roller coaster.

It was Moira’s first time on such a ride. Watching from below, it didn’t seem scary, but experiencing it herself made her swear never to take it again in her life.

Upon disembarking from the roller coaster, Moira’s legs turned to jelly, nearly causing her to fall, but Heath caught her just in time.

"So, feeling any better?" Heath seemed as though he’d just strolled on flat ground, entirely unfazed.

Moira was almost in tears from fear, and couldn’t differentiate between good and bad moods, her mind a complete daze.

Seeing her like this, Heath almost laughed to tears and continued chuckling until they left the amusement park.

"If you keep laughing, I won’t talk to you anymore!" Moira felt incredibly embarrassed.

"Alright, alright, I’ll treat you to something delicious tonight as an apology."

After a whole day of playing, Moira had almost put last night’s events behind her, and at the mention of food, she indeed felt hungry, so she reluctantly forgave him.

They headed to a downtown Western restaurant, which required a reservation, but Heath seemed to have connections with the owner and went straight in with Moira.

The staff, accustomed to such ’connections’, didn’t say anything under their breath and continued their work normally.

Moira flipped through the menu several times, finding many dishes appealing. However, since it was always Heath treating, she didn’t want to order excessively and waste food, so she picked her favorites.

Just as Moira handed the menu to the waiter, she noticed a familiar figure sitting not far behind Heath. Although it was just a back view, she distinctly sensed it was Fiona Rhodes.

Because no one’s aura around matched hers.

Fiona was dining with a female friend. When the friend noticed Moira looking over, she said something to Fiona.

It was then Moira realized she had been staring for quite a while and immediately felt like backing out, whispering, "Heath, can we switch restaurants?"

"Why? Don’t you like it here?" Heath was puzzled by Moira’s reaction.

"I saw someone I don’t want to see." Moira whispered, glancing instinctively toward Fiona, accidentally making eye contact.

Heath followed Moira’s gaze and turned his head back.
