Sweet Wife So Charming: CEO: Hold Back Your Heart-Chapter 353: Dazed
Hearing Moira Young agree, Heath Sterling finally breathed a sigh of relief.
As for the fireworks festival, of course, it was something he made up casually. But as long as it was for Moira Young, even if it was impossible, he would find a way to make it possible.
Heath Sterling suddenly somewhat understood why King You of Zhou was willing to light signal fires to amuse the nobles just to make Baosi smile.
And now, he also just wanted to do everything to make Moira Young smile.
For the fireworks festival the next night, he only had one day to prepare, but that was enough for him.
After Moira Young took a bath, her whole body relaxed, and her tense nerves slowly unwound. Her eyelids gradually felt heavy as she yawned slightly and said lazily, "Heath, I want to sleep for a bit."
It had been a long time since she felt so comfortable; now she just wanted to rest.
Moira Young’s upper eyelids and lower eyelids were fighting against each other, while Heath Sterling’s expression changed slightly. He quickly raised his voice to stop her, "Moira, you can’t sleep here, go back to your room, okay?"
Soaking in the hot spring indeed relieves fatigue, but prolonged soaking can be counterproductive. Her health wasn’t good, and if she...
Heath Sterling couldn’t help but frown, and as he was about to speak again, Moira Young’s low and weary voice faintly came, "Just a little while, Heath, keep an eye on the time for me, wake me up then."
As her last word fell, Moira Young was already breathing evenly and had fallen into a sweet dream.
Heath Sterling gave a slight smile, swallowed the words he was about to say, and watched the time carefully.
Half an hour later, Heath Sterling knocked on the wooden door right on time.
Upon hearing the noise, Moira Young opened her eyes groggily, almost feeling like she was lost in time due to the scent lingering in her nose.
However, she quickly came to her senses, pulled on her soft body to get dressed, and slowly opened the door, the edge of which lightly hit Heath Sterling’s handsome face.
He quickly stepped back, exaggeratingly guarding his face, "Moira, are you trying to murder me because I didn’t let you get a good sleep?"
"How could that be," Moira Young’s lips lifted slightly, and she leaned in to check his face, "A bit red, should be fine, before Uncle..."
Her words abruptly stopped midway, her hand couldn’t help but tremble a bit.
Why think of Julian Sinclair again? He was nothing but a jerk, so why was he still uncontrollably weaving through her life?
Moira Young’s expression darkened, and seeing this, Heath Sterling deftly changed the subject, "Moira, in such a rush to get here, we haven’t had time to eat. What do you feel like having?"
"Anything, I don’t have much appetite," Moira Young lowered her head morosely, then seemed to remember something, asking, "When does the fireworks festival you mentioned start, we can’t miss it?"
Ever since Julian Sinclair abandoned her, she had been in a muddled state, let alone relaxed travel.
Since deciding to start anew, she must return to normal life.
The fireworks festival sounded intriguing.
Moira Young’s clear eyes looked at Heath Sterling, whose heart fluttered, and he swiftly fibbed about a time, "Seems like it’s tomorrow night at eight, we’ll go early."
As long as she wanted, he could even find a way to make it happen tonight, yet it would feel less formal if too rushed.
After pondering for a moment, they had already arrived at their accommodation.
Moira Young took out the room card to open the door, just about to enter when Heath Sterling called her, narrowing his eyes, "Moira, the sunrise here is famous, would you like to go see it tomorrow morning?"
Sunrise?
Moira Young hesitated for a while, looked at her body now much recovered, and didn’t immediately answer.
Heath Sterling seemed to see her concerns, showing his white teeth, "You don’t have to climb, just take the cable car. It’s really far if you hike."
"Alright," Moira Young agreed without hesitation, then waved her hand and closed the door.
Heath Sterling raised his eyebrows and turned around to make a call.
The next day before six o’clock, they took the cable car to the top of the mountain.
The morning air was very chilly. Even wearing a down jacket couldn’t resist the ubiquitous cold; Moira Young shivered, her little face porcelain-white.
She still hadn’t thought everything through.
Feeling frustrated for a moment, Moira Young lifted her gaze to the slightly bright sky, breathed warmth into her palms, "Let’s go up first."
The cable car’s stopping point wasn’t the final destination, it took a few minutes’ walk to get there.
Moira Young estimated the distance, and the next second, there was suddenly a coat warming with residual heat placed on her shoulders. Heath Sterling nonchalantly withdrew his hand, "Don’t catch a cold."
Though he brought her here partly out of selfishness, he more so just hoped she could be happy.
He hoped the happy Moira Young of the past could return, but it wouldn’t be worth it if she got sick in the process.
Several thoughts flashed quickly through his mind as Heath Sterling turned on his phone’s flashlight, illuminating the indistinct path in the dim light, "Do you want me to hold you?"
Warmth filled Moira Young’s eyes, she shook her head, then glanced over his thinly-shirted body worriedly, "I’m alright, aren’t you cold?"
Heath Sterling immediately laughed, boastfully making a muscle-display pose, proudly saying, "Moira, you’ve underestimated me. Looking at these muscles, you can tell I’m all man, not the weak type. This temperature is just right for me."
To prove authenticity, Heath Sterling walked ahead first, his tall back seemed to brim with boundless energy.
Moira Young’s hand clutching the hem of the coat let go, following his steps, walking forward step by step.
By the time they reached the top, it was almost fully bright. Heath Sterling, facing the slightly reddening clouds on the horizon, excitedly waved at Moira Young, "Moira, come over, the sun’s about to rise."
Moira Young pressed her lips together slightly, Heath Sterling had already plopped down on a rock, producing a mat from who knows where and setting it beside him, patting it, "Sit here."
He wasn’t a meticulous person, but for Moira Young, he considered everything almost thoroughly. 𝒻𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝘯𝘰𝑣ℯ𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝘮
Though Moira Young didn’t consider herself that delicate, she still couldn’t reject his goodwill.
The sun peeked half-hiding, casting brilliant rays, creating a beautiful, dreamlike scene.
Moira Young propped her chin, face tinged with red, making her look more exquisite, yet her thoughts drifted away slowly.
Had she ever watched a sunrise with Uncle?
Seems like when going to the film set, they deliberately watched the sunrise.
Just like this, quietly waiting for the sunrise, as beautiful as a dream.
Unfortunately, no matter what they did before, it held no meaning now, for Uncle no longer wanted her.
Moira Young was lost in thought.
She was watching the sunrise, while Heath Sterling turned his head to watch her, greedily as if engraving her into his bones.
After a while, Heath Sterling seemed casually to ask, "Moira, have you ever watched a sunrise with someone else?"
