Sweet Wife So Charming: CEO: Hold Back Your Heart-Chapter 298: Memories
"What are you thinking about, so lost in thought?" Adrian Grant looked at Moira Young’s longing expression and couldn’t help but laugh, "Could it be you’re thinking about something crazy?"
"No way." Moira Young pushed him away and walked forward by herself.
"Like some love legend or something." Adrian Grant touched his chin, smiling mischievously. He was sure this little girl was definitely thinking about that just now.
"Adrian, has anyone ever told you you’re very nosy?" Moira Young teased with a playful expression.
"Nosy? Me?" Adrian Grant pointed at his own nose in disbelief.
"Yes! Haha, Adrian, let’s go, I want to ride that!" Moira Young pointed excitedly at the carousel not far away.
Without noticing that the topic was changed, Adrian Grant boldly said, "It’s just a carousel, so easy. Whatever you want to play today, Adrian will accompany you for all of it!"
Saying that, he led Moira Young towards the carousel.
Starting from the carousel, to the pirate ship, and even the super-long roller coaster.
The two of them didn’t miss a single one.
Both are a bit timid and resist extreme rides, yet they eventually encouraged each other to try everything they could.
Three hours later, Moira Young sat on a bench, her legs trembling, her eyes lifeless and face pale, as if her soul had been drained.
Beside her, Adrian Grant wasn’t much better off; his situation was even worse. In addition to a pale expression, he kept retching.
If he wasn’t male, others seeing him like this would likely think he was pregnant.
"Adrian, are you okay?" Moira Young’s weak voice reached Adrian Grant’s ears.
Adrian Grant exhaled with difficulty, nodding forcefully, "A man can’t admit he’s not okay!"
"Just admit it, you’re really not okay." Moira Young teased with a smile.
Long ago, she always thought Adrian Grant was impressive; recently she discovered, after some comparison, that people indeed change with perspective.
Previously, he always stood out among that group of friends, and she truly thought Adrian Grant was excellent, but now...
She seemed to have discovered another side of him, somewhat... like the comedic relief.
"Should we head back today?" Moira Young looked up at the Ferris wheel; she had completely lost the desire to ride it.
Adrian Grant’s eyes widened, full of disdain, "It’s just a U-shaped skateboard, what’s the big deal? Let’s go ride it."
"Go alone if you want; I can’t do it anymore." Moira Young wasn’t as persistent as Adrian Grant. Since he insisted, she let him go alone.
But upon hearing Moira Young say she wouldn’t go, Adrian Grant immediately agreed, "That’s true, it’s getting late. Let’s head back to the hotel."
Moira Young nodded with a smile, "Alright, we’ll return to the hotel."
The two took a taxi back to the hotel, and just as they got out, a gust of wind blew Moira Young’s sunhat off.
"Hey, my hat!" she exclaimed, hurriedly chasing after it.
Thankfully, the wind only lasted a moment, and the hat soon fell to the ground. Moira Young exhaled lightly, bending down to pick it up.
Only to find a hand was faster than hers. She looked up, startled, "Uncle..."
"Did you wait long?" Julian Sinclair looked apologetic as he lightly patted the sunhat and placed it on Moira Young.
"Not too long, Adrian and I came back after a round of fun. Are you done with your work?" Moira Young didn’t inquire further.
If he was genuinely dealing with business, pressing for details would make her seem unreasonable. If not, finding out would only embarrass her.
"There were issues with the domestic business. Fortunately, cooperation partners were available, so we held an impromptu cross-national meeting. The new contract negotiations took longer than expected, and my phone ran out of battery, sorry I made you anxious."
She thought Julian Sinclair wouldn’t explain, but unexpectedly he did.
Moira Young smiled, "It’s okay, is the issue resolved now?"
"It’s partially resolved; follow-up problems need ongoing attention." Julian Sinclair ruffled Moira Young’s hair, noticing her slightly pale complexion, his eyebrows slightly furrowed, "What’s wrong? You look unwell."
"Adrian and I went to the amusement park and rode the roller coaster, so I’m a bit dizzy now." Moira Young chuckled, expressing it’s not a big deal.
Julian Sinclair teasingly pinched her nose, "You swore off extreme rides yesterday, why did you go again?"
"It was because Adrian insisted on taking me." Moira Young quickly pinned the blame on Adrian Grant, fearing Julian Sinclair would be displeased.
From a distance, Adrian Grant couldn’t hear their conversation, only seeing Julian Sinclair’s gaze, filled with killing intent, directed at him.
Confused, he touched the back of his head, deeply pondering.
After all, he helped smooth things over for Moira Young, and instead of gratitude, how come he’s being glared at? Truly a heartless man.
Since both Adrian Grant and Moira Young were exhausted, they just grabbed dinner nearby.
As for the evening, Adrian Grant suggested going to a bar, but neither Moira Young nor Julian Sinclair wanted to go. With them uninterested, Adrian Grant felt less inclined and decided to retire to his room.
"Uncle, you’ve been working all day; want to rest early?" Preparing to get into bed, Moira Young saw Julian Sinclair opening his laptop, undeniably starting work.
"You sleep first; I’ll be right over." Julian Sinclair smiled gently, his expression overwhelmingly tender.
"Stop working, come sleep; aren’t you tired after a full day?"
She wasn’t pleased.
Julian Sinclair’s eyes flashed humorously, "What, you missed me?"
Moira Young naturally nodded, "Why, can’t I miss you?"
"Yet I don’t feel like you miss me." Julian Sinclair stroked his handsome face, looking stern, "You’re deceiving me."
"Childish." Moira Young glared at him, indicating his laptop, "Are you shutting it down, or do I need to do it for you?"
Under Moira Young’s threat, Julian Sinclair had no choice but to shut off the laptop and get in bed.
Once Julian Sinclair held her in his arms, Moira Young finally smiled contentedly, "That’s better. Tomorrow, if you neglect spending time with me for work, I won’t talk to you."
"Alright, tomorrow I promise no work, okay? My little queen." Julian Sinclair dotingly kissed her rosy lips, showing some helplessness in his expression.
"Uncle..." as the two cuddled near sleep, Moira Young suddenly spoke.
Julian Sinclair, eyes shut tight, replied, "What’s up?"
"Do you still not remember the past?" Moira Young’s voice was muffled, seeming a bit distressed.
