Sweet Wife So Charming: CEO: Hold Back Your Heart-Chapter 277: Jealousy
As for Julian Sinclair, he slowly got out of bed behind Moira Young. However, contrary to Moira’s expectations, he did not leave for work but moved all his company’s tasks to the hotel instead.
By noon, when the film crew was handing out boxed lunches, Moira Young found herself eating a lovingly prepared lunch brought by Julian Sinclair personally.
Moira took small bites of the freshly stewed bird’s nest soup. After finishing a small bowl, she began to tackle the enticing shredded rabbit dish.
These were all personally made by Mrs. Miller, and her cooking had always been Moira Young’s favorite, so she had a good appetite and ate a whole bowl of white rice.
Since they had to resume shooting soon after lunch, Moira Young and Julian Sinclair ate on set without seeking a secluded spot.
The new supporting actress, Anna, watched Moira Young’s meal and compared it to her own boxed lunch, sinking into deep contemplation. Why was there such a disparity among actresses?
The competitiveness among actresses was intense; it was untrue that none of them felt jealous. Who wouldn’t want to find a prince charming like Julian Sinclair?
Aiden Webb, however, was completely different. While everyone else was having lunch, he was sitting elegantly on the side, sipping coffee, apparently not hungry.
His resting place was right next to Moira Young on her left; a turn of her head would bring him into view.
She had a strong curiosity about Aiden Webb but refrained from speaking to him since Julian Sinclair was present. Nevertheless, she felt an irresistible kindness emanating from Aiden Webb deep inside.
"What are you thinking about?" Julian Sinclair frowned unhappily when he noticed Moira Young’s dazed expression while eating, and flicked her forehead.
Moira Young yelped in pain and complained, "Uncle, what are you doing?"
"Focus on eating without distraction," Julian Sinclair lowered his gaze and smirked while looking at Moira Young’s clear eyes.
"I’m thinking about the script," Moira Young casually responded.
Julian Sinclair knew her better than herself; just one look could tell what was on her mind, and Moira’s tendency was to touch her nose when lying.
Seeing this, Julian Sinclair did not expose her lie, silently watching her finish lunch and ensuring she had a thirty-minute nap.
In the afternoon, it was back to work.
This time, they were filming the scene that had been shot with ViVi last time. Anna was sensible and considerate, and with the boss present, she dared not cause any issues for Moira Young.
Thus, the scene was shot quickly in one take.
The director initially suggested using a stunt double, but Moira Young insisted on doing it herself. The director dared not press her; regardless of how the scene turned out, Moira Young could not suffer any grievance.
However, when it was someone else’s turn, the director was far less polite.
Today’s shooting wasn’t heavy, wrapping up by eight in the evening. Moira Young, as usual, returned to the hotel after filming, craving nothing but to nestle in the sofa doing nothing.
Julian Sinclair watched Moira Young curling like a kitten on the sofa watching TV, not angry; instead, he smiled lightly.
"Get some fruit," he instructed Butler Liu.
Butler Liu took the order and immediately had someone buy milk tea and fruit for Moira Young.
However, before going out, a knock on the door was heard.
Moira Young curiously blinked at Butler Liu, "Who is it?"
When Butler Liu opened the door, Aiden Webb stood outside holding a script, his handsome face showing no trace of emotion.
"Mr. Webb, may I ask whom you’re looking for?" Butler Liu maintained a courteous yet distant smile, neither cold nor subservient.
"Moira Young," Aiden Webb replied coldly, as if speaking more would cost him dearly.
Upon hearing her name, Moira Young immediately attempted to get up, only to be pressed down by Julian Sinclair, whose eyes held a warning: "Don’t go." 𝐟𝚛𝕖𝚎𝕨𝗲𝐛𝚗𝐨𝐯𝐞𝕝.𝐜𝗼𝗺
Moira Young was puzzled, "He’s here to see me; it’s not polite not to meet him, right?"
Before Julian Sinclair could respond, Butler Liu smiled back, "Sorry, miss is asleep. If Mr. Webb has any business with her, I can relay it."
"No need," Aiden Webb glanced at Butler Liu, handed over the file bag without expression, "Give this to her."
"Sure, I’ll make sure it reaches her, rest assured," Butler Liu replied with a polite smile, implicitly asking him to leave.
Aiden Webb seemed uninterested in staying and left immediately after handing over the item.
Once the footsteps at the door faded, Moira Young sat up straight on the sofa, her eyes fixed on the file bag in Butler Liu’s hand, "What is this?"
Butler Liu shook his head slightly and handed the file bag to Moira Young.
Julian Sinclair looked thoughtful but did not stop her, watching as Moira Young opened the bag. Upon discovering it was merely a script, he silently breathed a sigh of relief.
Moira Young was bewildered as well; she had scripts, so why would Aiden Webb inexplicably give her one?
Though pondering this, she involuntarily opened the script to read.
The next moment, Moira Young’s mouth dropped open in shock, and she exclaimed, "Oh my god! These notes are incredibly detailed!"
It turned out Aiden Webb had given her not just any script but one he meticulously studied with annotations.
Almost every line was marked in red, indicating the required emotion and expression, strength while reading, and gestures at that moment, all diligently noted.
Not only were his lines annotated, but even Moira Young’s lines were marked clearly, even more painstakingly.
Moira Young was stunned, never expecting the stern-looking Aiden Webb to act with such focused dedication.
This script was invaluable to Moira Young, a newcomer in the entertainment industry whose acting skills were indeed raw, finding it increasingly challenging to perform with Aiden Webb.
In front of such a star in the film world, her acting skills as a novice paled in comparison.
"It’s a treasure," Moira Young clung to the script, reading it repeatedly, feeling as though her acting could be elevated with this.
Seeing her joy over a mere script, Julian Sinclair’s expression darkened.
He snatched the script from Moira Young, his words carrying a threatening tone, "Don’t accept gifts from strangers, especially strange men."
"Uncle, read the last sentence of the script. Do you still consider it a gift?" Moira Young didn’t argue, letting Julian take the script.
Following her words, Julian Sinclair opened the script to last page; the bottom was inscribed with a large sentence in red.
