Chapter 274: Chapter 274: Possession

If it were an ordinary person, they might not be able to resist Vivian Grant’s pitiful look, but unfortunately, Julian Sinclair is no ordinary person.

And Moira Young is definitely not the kind of person who just puts up with things.

Her possessiveness over Julian Sinclair has long reached an alarming degree. Anyone who tries to get close to Julian, she intensely dislikes.

So she straightforwardly rejected Vivian Grant: "We know the way, and by the looks of it, you’re not much younger than my Uncle, so calling him ’brother’ might be too much for him."

"Moira, how can you talk like that?" Vivian’s face turned awkward after Moira’s blunt words, and she could only laugh dryly to ease the embarrassment.

"My Uncle isn’t your brother, and I’m certainly not your sister. I hope, Auntie, you stop calling me that." Moira said while hugging Julian’s arm tightly and smiled sweetly at him, "Uncle, let’s go home."

Julian affectionately rubbed her little head and nodded happily, "Alright, let’s go home."

Vivian was gutted by Moira’s calling her "Auntie." She’s only twenty-seven, how did she become an auntie!

By the time she came to her senses, Julian and Moira were nowhere to be seen.

She was beyond angry, returning to the dining table with a very unpleasant expression: "Your sister sure has a temper."

"Who told you to mess with the person she cares about most?" Adrian Grant watched the whole drama unfold, still in a good mood.

He had already warned her that Julian had someone in his heart, but this woman didn’t believe it. Now, she should give up completely.

"Lame, I’m leaving." Vivian glared at Adrian resentfully, then suddenly remembered something at the door and turned back with a smile, "Although today wasn’t successful, consider it a favor owed. I’ll treat you to dinner next time."

Adrian waved his hand, "No need for dinner. Introducing a couple of pretty girls to me would be better."

"Don’t worry, I won’t forget it." Vivian gave him a wink, indicating that it was all in her hands.

Once everyone left, Adrian was the only one left in the room. Finding it dull, he grabbed a few bites and then drove to a bar.

When Julian and Moira got home, Moira didn’t speak to him the entire time.

Faced with his little miss at home, what could Julian do besides coax her?

But like any unreasonable girlfriend, when Moira got mad, she was equally irrational.

She frowned unhappily at Julian, "Who exactly was that woman just now?"

"I don’t know her." Julian sighed helplessly, "Adrian brought her."

"Then why did she call you that?" Moira still felt uncomfortable thinking about that look.

"I don’t know." Julian sighed again; he truly didn’t know.

Moira remained upset, pouting and sitting on the couch with an annoyed expression, watching Julian peel an orange for her, her face frosty throughout.

Finally, it was only when Julian promised to take her out for some relaxation that her attention shifted.

That day Moira was on vacation at home, and thinking it was a waste to just sit idly, she wanted to check on the store’s renovation with Evan Howard.

She glanced at Julian reading in the living room and casually said to him, "Uncle, I’m going out for a bit."

"Where to?" Julian saw that she was all dressed up and couldn’t help but ask.

"I thought the weather was nice, so I wanted to go for a walk." Moira casually found an excuse to brush him off.

But how sharp is Julian? He saw through her lie in a glance.

He gave Moira a slight look and then stood up, "I’ll go with you."

Scared that he would follow, Moira quickly waved her hand to refuse, "That’s not necessary, I can go by myself."

Before Julian could change clothes, she had already run off and disappeared.

So, she didn’t see the chill emanating from Julian. His little girl was hiding something from him, and this realization made him very unhappy.

Moira went out, hailed a taxi, and went to the store directly. When she arrived at the store entrance, she saw a huge sign outside. Once inside, she found out that it was fully renovated, just waiting to open.

At that moment, Evan was making a detailed operation plan inside the store. When he glanced up and saw a lovely figure, a smile immediately appeared.

"Moira, you’re here." 𝕗𝗿𝕖𝐞𝐰𝗲𝕓𝐧𝕠𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝐨𝚖

Moira took off her sunglasses and smiled at him, "The renovation looks pretty good, thank you for your hard work."

"The designer you introduced was excellent, and the construction team got things done for the money. At such a high price, they didn’t dare be sloppy."

Evan didn’t dare take credit. He practically did nothing, just came by to supervise out of boredom. Besides that, everything was managed by Moira, so he couldn’t really claim it was hard work.

"In a few days, we can pick an auspicious date to have our grand opening." Moira smiled, feeling that their efforts were not in vain, as their store was about to open.

"Do you have any suggestions for operating or managing the store? Feel free to share them. I’m writing the operation plan, and it could give me some inspiration."

Evan tapped away on the keyboard, appearing rather troubled.

Moira pursed her red lips and slowly began, "I don’t have much expertise in this area. Maybe I can think it over after going back?"

"Sure, when you go back, think it over and if you have any suggestions, let me know." Evan said, tapping a few more words on the computer, finding them unsatisfactory and hitting delete once more.

Moira nodded, about to get up when Evan invited her, "Want to have dinner together?"

She shook her head to refuse, "No need, I have other things to do. Let me know when you’ve confirmed the opening date."

Seeing her refusal, Evan didn’t insist and only sent her off.

On the way back, Moira kept thinking that if Julian Sinclair could attend the ribbon-cutting, they might save a big chunk of the promotional budget. It would probably bring some good business to the store.

The more she thought about it, the more she found the idea feasible, and she was more determined than ever to have Julian cut the ribbon for their store.

Evening, Sinclair Residence.

The cool breeze blew through the summer night as Moira Young paced back and forth outside Julian Sinclair’s study after showering.

Since she returned, Julian had hardly spoken to her. Her solo outing in the afternoon had left him extremely displeased, and naturally, he wouldn’t take the initiative to speak with Moira now.

Moira bit her red lip and paced back and forth. How should she bring up this matter with Julian Sinclair so that he wouldn’t get angry and would agree to attend the ribbon-cutting?

After about thirty circles, Julian finally couldn’t resist anymore and said, frowning, "If you have something to say, come in."

Hearing Julian’s voice, Moira obediently moved inside, standing with her head lowered in front of Julian, her voice as soft as a mosquito’s: "Uncle, I, I want to ask you for a favor."
