Sweet Wife So Charming: CEO: Hold Back Your Heart-Chapter 272: Discussion
When Julian Sinclair was lost in the tender embrace, far away in Vesperia, Zayne Sinclair was already starting to stir restlessly.
To overthrow Julian Sinclair, he approached Quentin Rhodes.
Quentin had always harbored a grudge over Julian’s broken engagement, and didn’t look favorably upon Zayne either.
"Young Master Sinclair has come in person, what’s the matter? If there’s nothing, I kindly ask you to leave quickly."
Zayne was slightly dissatisfied with Quentin’s perfunctory attitude, but realizing he needed something from him, he laughed and said, "Uncle, please don’t be angry. I have something to discuss with you this time."
"Oh? Do you now?" Quentin sneered repeatedly, "I thought there’s nothing left to discuss between our two families."
"Uncle, don’t reject so quickly. I believe what I have to say will interest you." Facing Quentin’s cold eyes, Zayne remained unfazed and patiently explained to him.
Businessmen are always profit-driven. Since Zayne said it would be interesting, Quentin thought he might as well see what’s being proposed and remained silent, tacitly accepting.
Seeing this, Zayne stopped beating around the bush and directly stated his intentions: "Uncle, have you considered a marriage alliance with the Sinclair family?"
The moment the words ’marriage alliance’ were spoken, Quentin’s expression changed: "Since Julian Sinclair chose to break the engagement with my Rhodes family, I will not consider marrying into the Sinclair family again."
Though he said this, if Fiona could win Julian back, the idea of a marriage alliance with the Sinclair family might not be impossible. But he certainly wouldn’t let Julian easily marry his Fiona.
Seeing his strong reaction, Zayne quickly reassured him, "Uncle, you’ve misunderstood. I didn’t mean with Julian."
"What do you mean by that?" Quentin’s expression was cold and serious.
"The Sinclair family has more sons than just Julian." Zayne hinted without stating directly.
With Quentin’s intelligence, he understood immediately, glancing at him before seriously saying, "Do you mean for me to marry Fiona to you?"
Zayne didn’t deny it and nodded slightly: "Yes."
"You’re dreaming. Julian broke our engagement, and now you’re proposing? What, are you toying with us!?" Quentin’s heart wavered slightly, considering the idea, but he still didn’t put on a pleasing face for Zayne.
"Uncle, marrying into the Sinclair family is all benefit and no harm. Are you sure you don’t want to consider it?" Zayne respectfully hoped Quentin would consider well.
His flattering demeanor indeed pleased Quentin. Compared to Julian, Zayne might be much easier to control.
He had to admit, he was indeed moved.
"Julian’s breaking the engagement disgraced the Rhodes family. If you are willing, I can join forces with you to take down Julian." Zayne pressed his advantage.
Seeing Quentin silent, Zayne also refrained from saying more, slowly adding, "Take your time, Uncle. If you have an answer, feel free to contact me anytime."
After Zayne left, Quentin fell into deep thought.
Considering Julian’s personality, it wouldn’t be easy for Fiona to win him over. Both Zayne and Julian are sons of the Sinclair family, so marrying Fiona to Zayne might not be a bad option.
It’s just that Zayne’s abilities still fall short compared to Julian’s. If possible, he would prefer to marry Fiona to Julian.
Indecisive, he had to ask his son for advice.
After hearing what Quentin had to say, Quentin Rhodes pondered for a few seconds before responding, "Let’s see how Fiona performs in China. If it’s really disappointing, then consider it."
"That’s exactly my thought," Quentin agreed.
"In terms of capability, Zayne indeed doesn’t compare to Julian. If Fiona can successfully reconcile with Julian, that would be ideal. Moreover, her future influence in the entertainment circle would greatly benefit our Rhodes Group."
At this point, Quentin Rhodes sighed, "But I think we must prepare for both outcomes. Fiona always aims high but falls short of success."
Quentin also sighed slightly, "Yes, that girl’s always been a handful. If she succeeds, fine, but if she fails, we’ll send her back to Vesperia immediately for marriage."
Far away in China, Fiona was unaware that her father and brother had little faith in her, even considering marrying her off to Zayne Sinclair.
At the moment, she was solely focused on establishing herself in the entertainment industry, even having no time to deal with Moira Young.
She knew that if she couldn’t make a name for herself in the entertainment industry, she would definitely be sent back to Vesperia. But until she could win back Julian’s heart, she absolutely wouldn’t return.
With Fiona not causing trouble in the background, Moira Young was thriving in the entertainment industry.
Every day, though tiring, she enjoyed that fulfilling feeling.
At three in the afternoon, while Moira Young was shooting an advertisement, her phone suddenly rang. Seeing the caller was Julian Sinclair, the corner of her mouth involuntarily lifted.
But the moment she answered the phone, she intentionally let her voice turn cold, "Hello."
"Moira, are you done?" Julian’s gentle voice came through the phone.
"Not yet." Moira replied indifferently, but if you looked closely, her eyes were full of starlight.
Despite Moira’s aloofness, Julian wasn’t at all upset. Instead, he chuckled indulgently, "I’m waiting downstairs at your company. Let’s have dinner together later."
Moira hummed awkwardly, "Who wants to have dinner with you."
"I have a gift for you," Julian added.
Hearing about a gift, Moira’s eyes lit up again, but she then pouted, "It’s probably another bag or something. I’m not interested."
"It’s neither a bag nor jewelry," Julian raised an eyebrow.
Moira became curious and couldn’t help but ask, "Then what is it?"
"You’ll find out later," Julian teased, refusing to tell Moira.
Unable to do anything, she hung up and finished the shoot quickly, then dashed downstairs to meet Julian.
Seeing her eager demeanor, the surrounding staff couldn’t help but laugh and cast envious glances at her. Who wouldn’t want a boyfriend like Julian Sinclair? Moira Young was truly lucky.
While they envied, none dared to be jealous. Even Fiona Rhodes had been warned by Julian, so targeting Moira Young would be like courting death.
Moira Young left Joe and hurriedly headed to the company entrance.
A flashy silver-white Maserati was parked there, and through the open window, she saw Julian Sinclair sitting inside, focused on his phone.
Upon hearing footsteps, he slowly turned his head, and seeing it was her, the corners of his mouth unconsciously lifted. His voice was incredibly gentle, "You’re here."
"Hmm." Moira feigned indifference and turned her head away, waiting for Julian to get out and open the car door for her.
Having grown accustomed to treating Moira as a princess, Julian helplessly got out of the car, gallantly opened the door, and helped her in, then smiled as he returned to the driver’s seat.
