Surprise Marriage to a Billionaire-Chapter 401: Cliche
Chapter 401: Cliche
William squinted his eyes at Sanya as she walked into their bedroom after cleaning up and changing into sleepwear.
"What?" Sanya asked, recognizing the suspicious look William was giving her.
"So, what’s with you and that doctor?" he asked with a frown.
"Ah, we’re good friends. He likes me, but I can’t see myself in a romantic relationship with him, so I straightforwardly rejected him," Sanya said casually as she joined William on the bed.
She was still annoyed at Ivan, but that man had that attitude sometimes, so it was nothing new to her. To be honest, Ivan was a good catch, but she found him weird most of the time, not to mention his mood swings.
"So, he’s probably sulking, especially now that he met me! Seeing how you got someone much better in everything!" William proudly stated, his eyes glinting as he looked at her.
Sanya chuckled, recognizing that look from her husband. He was waiting for her to agree, so she stared back at him with a wicked smile and said, "Of course! My husband is the best."
William frowned and shrugged, murmuring, "That’s all?"
"Hmm, you’re more handsome, richer!" she teased with a grin.
"He’s more of a genius, I guess? After all, he’s the hope for Dad’s recovery..." William murmured with a sigh. "To be honest, when he cut you off earlier, I wanted to throw my fork at him, but I didn’t. I’m trying not to get on his bad side... Who knows if he’s a petty guy or not? He might end up jeopardizing the cancer research or delaying it just because he’s annoyed with me."
William sighed again and confessed, "I’m willing to bend if it involves my Dad... even beg if needed."
Sanya grabbed his hand and gently caressed it. "Don’t worry. If there’s one good thing about Ivan, it’s his dedication to his work. Regardless of whether it benefits a friend or enemy, he’s hellbent on bringing cures to everything and making advancements in science and medicine," Sanya reassured him.
"Today was truly a blessing, hearing about Rain’s pregnancy. I can only hope I get pregnant soon too," Sanya added with a sigh. It wasn’t like she was competing with Rain, but she was envious. It would be nice if she and Rain got pregnant at the same time. That would be amazing, and her father-in-law would definitely be so, so happy!
William’s expression softened as he listened to Sanya’s heartfelt words. He reached out and gently cupped her cheek, his thumb brushing against her skin. "Hey, don’t stress yourself about it," he said tenderly. "It’ll happen when the time is right. And trust me, our baby will come into this world when everything’s perfect for us."
Sanya leaned into his touch, feeling comforted by his reassurance. "I know, but I just can’t help but feel a little... impatient, you know?" she admitted with a small laugh.
William smiled, pulling her closer until she was nestled against his chest. "I understand. I’m like you too since I want my father to be always happy. I’m sure he’ll be more happy if you’re also pregnant. But we don’t need to hurry it..."
His gaze darkened with a familiar intensity as he gently pushed her back onto the bed, his body hovering over hers. "But," he continued, his voice dropping into a hoarse whisper, "we can still keep trying to make babies. Like right now."
Before Sanya could respond, William captured her lips in a deep, searing kiss. The heat of his passion melted away any lingering worries, replacing them with the overwhelming warmth of his love and desire.
Sanya’s hands instinctively wrapped around his neck, pulling him closer as she surrendered to his kiss. "Right let’s keep on trying," she murmured against his lips, her breath hitching when his fingers began to trail down her sides.
Sanya felt her breath catch as William’s lips moved from her lips to trail kisses along her jawline and down to her neck. His touch was gentle but deliberate, igniting a familiar fire within her.
It was always like this with William, where she felt like she was anticipating what was to come, even though she already knew what would happen next. She always felt the same excitement and anticipation with him.
"You drive me crazy," she whispered, her voice barely audible as her hands explored the muscles of his back, feeling the tension beneath his skin.
William smirked against her neck. "Good. Because you’ve been driving me crazy since the moment I met you."
Sanya chuckled softlyt. The phrase "driving me crazy" had become a playful constant between them, one they often exchanged during their moments of intimacy. Yet, no matter how often it was said, it never lost its meaning... it was always true.
They did drive each other crazy, in the best possible way.
William smiled, brushing a strand of hair from her face as he looked at her. "What’s so funny?"
"Just us," Sanya said, her fingers tracing lazy patterns on his chest. "That phrase... It’s like our little trademark during these moments. But honestly, you really do drive me crazy."
He smirked, leaning down to press a kiss to her nose. "Good, because you drive me absolutely insane," he replied, his tone deep and playful.
Sanya rolled her eyes but couldn’t suppress her grin. "We’re such a cliche, aren’t we?"
"Maybe," William teased, "but I don’t mind being redundant when it comes to you Sanya."
William shifted slightly, his hand sliding under her sleepwear, the warmth of his palm sending shivers through her body. Like always, William effortlessly undressed both himself and Sanya, carelessly tossing their clothes onto the floor. She smiled as William stared at her face.
"What?" she murmured.
William just smiled back before leaning down and kissing her lips again.
No matter how many times they shared moments like this, it always felt like the first time. Their love was passionate yet comforting, fiery yet grounding... beautiful contradiction that seemed to define them.
