Surprise! I've Transmigrated Again-Chapter 221 - ⤞ Synchro Summon
The Adventurers in " Danmachi " and " KonoSuba " have distinctly different systems for Leveling Up, or Ranking Up.
In DanMachi, ranking up requires both excelia and Parameters — specifically the Basic Abilities.
Parameters are graded from A (highest) to I (lowest). To Rank Up, adventurers must achieve two things: reach at least D-rank in any basic ability and accomplish significant feats to gain high-rank excelia.
When an adventurer ranks up, their Parameters reset to I and must be built up again. This reset doesn't weaken them — instead, their previous abilities become permanent improvements to their body.
This creates a cycle: build parameters, achieve great deeds, Rank Up, and repeat.
Exceptional Adventurers can surpass these limits. Some reach S-rank status, and a few extraordinary ones can even achieve SS-rank.
Bell exemplifies this — at Level 1, he achieved S-rank in all stats. After slaying the Minotaur, this remarkable feat earned him Level 2.
By Level 2, he had pushed even further: his Magic reached S-rank, his Agility soared to SSS, and his remaining stats broke through to SS before advancing to Level 3. This made him exceptionally powerful compared to other adventurers!
These are the benchmarks Adam must strive for!
Upon ranking up, adventurers gain access to "Development Abilities".
These abilities — Mystery, Adventure, Hunter, Luck, Blacksmith, Magic, Swordsmanship, Abnormal Resistance, and others — shape an adventurer's growth. While the Gods don't directly intervene, most adventurers heed their deity's guidance in choosing these abilities.
"Say, am I invincible now?"
Examining his status paper, Adam could barely contain himself from shouting, "I am unrivaled under the heavens!"
His excitement was understandable — his skills were truly extraordinary!
What does "stronger in desperate situations" mean?
Simple: "can't fight at full power unless at low HP!"
Just as Adam prepared to lament the loneliness of being invincible, Hestia leaped up and bonked his head.
"Ouch."
As he rubbed his head, Hestia scolded him, "Adam, don't let pride cloud your judgment. Remember, Orario is home to many powerful individuals with unique abilities — someone might have just the right power to counter yours."
Her petite face carried a stern expression, clearly warning him against overconfidence.
"Yes, yes, I know." Adam waved his hand understandingly, "But with this skill, I can be a little proud, right?"
"...Well, that's true." Hestia felt extremely conflicted.
When her Familia members lacked powerful skills, she would comfort and guide them — yet when they gained them, she would warn against pride and complacency.
Being new to leading a Familia, this approach was quite troublesome. With Bell, she had simply hidden his skill from him.
But Adam was different. This youth who had just joined her Familia possessed incredible talent.
Moreover, he was mature, steady, and knew his limits — such a perfect Familia member shouldn't have his enthusiasm dampened.
However... Hestia glanced at Bell's envious expression nearby. She knew that praising Adam too much would make him feel inferior.
Subconsciously, she still favored Bell more.
"But isn't something wrong with my magic?" Adam examined his magic slots with furrowed brows, looking dissatisfied.
In DanMachi, every adventurer had a maximum of three magic slots, no exceptions. The same applied to him.

But all three of his slots were already filled!
Any ordinary Adventurer would be overjoyed to have three magic skills. But Adam's case was different — his special abilities had taken up magic slots, effectively leaving him with two fewer slots for actual magic!
"What's going on..." He muttered, puzzled.
Skills in DanMachi were essentially talents, either inborn or acquired by Adventurers. Perhaps because Adam's abilities came from another being, they occupied his magic slots — though this was just speculation.
Still, with〚Analyze and Copy〛, he could dominate other Adventurers even without additional magic!
He studied the magic slots again.〚World Traveling〛and〚Analyze and Copy〛needed no explanation — he already knew their effects and usage methods.
What caught his attention was the newly appeared magic〚Synchro Summon〛.
====================
{ Synchro Summon }
{ Description }: Summon beings who have formed a contract with oneself (matching mana wavelength). After obtaining their consent and paying mana equal to their inherent amount, they can be summoned to one's side.
{ Note }: Limited to Spirits!
{ Chant }: Descend! Manifest in your complete form in this world, Synchro Summon!
====================
This skill was clearly meant for that tsundere little girl.
Looking at this magic, though not explicitly stated, Adam felt that every line seemed to spell out one word — Betty.
Could Beatrice, being a Spirit, really come to DanMachi? Was fulfilling his promise to take her away truly this simple?
"Adam, hey, Adam!" Hestia shook his arm, trying to bring him back from his thoughts.
"W-what is it, Goddess Hestia?"
"I saw you lost in thought. Is something wrong? You can tell me if you have any troubles." Hestia puffed out her chest proudly, "After all, I am your Goddess!"
"...Is that so." Adam's mouth twitched with resigned amusement.
Then he noticed Bell wearing the same expression beside him.
They looked at each other and suddenly burst out laughing.
"Haha..."
"Hahaha..."
"Eh, what's wrong, what's wrong?"
Hestia wore a blank expression, completely unaware of what was happening. No matter how much she asked, the two just kept laughing without answering.
Only when she puffed up her cheeks in anger did they finally stop. In this moment, the initial barrier between Bell and Adam naturally disappeared, and they grew closer.
"No, Goddess Hestia, thank you for your concern, but I don't have any troubles."
"Then..."
"Actually, something good might happen."
"What good thing?!" Hestia's eyes immediately lit up — it had been a long time since anything good had happened.
If Adam said it, then it must really be something good.
"Well, we might be adding a new member."
"A new member—?!" They exclaimed in unison.
As they expressed their surprise, he slowly nodded, "However, it's not certain yet, because I don't know if I can summon her here, so..."
"Oh! It's Adam's skill!" Hestia immediately understood what he wanted to do.
As the Goddess who granted the Falna, she naturally knew what magic her familia children possessed.
"Yes, so I want to try." Adam had this idea, but he still needed to ask his Goddess — of this world — first, "Goddess Hestia?"
"You may, I approve." She nodded firmly, "I trust you, Adam, so whoever you summon must also be trustworthy. Therefore, I approve."
"Thank you, Goddess Hestia."
Having received approval, he began to cast the magic.

Descend!
Manifest in your complete form in this world, Synchro Summon!
Beatrice!

…
"..."
Beatrice did not appear beside Adam. The summoning had failed.
The reason was simple: insufficient mana. He suddenly remembered that before leaving, fearing a surprise attack from Pandora, he had given Beatrice a substantial portion of his mana.
Checking his current mana levels, he realized there was no way he could match hers!
There was only one solution to successfully summon the spirited young girl.
Rank up!
If Bell could advance from Level 1 to Level 4 in four months, surely he, Adam Carter, could rocket from Level 1 to Level 5 in just one month, right?
... Yeah, right. As if that would be possible!
