Supreme Husband System! & Supreme Wife System!-Chapter 319: I’m glad you’re okay
Chapter 319: I’m glad you’re okay
Idan and Arslan did not have to wait long for Arabel and the others to descend from heaven. Remembering at the last moment, Idan donned his Ghost mask to hide his real identity from the girls.
The burning village itself served as a bright beacon for Arabel and the girls.
Idan watched with a smile as Arabel rapidly approached, with two pairs of snow-white wings visible on her back.
Meeting her cold, indifferent azure eyes in her Valkyrie form, Idan couldn’t understand Arabel’s true mood. Despite his smile, his back began to break out in sweat.
"Ah, Belle..." said Idan, stepping forward. However, as soon as he approached her, black strands similar to the hair of the Outsider Leaders rushed towards him from behind Arabel. In a split second, they wrapped around him, binding and immobilizing him.
"What the hell?" exclaimed Idan, trying to escape from captivity, but all his efforts were in vain. He immediately came up with the idea of transforming into an Alpha of Fire and using the power of the element of light to break the shackles, but after looking at Arabel’s still indifferent face, he changed his mind.
Idan waited with bated breath for Arabel’s next move. He was ready to accept any decision she made with his eyes closed.
Arabel just sighed, closed her eyes, and then, opening them, stepped to Idan and hugged him tightly.
"I’m so glad you’re okay," although Arabel seemed indifferent and calm, inside she was worried about Idan and her brother. Now, seeing that both of them were safe, she finally found peace of mind.
"Do you have any idea how worried I was after what you did?" Arabel asked resentfully, looking into Idan’s eyes when he opened them.
"I’m sorry, Belle. But I don’t regret what I did," Idan said, and although he roughly understood Arabel’s feelings, he felt no remorse. Moreover, he was willing to repeat his act in the future if it would help protect her.
"You fool!" she exclaimed and hit him lightly, and Idan just smiled in response to her action.
Then she hugged him again, and this time, a smile finally appeared on her face. Seeing this, Idan felt calmer and turned his gaze to the girls.
"Huh?" he exclaimed, startled when instead of six girls, there were only five in front of him.
"Where’s Hailey?" he asked them, not finding her among them.
They just shook their heads and stared at Arabel.
"What did you do to her?" asked Idan, turning to Arabel.
"Who are you talking about, Ethan?" she asked with a charming smile on her face. Seeing that smile, Idan regretted bringing up the subject.
"Are you talking about your girlfriend?" asked Arabel.
"Eh? What are you talking about? Who’s my girlfriend? You’re my girlfriend!" he replied quickly, trying not to provoke her anger.
"You didn’t kill her, did you?"
"Huh?" Arabel was surprised this time when she heard Idan’s question. "Do you think I’m capable of that?"
"Ahem," Idan coughed awkwardly, and then said, "No. Of course not."
"I just cooled her down a little," Arabel admitted with a sigh.
"Well, if she’s alive, then everything’s fine," sighed Idan with relief.
After releasing Idan, Arabel finally paid attention to her younger brother.
"Brother," she said, addressing Arslan.
"Ah, sister. You just look great," Arslan replied awkwardly, still lost in thought about Idan’s words.
Noticing her brother’s strange behavior, Arabel turned her gaze to Idan, looking for an explanation, but he just shrugged his shoulders.
"Will you set me free?" asked Idan, still bound by Arabel’s strange black threads.
"No," Arabel replied decisively, leaving Idan tied up and heading towards her brother. Idan was stunned by this turn of events, not expecting such a rejection from her.
It wasn’t until she reached her brother that Arabel realized she was still in her Ice Valkyrie form. She quickly reversed the transformation, returning to her true form.
"I’m so glad you’re okay," Arabel finally wrapped her little brother in a big hug.
After about three months apart, they were finally reunited, although Arabel was well aware that for Arslan this period lasted much longer — more than one year and nine months.
Arslan, sensing his sister’s genuine concern, also hugged her tightly. He also couldn’t help but admit how much he had missed her, and all the worries he had been carrying around until that moment had finally dissipated.
"I’m glad you’re okay too, sister," he said with a sincere smile on his face.
The girls had a lot of questions about what had happened in the square, the corpses they had seen, the whereabouts of the other awakened ones and the enemies, as well as the portal that was still open and emitting a lot of pressure. However, no one said a word, quietly watching the reunion of the brother and sister.
Arabel, hugging her younger brother, felt the warmth of his body and heard the beating of his heart. She was happy to see that everything was fine with him and he was alive and well. At that moment, something inside her changed.
After opening her status, she immediately noticed the bloodline function line. Delighted to see that she had finally overcome the last 1 percent, Arabel realized that she had completely mastered her bloodline.
Satisfied, she closed the status window and turned her attention back to her younger brother. Right now, reuniting with her twin brother was more important to her than her bloodline.
After putting out the fire in the village, Ned joined the group in the form of a dark fox, attracting the attention of the girls. They were so surprised by his sudden appearance that they immediately took up arms and almost attacked him.
"Freeze!" — Idan shouted, stopping them.
Ned, after a fleeting glance at the girls, ran up to Idan, wagging his tail joyfully, waiting for a reward for the task he had completed. However, when he saw his master’s condition, he froze and only looked at Idan in confusion.
Idan, sighing softly, waited for Arabel to calm down and release him after talking to his brother. At this time, Arabel began to ask her younger brother questions that interested her. Suddenly, both of them received notifications from their System.
[Ding! Task: "Eliminate all outsiders and rescue the abducted Awakened Ones!" partially completed.]
[An additional task is given: "Enter one of the imperfect worlds of darkness and light and rescue the abducted Awakened Ones." The deadline for completing the task is 10 days from another world (a little more than three Earth days)." The value of the rewards will be increased when completing an additional task. Hosts have the right to refuse an additional assignment and complete the current one with low marks.]
Idan and Arabel were overjoyed at first, thinking that the System had finally declared the task completed. However, they soon frowned and, after looking at each other, turned their gaze to the portal leading to another world.
Both of them couldn’t believe that the System was asking them to go to a completely different world and rescue the abducted awakened ones.
