Supreme Husband System! & Supreme Wife System!-Chapter 299: I did everything wrong!
Chapter 299: I did everything wrong!
"Hey! Hey! Hey! What the hell are you all running at me for?" exclaimed Idan, watching a wave of angry Beasts moving towards him.
His first thought was to turn around and run, but he quickly realized that he couldn’t just leave. This wave of enraged beasts would simply tear apart the mortals who stood behind him.
"Although I don’t really care about their lives, I don’t want them to die because of my flight, but I don’t intend to die for them either," Idan thought.
"If you can’t go back, forward, or sideways, then you can only go up and down," Idan told himself, looking down at his feet. "I’m not a mole."
Then he looked up and remembered that he was still in his Alpha of Fire form. Many had already seen what he was capable of, and there was no time to worry about it now.
Idan instantly made a decision and, using his ability to fly, opened his fiery wings. After crouching down for a bit, he kicked off the ground and soared into the sky before the wave of beasts that had reached him by then managed to engulf him.
"Rraaarch!" the beasts roared as they saw their prey soar upward.
"Heh, you can’t reach me now."
The beasts began to climb on top of each other, trying to get to him.
Looking at the beasts below him and wondering what to do, Idan did not notice how a huge bird resembling an owl was rushing towards him from the sky. The bird moved with incredible speed and silently.
It was only at the last moment that Idan sensed someone’s presence, and in the short time he had, he only managed to put out his sword to avoid the attack.
The impact was so strong that it knocked him from the sky to the ground.
"Guah!" — With a crash, Idan collapsed to the ground, forming a small crater and a small explosion.
At the place where he fell, the flames from which his wings were created raged.
"Ah... huh?"— Idan, a little confused after falling, noticed the strangeness when he got up.
However, his thoughts were interrupted by the appearance of the beasts, which immediately attacked him with their sharp claws.
Still a little confused, Idan gripped his sword tightly and, filling it with aura and the element of fire, delivered a wide horizontal blow that covered a large area.
There were many beasts, so Idan did not aim to hit only one target, but tried to attack as many enemies as possible.
"They’re just bronze and silver ranked beasts. There are no golden—ranked beasts among them," Idan pointed out as he struck.
A powerful arc made of two types of energy easily and unhindered passed through the first row of Beasts, then through the second and third, losing its sharpness and strength with each collision.
With this one blow, Idan destroyed about a dozen Beasts.
Squatting down and pushing off, he soared into the sky again, this time surrounding himself with his Soul Force, and turned his attention to the sky.
"Where is that damn bird?" Idan began searching the night sky for the one who had recently attacked him. But no matter how Idan looked, he couldn’t detect it.
Looking down, dan saw that the Beasts were still aiming at him and staring at him, ignoring the mortals, who still did not understand what was happening and did not open fire.
Idan was already beginning to guess that perhaps those creatures, the outsiders, had deliberately set these beasts on him.
Then Idan remembered what had happened. He carefully examined his body, but he did not find any serious injuries, not to mention the pain that he did not feel when he fell.
It was completely different from his previous feelings when he just jumped off the roof of a building and felt pain in his legs. However, now, as far as Idan could remember, he had fallen from a great height, and not in free fall, but with acceleration.
"How could I forget about this?" Idan thought. And then it dawned on him that he was no longer a human, but an Alpha of Fire.
His transformation wasn’t a simple change in appearance. It wasn’t just a disguise, but a complete transformation of his essence.
"Even with the memories of the ascension trial when I had the Alpha of Fire System, I still think like an ordinary person. In this form, I should not think like a human, but like an Alpha of Fire and fight like an Alpha of Fire," Idan said in his mind. He began to recall all the abilities and techniques he had learned during the ascension trial when using another system.
"Let’s try it," he said to himself, soaring into the air. Having reached a sufficient height, Idan looked down with a slight fear, swallowed and, after a little hesitation, made a decision. He charged down at great speed, straight at the crowd of Beasts.
His fiery wings transformed as he fell and shifted forward, forming something like a shield.
Boom!
A powerful explosion rang out, and fragments of mud and bloody pieces of beasts flew in all directions. A large crater was formed at the crash site, engulfed in flames.
"Ah ha ha ha, — came Idan’s laughter. "It worked!"
The flames that were raging around him seemed to move at Idan’s command and soon turned into his wings.
Watching this, Idan couldn’t help but smile.
"I did everything wrong!" exclaimed Idan, looking at the beasts, which, despite the fact that he had killed so many of them, continued to approach without any fear.
"This is a great opportunity to test yourself!" thought Idan, preparing to meet the wave of beasts.
He wasn’t afraid now, but rather looking forward to the start of the battle.
It was only now that Idan began to understand why, despite the fact that he and Arabel had obtained the bloodlines of the Alpha of Fire and the Ice Valkyrie by opening the so-called "Paths of Sword" and "Paths of Magic", there were almost no abilities and skills related to their bloodline in these separate windows.
Yes, there was a sword technique and a simple standard technique in the Path of the Sword, but the rest of the skills and abilities remained unknown and inaccessible. Idan and Arabel didn’t know what these skills were or how to unlock them.
The Path of Magic offered nothing but the ability to use basic spells based on the proximity of the two elements.
"System didn’t give us skills, not because it couldn’t, but because it left it all to us. System wants us to find our own fighting style. This is also in line with the advice of the System — not to rely too much on it and to develop our own abilities."
Immediately after that, Idan, remembering the abilities he had used during the ascension trial, began to transform his fiery wings. They transformed into dozens of fiery blades that hovered behind his back, taking the shape of his wings.
"Unlike Arabel, my stats tend more towards magic, as do those of the Alpha Fire race who are strong in this area," Idan said, looking at the fire blades with excitement. "However, that doesn’t stop me from combining close combat with magic."
His words caused the soft rustle of the fiery blades, which immediately began to move.
Idan controlled all these blades using his Soul Force. Although he knew how to do it, it was unusual and difficult for him to control so many blades individually at the same time. As a result, two or three blades fell on each beast at once. ƒгeeweɓn૦vel.com
Not a single bronze or silver ranked beast could properly dodge and survive the attacks of the Idan fiery blades.
