Supreme Electromagnetic Tyrant-Chapter 708 - 431 Hatching
Chapter 708: Chapter 431 Hatching
Pingshu was rendered speechless upon hearing this.
Titanium Cobalt Lan had not expected Ji Xinghuo to make such a request and hurriedly tried to persuade him, "Xinghuo, that is just a dead egg; it cannot possibly hatch. It holds no value, so don’t waste your opportunity to choose a dragon."
"I am very interested in it," Ji Xinghuo nodded firmly and asked once more, "Pingshu, may I choose this dragon egg?"
After considering seriously, Pingshu replied, "According to the family rules, unhatched dragon eggs cannot be chosen."
"Why?" Ji Xinghuo furrowed his brows.
"Firstly, because the hatching of a dragon egg has extremely high environmental requirements. Taking it out of the Dragon Breeding Room could possibly lead to a failed hatching, wasting a dragon egg; secondly, even if it successfully hatches, the young dragon may not be willing to accept an owner. If it runs off and becomes a wild dragon, it would result in the loss of family property," Pingshu explained.
But then he changed his tone, adding, "This is a dead egg, without value. If you are willing to use your chance to choose a dragon to obtain it, there shouldn’t be much of a problem."
"Then I will choose it."
Ji Xinghuo made no attempt to hide his happiness.
Doubt flickered in Titanium Cobalt Lan’s eyes. It was clearly a dead egg; why would Ji Xinghuo insist on choosing it? Given Ji Xinghuo’s personality, he shouldn’t be so impulsive as to make such a losing deal for the so-called vanity of Divine Dragon Species.
She had been waiting for Ji Xinghuo to give her some hint, but Ji Xinghuo had made no sign at all.
But she no longer spoke out to dissuade him.
Intelligence gleamed in Pingshu’s murky eyes as he suddenly asked, "Lord Xinghuo, may I know why you want to choose it? I mean no offense, but this Annihilation Dragon Egg has been here for over ten thousand seasons. Since I’ve entered the Dragon Breeding Room, I have studied it countless times to no avail."
Ji Xinghuo knew he couldn’t fool this master of dragon breeding, and his actions were indeed suspicious, but in his urgency, he had no other choice.
"I want to give it a try, perhaps there’s a way to hatch it." He could only provide a vague answer.
"What way?" Pingshu was shocked, "So Lord Xinghuo is also a master dragon breeder!"
"I am ignorant about dragon breeding; I just want to try my luck." Ji Xinghuo shook his head, "I’m sorry, but this involves the secret of my Ability, and I cannot disclose it to anyone."
"Is that so?"
Pingshu was skeptical but did not press further.
After a moment of thought, he cautiously said, "Nonetheless, the Annihilation Dragon is a Divine Dragon Species, and even as a dead egg, it has been here since the building of the Dragon Breeding Room. I cannot simply make a decision on this matter; I must ask for the King’s permission."
He then sent out a message.
Ji Xinghuo wanted to stop him but held back. Pingshu’s reasoning was sound, and he had no grounds to object.
"Then we shall wait for the King’s decision." That was all he could say.
Beep!
Almost at the moment Ji Xinghuo’s words ended, Pingshu’s personal terminal received a reply. He looked at it and showed surprise.
"The King has agreed!" fгee𝑤ebɳoveɭ.cøm
"So quickly?" Titanium Cobalt Lan found it unbelievable. Pingshu’s message had just been sent and was answered instantly, in less than a second.
This meant that the King was keeping an eye on the situation in the Dragon Breeding Room at that very moment.
Even their every move might have been observed by the King, though they had no idea how long this had been the case. The three of them displayed respect on their faces.
Ji Xinghuo was even startled into a cold sweat.
Although he had infused the Annihilation Dragon Egg with his Spiritual Origin Ability without making a single sound and for just a few seconds, showing no outward abnormalities and concealing it well, the Spiritual Origin Ability also had no energy fluctuations, invisible and formless.
However, who could say whether the Titanium Cobalt Dragon King could detect the presence of Spiritual Origin Ability?
And why had the Dragon King agreed so quickly?
Despite not being able to guess, Ji Xinghuo still bowed in the direction of the Yuan Magnetic Palace above and said loudly,
"Thank you, Your Majesty!"
After a few seconds of silence, he received no response, nor did his Perception sense anyone watching him.
Pingshu picked up the Annihilation Dragon Egg, handed it to Ji Xinghuo, "Please take good care of it."
"Thank you, Pingshu."
Holding the dragon egg, Ji Xinghuo noted it was not large, easily resting in one palm, and lighter than he had anticipated, weighing less than 20 kilograms. Other dragon eggs commonly weighed hundreds or even thousands of kilograms.
Having secured the dragon egg, Ji Xinghuo did not linger and bid farewell to Pingshu.
"Lord Xinghuo."
Pingshu personally escorted the two to the entrance of the Dragon Breeding Room, and as they were about to leave, he said to Ji Xinghuo, "If you really do hatch the Annihilation Dragon, may I see it? Of the seven Divine Dragon Species, I have only not seen the Annihilation Dragon and Light Cone Dragon. If I could see an Annihilation Dragon before I die, it would alleviate some of my regrets."
Without hesitation, Ji Xinghuo responded, "Of course."
Pingshu’s eyes brightened; while he had been doubtful of Ji Xinghuo’s ability to hatch the Annihilation Dragon before, now he believed it somewhat.
Ji Xinghuo placed the Annihilation Dragon Egg into a backpack and carried it in his hand.
As the two walked out of the passage, Titanium Cobalt Keming was still there.
He greeted Titanium Cobalt Lan and glanced at Ji Xinghuo. Noticing Ji Xinghuo was without a dragon, he paused but did not inquire.
They took off from the platform, heading back to Titanium Cobalt Lan’s estate. Ji Xinghuo’s Electromagnetic Induction picked up the voice waves of the Dragon Lord guards’ conversation from afar, discerning the content, and they were oblivious to being overheard.
"General Keming, why is that Deserted Person not riding a dragon?"
"Not sure," replied Titanium Cobalt Keming indifferently, "Perhaps no dragon was willing to accept him as a master. That’s none of our concern."
"After all, being from the lowly Deserted People, no matter how talented or powerful one might be, he can’t gain the approval of dragons nor become a Dragon Lord," someone mocked with schadenfreude.
