Super Zoo-Chapter 786 - 765: White-headed Leaf Monkey
```
Seeing someone approaching, the big baboon on the wall picked up a large watermelon, ready to smash it down.
"Looking for trouble, huh!" Suming looked up and shouted at the big baboon.
The red-haired big baboon had poor vision, famously myopic. It thought the voice sounded somewhat familiar and squinted for a long time without recognizing who it was—however, the spiritual power that came through was very familiar and it immediately recognized Suming.
The big baboon sheepishly put down the watermelon, lay on its back, and stuck a finger in its mouth, sucking noisily, pretending as if nothing had happened.
"Enough with the acting," Suming rolled his eyes and knocked on the door downstairs. Quickly, there came the creaking of hinges, and a pair of solid gates opened a crack.
It was a sudden open space at the door, several bison were leisurely grazing with their heads bowed.
Don't be fooled by how docile these guys seem now. If someone tried to break in, a bump from them would be no fun at all. A bison charging at full force could even overturn a car.
Suming walked up to a big bison, patted its back, and the naturally fierce animal swished its tail and bent its front legs to lower itself. Suming pressed on the bison's back and climbed onto its wide spine.
The big bison shook its head and, carrying Suming, walked toward the reserve.
Along the way, it felt like entering an animal kingdom. The density of the animals seen far surpassed that of a typical wild environment and almost rivaled a zoo.
Not far to the east of Orgrimmar City, there was a fairly wide river. There was only one bridge over the river for tourists to use. The bison didn't take the bridge but carried Suming directly into the water.
Bisons and water buffaloes are natural swimmers, and towing a person on the water's surface was effortless. They rippled the water, swimming toward the opposite shore.
Along the banks, many animals were coming to drink. Several large turtles lazily sunned themselves on the bank, their shells glistening. Not far away, a massive alligator had its mouth wide open, eyes narrowed to slits. A hummingbird was darting into and out of the alligator's mouth, searching for food particles trapped between its teeth.
A few smaller Yangtze alligators surfaced, revealing their eyes and observing Suming.
On the back of one of these Yangtze alligators was actually a little otter, its fur sleek and shiny. Leaning back, on its belly was a seashell with a stone held in its little paws.
Thump, thump, thump. The little otter used its belly as a cutting board, hammering the stone onto the shell a few times to crack it open, extracting the tender flesh inside. Just as it was about to eat, it saw Suming riding closer on the big bison. The little creature hesitated for a moment, then somewhat reluctantly picked the meat with its paws and offered it to Suming.
"Heh heh, little guy, thanks, but you eat it," Suming chuckled, tapping the otter's little head with his finger.
The little otter zipped from the back of the Yangtze alligator to the back of the bison, sitting behind Suming, munching noisily on the meat from the shell.
Suming couldn't understand it. Everything here was peaceful; even animals that were natural enemies could coexist harmoniously. Why would they kidnap two humans? What terrible thing had those two done to provoke such anger?
After reaching the shore, he contacted Yingying and Lele with his spiritual power. The two rascals actually came out to greet Suming in makeshift wheelchairs.
"What's up? Disabled?" Suming was taken aback.
When the two pandas saw Suming, they tumbled out of the big wheelchairs and ran over to him, pulling him left and right in a fit of affectionate fawning.
"I'm dizzy… but I'm not disabled…"
The 'big wheelchairs' were like ancient two-wheeled chariots, just without a canopy. The seats were padded with branches and dry grass, and each was pulled by a wild horse. Suming gestured toward the 'big wheelchairs' with his lips, "You two ruling over everything, have you started mistreating animals now?"
Yingying and Lele quickly shook their heads. Suming directed his spiritual power at the two horses pulling the chariots and upon contact, found that the beasts of burden were quite content.
```
It's true when you think about it, a horse is naturally a beast of burden.
"Let's go check on the people."
A young man and woman were confined in a 'house' in Orgrimmar City, which was actually just a large tree hollow that originally housed three White-headed Leaf Monkeys.
Outside the hollow, a large group of ferocious animals had gathered, including lions, tigers, crocodiles, bears, and a few bloodthirsty bat monkeys hanging upside down from the treetops, while two vultures circled overhead.
A few armed Lure People rangers were stationed around, and it seemed they were also guarding these two people.
With such a force, even if several armed police were to come, it would be of no help, and could even make things worse.
Upon seeing someone in a riot suit approaching, the two people confined in the hollow waved frantically at Suming like they had seen their savior.
Perhaps afraid of startling the surrounding ferocious animals, the two were anxious but didn't dare to make too much of a fuss or shout out, their muted cries looking like "save us" when reading their lips.
"Don't be afraid, it's okay," Suming called out to the two of them before asking the approaching Lure rangers what was going on and why they had detained these people like this.
Even if these two didn't follow the rules and acted on their own, scaring them should have been enough, there was no need for such a commotion.
The ranger had yet to speak when Lele the panda could not wait any longer and let out two eager howls.
"What's the matter? You're a panda, howling like a wolf doesn't suit you, does it?"
No sooner had the sound faded than several White-headed Leaf Monkeys came running over from not too far away, hopping and jumping.
White-headed Leaf Monkeys are a nationally protected species with a history of survival spanning over three million years. True to their name, their heads and shoulders are white.
This monkey is one of the twenty-five most endangered primate species in the world and is recognized as one of the rarest monkeys in existence, even rarer than the Golden Monkey, and it is unique to Huaxia.
If Suming remembered correctly, the tree hollow, or rather the old tree where two tourists were confined, was the home of the White-headed Leaf Monkeys.
The three monkeys ran up to Suming, stood upright, and started chattering at him, gesticulating wildly with their front paws, although what they wanted to convey was unclear.
However, they seemed to be very angry, baring their fangs.
What's the matter?
"Divine Envoy... they are injured..." the Lure ranger stammered in broken Chinese.
"Ah? They seem pretty lively, though, jumping around all energetic?" Suming was taken aback, they didn't seem injured, more like offended; maybe those tourists somehow upset them?
Lele the panda clapped his thick paws together with a muffled thwap.
All three White-headed Leaf Monkeys simultaneously turned around and presented their little backsides to Suming.
Three monkey butts, bald and bright red.
Hmm? Suming was startled, something was off. Monkey butts are red, sure, but not this bare, especially White-headed Leaf Monkeys, whose buttocks are usually quite furry and include several white hairs.
