Chapter 1333: Chapter 1383: Congratulations on Becoming Na Yi’s Husband

"Li Yifei." Na Yi grabbed Li Yifei’s hand and led him toward the bed, her face even redder, but there was an unusual sense of excitement and anticipation.

Li Yifei was truly dumbfounded at this moment. Even if Miao women were known to be passionate, wasn’t this a little too much—meeting for just one day and already heading to bed? Most importantly, all he could think about now was using the toilet. He had absolutely no such intentions! He hastily stopped walking and said urgently, "Na Yi... uh, this..."

Na Yi couldn’t pull Li Yifei along and turned her head toward him, puzzled. Seeing the embarrassed expression on Li Yifei’s face, she suddenly let out a chuckle, and then looped her arms around his waist. Meeting Li Yifei’s gaze, she softly whispered something, then buried her head against his chest.

During the earlier chase, when avoiding those attackers, Li Yifei had held Na Yi in his arms, but at the time he hadn’t felt anything. Now, being held by Na Yi, with her openly showing that she was leaving everything up to him—it was a feeling that truly defied description. However, his urge to pee became even stronger. Li Yifei quickly held her shoulders and anxiously said, "Na Yi, I really need to pee. Can you tell me where the toilet is?"

Na Yi raised her head and, seeing Li Yifei’s urgent expression, still seemed somewhat bewildered. Li Yifei resignedly pointed at his crotch and, noticing a water kettle in the room, dashed over, picked it up, and poured water into a nearby cup. Then he gestured toward his crotch again.

Na Yi burst into laughter and quickly grabbed Li Yifei’s hand, leading him downstairs. Soon, she took Li Yifei to an outdoor toilet, and Li Yifei rushed in, finally relieved as he emptied his bladder.

After finishing, Li Yifei exited the toilet only to find Na Yi standing right there at the door, watching him. This made him feel awkward—being guarded by a young woman while using the toilet? The thought alone was enough to make him uncomfortable.

"Haha..." Na Yi let out another soft laugh, extending her hand to grab Li Yifei’s.

Li Yifei quickly dodged her hand, raising his own to indicate they were dirty. Just then, he spotted fresh mountain spring water streaming from a bamboo pipe nearby and hurried over to wash his hands.

Na Yi followed curiously, watching him for a moment before washing her hands as well. She then raised her small hands, indicating they’d been cleaned, and once again reached for Li Yifei’s hand.

At this point, refusing might seem downright rude, and since Li Yifei was still hoping to request something from Bunong, offending Na Yi would be unwise. He could only let her take his hand.

Na Yi grasped his hand, her face breaking into a bright smile, then pulled Li Yifei upstairs again.

Li Yifei was startled—if they went back upstairs, she’d surely drag him into that room again, and he couldn’t afford for that to happen. He quickly gestured toward the outside, indicating he wanted to take a walk outdoors.

That gesture was simple enough for Na Yi to understand. Though she pouted, she still tugged Li Yifei along and headed outside.

This time, when they stepped out, there were many villagers around. Several greeted Na Yi warmly, and she responded with equal enthusiasm, speaking to them excitedly and even pointing at Li Yifei from time to time. Clearly, she was introducing him. As a result, the looks directed at Li Yifei softened considerably, accompanied by an air of friendliness.

Li Yifei wasn’t sure how Na Yi had introduced him, but he had a strong feeling she might have proclaimed him as her lover. Now things seemed to have gotten complicated; perhaps staying inside would’ve been the better choice after all.

While considering whether to return with Na Yi, a young man suddenly dashed toward them. Upon seeing him, Na Yi immediately stepped in front of Li Yifei, a slight tension appearing on her face.

The young man stormed over, shouting angrily at Na Yi, while she staunchly argued back. The two exchanged heated words until the man finally pointed at Li Yifei, his clenched fists audibly cracking.

Na Yi snorted disdainfully, then stepped aside, exposing Li Yifei. She gestured animatedly as she spoke to him, and after some effort, Li Yifei pieced together her meaning: the young man wanted to challenge him to a duel.

Li Yifei couldn’t help but laugh to himself. A duel? Seriously? But to be fair, this was an isolated mountain village cut off from the outside world, so such primal customs weren’t entirely surprising.

Still, because the duel’s stakes involved Na Yi, Li Yifei felt the situation was absurd. Winning might drag him into deeper trouble with Na Yi, but it wasn’t as if losing would mean handing her over to the young man—especially when she clearly didn’t like him. He couldn’t deliberately lose either.

Shaking his head, Li Yifei sighed and nodded toward Na Yi. Instantly, Na Yi cheered joyously and began boasting proudly to the young man about how he would be no match for Li Yifei.

The young man grew even angrier and lunged at Li Yifei, throwing a punch aimed at his chest.

Li Yifei sidestepped effortlessly, dodging the blow. He wanted to gauge the man’s skills first to choose a suitable way of defeating him without embarrassing him too much. That way, Li Yifei could maintain goodwill in the village for his plans.

Yet after just a couple of exchanges, Li Yifei could tell the young man wasn’t particularly skilled. He seemed to have some basic training but lacked True Qi. Against Li Yifei, his level was laughably weak.

To avoid humiliating the young man completely, Li Yifei pretended to spar a few more moves before grabbing his wrist, applying light pressure to twist his arm behind his back, immobilizing him completely.

The young man struggled desperately, but Li Yifei’s strength was far beyond anything he could counter. Enraged, he began shouting loudly.

Li Yifei released his arm—it was clear the duel was over and the outcome undeniable, with no further need to fight. However, the stubborn young man wasn’t ready to yield and charged at Li Yifei again.

With a sigh, Li Yifei immobilized him once more, but even a second defeat didn’t convince him to stop. At this point, Na Yi intervened, chastising the young man sharply.

The young man’s face turned red with anger, and suddenly, he reached toward his waist. Na Yi’s expression changed dramatically as she stepped in front of Li Yifei, shouting furiously at him. The surrounding villagers, previously spectators, began scolding the man as well. The young man gritted his teeth, but ultimately withdrew his hand, let out a frustrated yell, and stormed away.

Li Yifei’s eyes lit up, feeling an inexplicable surge of excitement. What the young man had gone for earlier was probably some sort of dangerous object, and everyone’s reactions indicated their awareness of its power. In Miaojiang, such deadly items likely involved Worm Techniques—precisely what Li Yifei had come seeking. It seemed this village practiced the Worm Technique, and this could be just the place he was looking for.

This was excellent news. Li Yifei had thought it would take days of searching, but rescuing Na Yi had unexpectedly led him directly here.

Although Li Yifei wanted to linger and explore further, Na Yi pulled on his hand, leading him back home. Not wanting to push his luck, he followed her.

Returning to the bamboo house, Li Yifei was relieved when Na Yi didn’t immediately take him to her room. Instead, she ran inside while he waited outside, finally allowing him to breathe easy.

Ten minutes later, Na Yi emerged wearing a completely different outfit. Gone was the simple attire—now she was dressed in an ornate and dazzling Miao ethnic costume adorned with silver jewelry. Her head, body, wrists, and ankles sparkled with silver bracelets and small bells, which jingled melodiously as she moved. Her unique Miao charm left Li Yifei momentarily entranced; she was breathtakingly beautiful, stunning enough to make him lose himself.

Noticing his gaze, Na Yi smiled radiantly and gracefully approached him, holding a cup of water. She beamed as she offered the cup to Li Yifei.

Li Yifei accepted the water instinctively, puzzled by its significance. It looked ordinary, but Na Yi’s ceremonial demeanor hinted at something special.

Na Yi pressed her palms together, bowed deeply to him, then gestured toward the water and pointed at her mouth.

Still confused, Li Yifei watched as Na Yi smiled, took the cup back, sipped lightly from it, and handed it to him again.

This felt somewhat like a poison trial. Unwilling to decline further, Li Yifei took the cup and drank a small sip, guessing it was likely a distinctive Miao custom.

Na Yi’s smile grew brighter as she gestured to him again, encouraging him to drink more.

With a chuckle, Li Yifei brought the cup to his lips and gulped down the rest.

Na Yi laughed happily, placing the empty cup aside before gazing tenderly at Li Yifei. She slowly leaned into his chest.

Uncertain how to react, Li Yifei heard footsteps coming from the stairs and quickly pushed Na Yi away. Bunong appeared shortly thereafter, but upon seeing Na Yi dressed in her festive costume, his expression shifted drastically as he murmured something.

Na Yi nodded, her face blooming with an incomparably sweet smile. Bunong shook his head but then chuckled, turning to Li Yifei and saying, "Li Yifei, congratulations on becoming Na Yi’s husband."

"What?!" Li Yifei shouted in surprise. What was going on? How had he suddenly become Na Yi’s husband?
