Chapter 352: Chapter 182 New Tactics_3

Seeing the massive scale of the confrontation, Yan Fei felt a chill in his heart. Unfortunately, being in the suburbs, the flat terrain below offered no buildings to hide behind from the sweeping approach of the anti-aircraft missiles. Of course, he could use the Drone Missiles to destroy the incoming missiles, but Yan Fei was reluctant to use the precious missiles for a job that could be done by a Naval Cannon. Above the drone, thunderclouds crackling with lightning made high-altitude escape impossible.

The twelve missiles closed off all escape routes for the Drone, and just as they were about to encircle it, triggering the operators behind the scenes to detonate them, the Drone bizarrely shifted from high speed to a standstill, hovering mid-air, before swiftly moving backward. The Ground Radar System couldn’t react in time, resulting in several “Patriot”-3 Anti-aircraft Missiles, which had been chasing the Drone from behind, to overshoot. They surpassed the Drone, ending up in front of it.

The missiles were then detonated by the ground operators, sending countless Steel Ball Bullets dancing in the air, blanketing the entire airspace. Unfortunately for them, by relying on its superior maneuverability, the Drone had already broken through the missile encirclement and distanced itself from that airspace, rendering the Steel Ball Bullet attack ineffective.

Having dealt with this wave of Missile Attacks, the Drone didn’t dare to linger and dashed forward once again, finally leaving land behind and reaching the coast of France. Yan Fei could already see the vast sea, intermittently visible through the thunder and lightning, in the distance. Once the Drone reached the sea, sinking to the ocean floor would allow it to evade this encirclement specifically targeting it.

As Yan Fei caught sight of the sea, he also spotted two warships on the surface. These ships were flying the American flag; judging by their size, the larger one appeared to be a U.S. Navy Arleigh Burke-class Destroyer, while the smaller one seemed to be a Perry-class Frigate. They were docked at the Seine estuary, likely part of the same fleet as the Perry-class Frigate that had been sunk by the Drone in Paris downtown. Moreover, the deck of the Arleigh Burke-class Destroyer was covered in copious amounts of white smoke, suggesting that the six missiles that had just attacked the Drone had likely been launched from this Destroyer.

The Drone, flying at high altitude, had already been locked onto by the Anti-aircraft Radar on the Arleigh Burke-class Destroyer. Thus, the Destroyer launched Anti-aircraft Missiles again, intending to repeat its earlier tactic and use Steel Ball Bullets to damage the Drone. But now that the Drone had reached the sea, it had countless novel tactics at its disposal, a far cry from the tight spots it had faced over land. The Drone dipped its nose and plunged from the high altitude into the sea, out of sight. The launched Anti-aircraft Missiles, which had been chasing the Drone, lost their target and self-destructed in the air.

Once the wave of missiles had all self-destructed, the Drone quickly maneuvered underwater, approaching the Arleigh Burke-class Destroyer from the seabed. It then resurfaced, hovering about two meters above the Sea Level, with its Quantum Radar locking onto the Destroyer in front. It began firing AGM-114 Hellfire Missiles at the Destroyer.

The Drone launched the attack from a very close range to the Arleigh Burke-class Destroyer, giving the Destroyer’s Air Defense System no time to respond. The AGM-114 Hellfire Missiles, enhanced through a Drone Upgrade, skimmed just above the Sea Surface, completely out of reach for the Destroyer’s Phalanx Defense System. Then, a thunderous boom resounded as the reinforced AGM-114 Hellfire Missile struck the Waterline of the Destroyer.
