Super God Grandmaster-Chapter 59 - 55 Before the Break
Chapter 59: Chapter 55: Before the Break
Chapter 59 -55: Before the Break
At that moment, Qing’er couldn’t stop Jiang Shizi in time. She knew Ye Chen was hurt and in so much pain that he almost squeezed out a tear, protesting, “You’re really a crazy woman.”
Only then did Shizi react and said, “You’re wounded too.”
Ye Chen quickly sat a little further, fearing that she might slap him again.
“What happened to you, are you injured all over? What trouble have you gotten into?”
Yu Qing replied, “I was beaten by Haoyu.”
“Hey, didn’t I tell you not to talk about it!”
“Haoyu,” Jiang Shizi pondered for a moment, and said, “Because he saw Dongfang Tang attack Young Master Ze that night? We need to tell Zhan Ze about this right away!”
“So you think I wasn’t beaten bad enough?”, Ye Chen asked.
“Was it last night’s beating?”

“Anyway, don’t ask, don’t get involved. Treat it as if nothing happened.”
Shizi pursed her lips, but still noticed the concerned expression on Qing’er’s face.
“I’d better stay away from you, or you might slap me again. I can’t stand you.”
“They beat you till you’re almost unrecognizable, and you just let it go?” Shizi asked.
“Do you want me to be beaten up again? I knew bringing it up wouldn’t end well. If it weren’t for Jingxing and Haotian insisting that I speak up, I wouldn’t have had to endure this beating. Ah, well, I can’t really blame them,” Ye Chen sighed deeply.
“You were beaten by Haoyu for Zhan Ze. You should tell him.”
“Tell Zhan Ze so he can stand up for me and give Haoyu a good beating, and then Haoyu will come back to retaliate. Are they going to keep going back and forth like this? They can handle it, but I can’t. I’m not Zhan Ze. If anything happens to him, he has the whole Immortal City backing him up. I’m just a country bumpkin who doesn’t even have a home. I just want to live in peace, study for a few years, and not get involved in anything.”
Shizi fell silent after hearing this.
“The solution to the problem isn’t always by resorting to violence. There are many other ways,” Ye Chen said.
“Like pretending nothing happened after being beaten up?” Shizi asked.
“In your eyes, I may seem weak, but I can live with that.”
“Enough talk,” Ye Chen suddenly stood up and said, “I’m going home.”
Shizi asked, “Did I interrupt you two?”
“No, you’re overthinking. I need to go home and attend to my injuries.”
“Why don’t you let Qing’er clean your wounds? She’s very gentle.”
“Don’t ever let Zhan Ze hear you say that, I really don’t want to explain,” Ye Chen said, turning around.
Yu Qing didn’t stop him. She watched as he disappeared into the woods.
“Stop looking, your eyes are about to pop out.” Shizi said.
Yu Qing lowered her head.
“Worried again, aren’t you?” Shizi noticed the anxious look in her eyes.
“Now you understand the feeling of being suffocated! When Zhan Ze asked Ye Chen to do this, he didn’t consider that Ye Chen might get beaten up.” Qing’er stood up.
Shizi pursed her lips, not knowing what to say.
“I don’t know what to say anymore, but I am indeed scared.”
“But you can’t blame Zhan Ze for this. It was Haoyu who beat up Ye Chen, right?”
Upon hearing this, Yu Qing gave a cold laugh and said, “If Zhan Ze hadn’t insisted that Ye Chen identify Dongfang Tang as his attacker, would all this have happened? He didn’t even think about what the consequences would be for Ye Chen.”
“I wouldn’t have thought there would be such consequences either,” Shizi tried to defend Zhan Ze.
“I don’t know what else to say. It was thoughtless.”
Shizi didn’t know what else to say either.
“I just hope this whole mess ends here.” Qing’er was clearly very disappointed.
“Where are you going?” Shizi asked.
“I’m going to see if there’s any medicine at home that I can bring to him.”
“I’ll go home with you,” Shizi also got up and said, “I think I have some liniment in my room, which should help his injuries.”
Zhan Ze wasn’t seriously injured. He had just failed to protect his head that night and was knocked out. When Ye Chen shouted, the attackers got scared and ran away quickly.
“Feeling better?” Feng Nianmei came to visit her son with some food.
“Mom, I told you, don’t worry about me. See, I’m fine!” Zhan Ze said.
“From now on, have two people around you.”
“This is Immortal City. If it’s this dangerous here, where else is safe?”
“I’ve had his family reprimand him. Dongfang Tang won’t dare to do it again.”
“I don’t think they have the nerve.”
“I brought you some of your favorite foods,” Feng Nianmei said.
“Oh, it smells so good.”
“Your favorite Beggar’s Chicken.”
“I knew Mom loves me the most.”
“Yeah, eat slowly.”
“Leave the other one. I’ll give it to Qing’er later.”
“Alright, you can give it to whoever you want.”
“Go home, I’m fine.”
In her room, Shizi finally found a bottle of medicine.
“How long has this been here? Can we still use it?” Qing’er asked.
“For external use – it won’t kill him, I know it used to work well, especially for bruises.”
Upon hearing this, Yu Qing took the medicine, treating it like a precious treasure, and kept it in her bosom. She didn’t bring any medicine with her to Immortal City; if she were in Demon Palace, she could have found a couple of bottles. She exited her room, full of excitement.
Shizi said, “You want me to accompany you?”
“No need, I’ll come back as soon as I deliver the medicine.”
“Haha, don’t let others trick you and drag you straight into their room.”
“You naughty girl, can’t you keep your mouth shut?” She replied as she walked towards the entrance of the courtyard.
Zhan Ze, with a Beggar’s Chicken in his hand, was heading over to Jingyue Pavilion. He had it wrapped in several bags fearing it would get cold.
Suddenly a figure darted out from Jingyue Pavilion – it was Qing’er.
The two were quite far apart. Zhan Ze was preparing to call out to her, but she didn’t hear him and was walking very fast in the opposite direction.
Zhan Ze quickly followed her. Yu Qing was moving so quickly she disappeared into Peach Blossom Forest. Zhan Ze, quite surprised, attempted to catch up, wondering what the happy girl was planning to do.
After passing the Peach Blossom Forest, she was suddenly out in the open. ‘Where is this wretched girl off to?’ He wondered. ‘She wouldn’t be going to Pear Blossom Garden, right?’ There were only pear blossoms in that direction, but he quickly dismissed the idea of calling out to her; he wanted to see if his suspicions were correct.
As he thought, she had entered Pear Blossom Garden. Jing Si opened the door and Yu Qing immediately shouted Ye Chen’s name.
“I’m here, I’m in the room, stop screeching.”
Jing Si then shut the garden gate.
Zhan Ze rushed over, but the gate had already been shut, trapping him outside. He heard Ye Chen from inside the room: “You really dare to come here in broad daylight, aren’t you afraid Zhan Ze will see and misunderstand?”
“Misunderstand what? Hurry and open the door, I’ve brought you something.”
Zhan Ze, outside, heard their conversation. He wanted to kick the door open so badly but hesitated. He wondered if it was the right thing to do, not making any immediate moves – he just wanted to listen some more.
“If you don’t open up soon, I’ll kick the door.” Yu Qing said.
Ye Chen replied, “Hey, hey, I suggest you don’t do anything rash, I’m not dressed yet.”
“Three seconds, if you don’t open the door I’m kicking it in.” She must be applying the medicine.
Ye Chen didn’t have time to dress properly, so he rushed over to open the door, complaining: “What’s the big hurry?”
“Hehe, I guess you’re afraid someone will see. Come let me help you.”
“A man and a woman should not touch each other freely – don’t mess around.”
“Don’t worry, I’m not going to eat you. I’m here to help you apply the medicine. No one else will see, and you’re not able to do it.”
No, I’ve already applied it.”
“You can’t reach, I’ll do it. Be good, sit down, I won’t let Jing Si and Jing Qiu see.”
“You little devil.”
“I’ll just close the door already, I’m not shy, what are you shy about?”
Zhan Ze, on the other side of the door, heard all of this. He wanted to kick the door down and barge in, but he couldn’t bring himself to do it. First, she wasn’t his girlfriend; she had the freedom to like someone else. Second, what would he say if he went in? Could he bear the embarrassment? It seemed the only option left was to face the embarrassment head-on.
Suddenly, silence descended upon the scene. He sat on the stone steps, dropping the basket in his hand. They sure seemed to be closer than he had imagined. Previously, he thought he must have misunderstood something, but it seemed he hadn’t – they really were together.
Sounds continuously came from the room.
“You’re practically a grizzly bear.” Yu Qing said.
“Hey, hey, don’t touch everywhere like some lovesick girl, just apply the medicine.”
Then, a slap, “Ah…” He cried out: “Crazy woman, what are you doing!”
“Sorry, I used a little too much force.”
“I think it’s better if I do it myself.”
“I have another one for you, Shizi gave me this one, it must be effective.”
“No need, that girl definitely gave you poison.”
“Hurry up, don’t back out. Zhan Ze didn’t get this treatment when he was injured. You’re special. Be good, just listen.”
“Can you speed it up?”
“Hehe, you’re shy now. Weren’t you so cocky before?”
“Master Ze will get mad.”
“He can be angry all he wants, Zhan Ze and I are nothing.”
“Could you stop moving?”
“Be quick.”
“There’s nothing to be shy about.”
“That’s right, I’m shy, you’re not shy at all, let’s stop.”
“My mother will be back soon.”
“It’s okay, it won’t take long.”
“How do I explain this?” Ye Chen glanced over at the colorful bottle.
“Just simply say I’m your wife.” Qing’er followed up: “Hmm, here you go.”
Zhan Ze outside had been itching to kick the door down and go in. But he was conflicted – was it right to go in? If he went in, there would be no turning back, and what was he going to say once he got in? They were already so close; he turned around and walked towards the forest.
“This is more than I can bear!””
Qing’er opened the door.
Ye Chen quickly followed her, muttering, “If Zhan Ze knew, it would be horrible.”
“What’s so horrible about it?”
“You’d really love for him to misunderstand, wouldn’t you?” Ye Chen asked, “You heading back or staying for some tea before you go?”
Yu Qing washed her hands and asked, “Are you trying to chase me away?”
“No, come in, have some tea.” Ye Chen poured her a cup of tea.
