Chapter 876: Chapter 876: Immortal Volcano

“Let’s go,” Lin Shen waited for Yu Yan to teleport him to Immortal Land together.

“Don’t rush, I need to prepare first,” Yu Yan said as she took out a Spirit Base that looked like a brush.

Using the brush-like Spirit Base, Yu Yan drew a special Array on the ground, then said to Lin Shen, “Come on, the teleportation is about to start.”

Only then did Lin Shen realize that Yu Yan’s teleportation ability originated from that brush-shaped Spirit Base; she herself did not possess the ability for Spatial Transmission.

Lin Shen stepped onto the Array, and with a final stroke of the Spirit Pen in Yu Yan’s hand, the Array immediately burst into light; after a moment of spatial distortion, Lin Shen found he had left Commerce Star and arrived next to a great river that surged downstream like a giant serpent.

“Where is this?” Lin Shen asked Yu Yan.

...

“If you want to know the exact location of Immortal Land, that’s a separate price, you’ll have to pay extra,” Yu Yan said.

Lin Shen shook his head; he only needed to use Immortal Land once, so knowing the exact location was pointless.

He was wary of Yu Yan, knowing that with his current strength, it wouldn’t be easy for an Immortal to kill him, and he was also prepared with means of escape. He wasn’t too afraid.

“Let’s go,” Yu Yan said as she followed the riverbank upstream.

“Why not teleport directly there?” Lin Shen asked as he walked alongside Yu Yan.

“How can you lack such common sense? Immortal Land affects the Laws of order. If we teleport directly there, it’s very likely to go wrong. Who knows where you’d end up, perhaps directly in the mouth of an Immortal Creature, dying without knowing how,” Yu Yan explained as they walked.

Yu Yan’s tone wasn’t particularly pleasant, but Lin Shen didn’t take it personally, and just followed her upstream.

It seemed she also realized her temper wasn’t the best; after walking for a while and seeing that Lin Shen remained silent, she spoke again: “This planet has a no-fly restriction; we can’t fly. We should move as fast as possible to reach Immortal Land sooner.”

“Alright,” Lin Shen nodded and continued on with Yu Yan.

This planet seemed to have never been developed, completely void of human traces, just like Yu Yan had claimed, her exclusive discovery.

To accommodate him, Yu Yan slowed her pace slightly, though fortunately, Lin Shen wasn’t that slow either, and it didn’t take long for them to reach the Immortal Land Yu Yan mentioned.

“Do you see that island in the center of the lake?” Yu Yan pointed towards a lake that resembled an ocean.

Lin Shen focused his gaze and saw a small black dot in the distance on the lake, which he guessed was the island Yu Yan referred to.

“Is that Immortal Land?” Lin Shen asked thoughtfully.

“Indeed, that is Immortal Land. There’s an Immortal Creature in this lake, and there’s not much I can do about it, so when we swim over, you must stick close to me. If it comes out, I will ensure your safety,” Yu Yan said as she prepared to enter the lake.

“Hold on,” Lin Shen stopped her.

“What is it?” Yu Yan asked, frowning.

“I’m not very good at swimming,” Lin Shen admitted. He had always meant to learn to swim, but he kept forgetting.

Yu Yan frowned even more deeply: “We can’t fly here; we can only swim across.”

“Don’t you have any pets that can swim?” Lin Shen asked.

“No, and it wouldn’t matter if I did. Putting a pet in the water would be like feeding the Immortal Creature,” Yu Yan thought for a moment before saying, “Alright, I’ll carry you as we swim.”

“No need, I’ll manage on my own,” Lin Shen shook his head.

“This place is too dangerous for carelessness. Since you can’t swim, the only option is for me to carry you,” Yu Yan insisted firmly.

“Although I can’t swim, I can tread water. I can run across the surface of the water, so don’t worry about me. As long as you don’t swim too fast, I can keep up,” Lin Shen did not want to enter the water. He wasn’t much of a swimmer himself, and with an Immortal Creature below, he wasn’t keen on entrusting his life to someone else.

“Treading water?” Yu Yan thought Lin Shen was a bit out of his mind. If it were possible to tread water and cross, why would she need to swim?

However, Yu Yan felt it was pointless to argue with Lin Shen. He would find out for himself soon enough.

Once he fell into the water, she would carry him to Lake Heart Island.

“You go ahead, I’ll follow,” Lin Shen said to Yu Yan.

Yu Yan said nothing more and dove into the lake. Though she was tall, her body was well-proportioned and didn’t seem clumsy. Ignoring her height, her figure and curves were top-notch.

Yu Yan swam through the lake like a mermaid, her graceful form merging with the water, turning what Lin Shen considered uncomfortable currents into a boosting force for Yu Yan.

Yu Yan didn’t dare to swim too fast, just covering a short distance before turning her head to check if Lin Shen had fallen into the water so she could return and bring him to Lake Heart Island.

But to her surprise, upon looking back, she saw Lin Shen indeed treading on the lake water as if he were an ethereal Immortal.

Puzzled, Yu Yan wondered what trick Lin Shen used to walk upon the water’s surface.

“Lin Shen, who could be compared to Di Esi, indeed has something extraordinary about him,” Yu Yan stopped dwelling on the question and swam forward.

Her speed was quick, but it was clearly restrained; otherwise, with an Immortal’s power and speed, reaching Lake Heart Island would be a matter of blinking.

Lin Shen, treading water, walked beside Yu Yan, and they both swiftly neared Lake Heart Island.

The Immortal Creature Yu Yan spoke of didn’t appear, and soon enough, they arrived at the island. Lin Shen waited for Yu Yan to climb ashore before he set foot on the island himself, observing his surroundings.

It was a volcanic island they were on, the entire landmass being a volcano, with other parts likely formed by the accumulation of volcanic rocks from eruptions.

From a distance, Lin Shen saw intense power fluctuations emitting a strange purple light at the mouth of the volcano.

“If everything is fine, let’s settle the account,” Yu Yan extended her hand.

“We’re not on Commerce Star. How can I transfer money to you?” Lin Shen asked, puzzled.

Yu Yan thought about it and conceded, “Then you can transfer it to me after you return to Commerce Star.”

“Don’t worry, you won’t miss a single cent,” Lin Shen said and headed towards the volcano’s crater.

“I have advice for you; if you’re considering undergoing Nirvana here, you’d better give up that thought,” Yu Yan suddenly interjected.

“Why?” Lin Shen turned back and asked.

“The Immortal power here is too strong. Undergoing Nirvana here would most likely turn you into something non-human,” Yu Yan warned.

“I like it strong,” Lin Shen smiled and climbed towards the volcano.
