Summoned with an SSS-Rank Portal Skill-Chapter 334: William already has Enemies
To his surprise, no one came to talk with him that day. It was weird. He expected it to happen during the first day, but it didn’t.
The worse part was that William had no idea who the other spy from the cult was. It could be anyone.
Anyway, the principal came to talk to him in the following day about the classes. Apparently, he had talked with the other teachers, the rest of the school board, and managed to get all the first-year students for William.
"They are all yours now," the principal said, "in the end that you mean you’ll have a few extra classes, but I’ll pay you extra for those."
William wasn’t there for the money, but he liked it being paid for that job. At least with it he should be able to use to pay for good food and some luxury while being there.
"Thanks," William said, "can I have the new schedule? I like to know about my working hours and what first-year classes I should go to."
"Right, right," the principal said with a light laugh, "I almost forgot about it."
He then gave William a paper with all the classes he had for the week, and for the weeks to come. All of those classes were with first year students!
At that moment, there were only two classes of first-year students. It wasn’t that many new students.
William had inquired the principal about it, and he said that they only wanted people with decent talent. Also, there were other magic academies recruiting students.
"I’ll leave you to it," the principal said, "if you need help with anything, just let me know."
The principal, a busy man, had things to do. William did too, so he didn’t say anything else, just nodded, not wanting to start another conversation with the principal.
Before anything, William cleaned his face and adjusted his clothes before leaving his room. The principal showed up even before he woke up.
Then, a breakfast in the main hall was more than welcome. There, he already saw a few students going on about their day.
Some were students that he already knew from the class he taught the previous day. One of them even came to speak with him, smiling and all.
"I’ve heard we will have more classes with you now," the student said, "this is great! I feel like you are better than the other teachers."
Now that was something people shouldn’t say aloud like that. William was afraid that his skills would piss off the other teachers, especially if his students kept saying he was better than them.
Not that he was scared of the teachers. He was confident he could win against them in a fight, that’s for sure. But he was there as a spy! So, the less eyes on him, the better.
Drawing the attention of not just the students but the teachers too was not a smart idea. William knew that very well.
"Well, thanks, I guess," he said, "I hope the rest of the students are as excited as you are."
The student said, "they are! Everyone is excited to have classes with you. Honestly, this is the first time I saw them as excited as they are. You really have the talent for being a teacher."
William just couldn’t see how he could make them like him so much after just one day. He only taught them a lesson, and now he was their role model? It didn’t make sense to him.
The student left not long after. He didn’t want to stop William from having his breakfast. They would all seen each other during the class in thirty minutes.
Not long after the student left, someone else came to talk with William. It angered him.
"Am I a fucking superstar or what?" he thought.
The person who came to speak with him was no student, but another teacher. It was a man in his thirties, with a toned body, tall, and clearly a fighter.
"Hey," he said, sitting beside William and placing his hand behind his neck, "are you the new combat teacher people are talking about?"
William wasn’t a stupid man. He could sense the aura coming from that man. He was not there for good reasons.
"Yes, that’s me. Why do you ask?" William replied, not even looking at the man. He just continued eating his breakfast.
"Well, I was just curious because everyone is saying how badass you are, but I only see a small man with only one arm. How is that badass? If you compare yourself to me, then you are just a tiny ant."
If one only saw it physically, then perhaps that was the case. The man was just really tall, having around 2 meters of height, or even more. His muscles were also huge!
But it was not because William was small or anything. It was just that the man was basically a titan.
However, did that matter? The appearance wasn’t important in the end.
William moved his head to the side to face the man, stopping his breakfast for a moment.
"Can you please take off your arm?" William said, his cold glance saying a lot.
The teacher didn’t get threatened by it. He only smiled, "why should I? I’m just doing it in a friendly way. You know, friends do this often, right?"
William wanted to beat the fuck up of that man, but he didn’t move. That was exactly what the other teacher wanted. Everyone in that hall had stopped their breakfast just to see and hear them talk.
If William made the first move to attack the teacher, or even do something that ’looked’ violent, then he would be in the wrong side. Teachers couldn’t fight in the academy grounds.
"We are not friends," William said, "and that’s why I want you to get your arm off me. I am doing this politely. I really don’t want to cripple you."
"Cripple me?" the man laughed, "Are you being serious?"
The man still didn’t move his arm.
"If you want, we can set up a fight to settle this matter," William said, "A life and death fight, what do you say? Do you want it?"
That was the first time the teacher got a little scared. William easily called him for a fight until death, and that was something only a few people had the courage to do.
He backed away, taking off his arm, and left, not saying a word.
