Summoned with an SSS-Rank Portal Skill-Chapter 250: Improved Hero’s Limit
It had been so long since William last used that skill that he didn't even realize it had changed!
The skill no longer granted him a 50% boost to his attributes — it now gave him a 250% boost! On top of that, the duration had increased too.
The change happened because his power had grown drastically since the last time he used it. His body could now handle much more, and his level was way higher, which made all the difference.
William felt the surge of power coursing through him, even greater than when he used his demonic transformation and all his body-enhancing spells combined.
Rena was shocked. She thought there was nothing else William could show her. She was wrong. William still had one last trump card up his sleeve.
Even the boss was surprised. The creature could sense the spike in William's aura — and it was scared.
"How are you doing this?" the boss said, his hoarse voice echoing across the room. "This is impossible!"
William didn't feel tired anymore. It was like he was brand new again. But he knew the effect wouldn't last forever. In fact, Hero's Limit would wear off much faster than his demonic transformation, so he had to act quickly.
He dashed toward the boss, wielding his sword, Asura. His movements were so fast that he closed the distance in seconds. The sheer agility was overwhelming.
William slashed at the creature's leg. The boss tried to counterattack with its claws, but it was useless. With swift movements, William easily dodged and reappeared behind it, striking again and again and again.
At one point, the boss, realizing its claws were useless, tried to switch tactics and cast magic. The arm on its back — the one holding the magic book — began to channel a spell aimed at William.
But William saw it. How could he not?
Without hesitation, he decided to cut that arm off before the spell could be released.
And it worked. With just a quick slash of his sword, Asura, the arm was severed clean off. William's strength was insanely high thanks to Hero's Limit, so all of his attacks were way more powerful than before.
"No!" the boss roared in rage.
The creature could feel that defeat was inevitable, and there was nothing it could do to change that.
"I told you not to talk shit, you bastard," William said.
Gripping Asura tightly, he decided it was time to end the fight. He needed to finish it as fast as possible.
He sprinted forward, jumped toward the boss, grabbed Asura with both hands, and slashed down, cutting the creature clean in half from its head down to the end of its body.
The strike was quick, powerful, and most importantly, fatal. The creature couldn't withstand it and was sliced in two, finally dying.

In total, William gained three levels after killing the boss. On top of that, he received some coins to use inside the dungeon, along with a few items he would need to identify later.
After that, William collapsed onto the ground. His abilities had worn off, and he was feeling weak. He passed out.

When William woke up, he looked around and realized he was inside a small wooden cabin. He was alone, lying on a mattress on the floor.
Through the window, he could see that it was raining outside. The sound of the rain hitting the ground and the roof brought him a strange sense of peace. William just lay there, staring out the window for a while.
Then, the cabin door opened, revealing a beautiful woman he knew very well. It was Rena. She was holding a bucket of water in her hands.
"You're awake??" she said, surprised. "That's such good news."
Right after she entered, someone else stepped inside too. It was the adventurer, his entire body wrapped in bandages. freēwēbηovel.c૦m
William was just as surprised. "You? I thought you were dead."
The adventurer gave a weak smile. "I thought I was going to die too, but I managed to survive thanks to your friend. Thank you for the help, seriously. I didn't want to die."
The way he spoke made William believe him. It seemed like he had changed, no longer acting like he would do anything just to run away.
"I'm William, and her name's Rena," William said.
The adventurer chuckled. "I already know that. You've been asleep for about three days, so I picked up a few things. My name's Burt."
"Three days?"
Each thing they said left William even more surprised.
Rena sat down and started explaining what had happened. After William passed out, she carried him and Burt through the portal, and they were teleported to this region, where she found the cabin.
During those three days, she had been taking care of both of them. Burt woke up one day after they arrived. William, on the other hand, had been unconscious for three whole days.
Using all those abilities to defeat the boss had come with a price. He spent three entire days completely unable to wake up.
At some points, Rena even got scared, worried he might not wake up at all. But what kept her going was the trust she had in William. Deep inside, she believed he would pull through.
Of course, the fact that he was still breathing helped a lot too. She knew just how strong William's healing power was, so she trusted it was just a matter of time before he woke up and returned to his full strength.
"And where exactly are we?" he asked.
Rena didn't know how to answer.
"I found this cabin right after we passed through the portal, and it was empty. I've been staying close by, only going as far as the creek to get water or into the forest to find something to eat. From what I could tell, there aren't a lot of monsters around. It's been pretty peaceful."
The floor they were on was the last one before the resting hub—the place William had been aiming for all along. He wanted to take a break from the dungeon, and to do that, they needed to reach the hub first. Leaving before that wouldn't be worth it.
Anyway, William tried to get up from the mattress. It was a bit difficult. His body was sore all over, and he could feel that his strength was barely at 50% at best. Even with his extremely fast regeneration, it would still take some time for him to fully heal.
"We can't move forward with you in that condition," Rena said when she saw how hard it was for William to stand. "It's way too dangerous."
She was right. In that condition, William couldn't even face most creatures, and even if he somehow managed to win, it would only make his recovery take even longer.
But William wanted to leave. He would feel terrible staying stuck in the same place for days.
"I just want to get out of this dungeon already," he said. "Let's keep going."
Rena insisted. "Then let's go tomorrow, okay? That way you'll be a little better."
She kept insisting, and Burt backed her up too, since he also needed some rest after fighting that boss. In other words, two people wanted to stay, and only one wanted to move forward. William had no choice but to stay.
"Fine. But tomorrow we're moving forward. Only one day, and no more than that."
Rena was fine with that. At least she managed to make him rest for a day, which was already a win.
Now that William was awake, he could finally eat, and that would help speed up his recovery. While he was unconscious, he hadn't been able to eat or drink anything!
Luckily, his body was so strong that he could survive for several days without any supplies. If he were a normal person, he would definitely be dead by now.
Anyway, now that William was standing, he decided to leave the cabin and explore the area a little more.
They were near a stream in the middle of the forest. It was raining heavily, which gave the place an interesting atmosphere.
William sat down on the ground by the edge of the stream. He stayed there, thinking for a while as he felt the raindrops hitting his body and the cold breeze brushing against him.
It was hard to tell exactly what time it was, mainly because it was so dark. The storm clouds had completely covered the sky.
Rena came over and sat beside him, bringing a jar of water for him to drink.
"I found this jar inside the cabin," she said. "I filled it with water from the stream. I think it's safe to drink. At least, I've been drinking it for the past three days and I'm fine."
William thanked her. "Thanks."
"It's nothing," she said. "Bringing you water is the least I can do."
"I wasn't thanking you for that," he said. "I mean... thank you for saving my life. If it weren't for you, I'd definitely be dead."
Rena looked a little flustered. "I'll go help Burt with the bandages. If you need anything, just call me."
She got up and went back into the cabin, leaving William alone again.
William grabbed the phone he had found and started checking the messages to see if there was anything interesting. That's when he saw they were talking about the invasion of the Demon Island.
The invasion had already started! That made William even more anxious. He wanted to leave the dungeon as soon as possible, but it seemed like everything was going wrong for him.
