This dragon was the Phantasmal Beast of Lightning! A Primordial Rank monster that existed within lightning storms and was responsible for the loud echoes of thunder that arrived after a lightning strike! It travelled across worlds using the lightning within storms, and it had only been moving through this world when it gained a sudden urge to kill Jason! The beast opened its mouth to reveal a large mass of blue lightning that was twisting and turning like a ball of electric snakes, and the power Jason could feel from that beast actually managed to make his heart skip a beat! It was insanely powerful!

The beast unleashed its attack, and Jason wasted no time as he tucked his wings in and allowed the hurricane to carry him away! Jason was pulled away from the attack, and he flew back and quickly spread his wings out again to dash towards the eye of the storm! The lightning attack slammed into the ground behind Jason, and the entire world turned bright blue as a massive region was eviscerated by the attack! An attack of this magnitude would have been enough to eradicate an entire continent on Earth! But Jason still didn’t bother turning around to see what happened! The only reason Jason had been so distracted earlier was because he wanted to take care of Gina, but now that he knew Gina was with Farlow, Jason felt like he could focus on this fight! Jason turned his attention towards the eye of the massive storm, and he saw Hesabeth still standing there with Gillian in her hands, and his eyes narrowed! The first thing Jason needed to do was to knock some fucking sense into her.

Jason was shocked when the system suddenly screamed at him! This was the first time Jason could sense any form of emotion from the system, and he could tell that something crazy must have happened to make it react like that! What the hell did the system mean by Jason shouldn’t have thought that?

The system suddenly brought up this explanation, and Jason quickly turned around when the entire sky lit up in a flaming orange hue! Millions of massive meteorites coated in fire were falling from the sky and heading straight for him! The giant dragon turned its massive head towards Jason as lightning arched through the sky again, and Jason could feel time slowing down to a crawl as the massive attacks came at him from different directions. At that moment, Jason understood why everyone in the world was so terrified of this mysterious power. So this is what it meant for the world to want you dead.

Jason unleashed a massive surge of mana into the air just before the attacks could land. A Dimensional Tear opened beneath Jason, and he quickly flew through it and vanished from this world!

On the day Hesabeth was born, there was a collective enlightenment that came upon every great mage in the Primordial Expanse. It was a sudden feeling that no one could explain, but ever since that day, any mage who laid their eyes on Hesabeth could tell that she was special, and they knew that the worst mistake they would ever make was to try to harm her. It was as though the consciousness of the world itself had descended upon all creation, and it placed a single all-encompassing fact within their hearts!

’This is the beloved child of the Primordial Expanse, and all who stand against her shall suffer my wrath.’

Even at this moment, some of the most powerful beings in the Primordial Expanse could feel Hesabeth’s wrath taking hold of the world, and they simultaneously decided that they were not going to get involved in this matter at all. Although they might be strong, they knew that there were limits to what a powerful individual could accomplish, and there was nothing you could do when the world itself wanted you dead!

Jason had never felt that feeling before because he had always had the Necromancer System to protect his mind against any external influences from magic. But at this moment, Jason was finally realising just how biased the world was towards this one woman. Every step Jason took felt like it would be his last, every breath he took felt like poison in his lungs! Everything he looked at felt like an enemy. It was as though the very world around Jason was betraying him!

SPLASH!

Jason fell into a large ocean in the middle of an aquatic world known as Terani, and he quickly jumped out and called on Ragnar! The large dragon appeared beneath Jason, and Jason got on its back before they blasted off into the distance! Jason had no idea what was going to happen now! He knew that he needed to get to Hesabeth as quickly as possible, but with all the protection around her, Jason didn’t think something like that was even possible!

BWUOOOHHHH!

A loud sound suddenly echoed from somewhere beneath, and Jason turned to look down at the ocean, only for his eyes to widen in shock when he saw a giant sea beast preparing to swallow Ragnar whole! The beast was at least ten times larger than Ragnar, and the inside of its mouth was filled with rows upon rows of razor-sharp teeth that led into a deep, dark abyss! Jason immediately activated his [Hands of Providence] and latched onto one of the beast’s teeth to pull himself forward, and Jason just managed to avoid getting swallowed whole as the beast slammed its mouth shut!

BOOM!

Jason turned around as he drew his [Death’s Mirage], and the hilt appeared in his hand before he sent his mana straight through and created a blade of pure energy that was more than a hundred meters long!

SLASH!

Jason slashed the sword across the beast’s neck with a perfect horizontal cut, and the blade of light tore through the world before blood immediately burst out from the creature as it was killed! Jason put his hand out and pulsed his mana!

"Resurrect!"

Jason waited for the beast to come out, but he was shocked when nothing happened! What the fuck was going on! Jason was sure he used enough mana!

Jason cursed as he heard the beast let out another massive roar as it began to stitch itself together once more! Jason fell into the ocean below, and he was about to quickly fly off again, but he felt a sudden pull from beneath the ocean waves as something wrapped around his ankle, and before Jason could even know what happened, Jason found himself getting dragged along by a powerful ocean current! The water in this world was a hundred times denser than the water on Earth, so when Jason was pulled by the current, he was too shocked to react at first, and that was what allowed the creature that had tied its tail around Jason’s leg to drag him down into the churning water!
