Chapter 765: Power of an Infused Mind Law

The world inside the arena changed, at least, for Crimson Inferno.

In truth, from an objective point of view, everything looked the same. In fact, Kyle's Momentum didn't even oppress the Energy. The Energy just kept moving as if nobody had activated their Momentum.

Momentum originated from someone's mind. The power, conviction, and confidence people built by emerging victorious from one instance of adversity after another created a force that changed their surroundings.

However, that was only true for raw Momentum. Unrefined Momentum.

Raw Momentum was like an explosion without a gun barrel. It had force, but it wasn't guided and simply expanded outward without guidance.

Since Momentum originated from someone's mind, it could also be guided by someone's mind, but it wasn't possible to guide it just because someone wanted to. Without a body, a person couldn't pick up an object.

Yet, when a Law was infused into one's mind, one received the ability to control and change one's Momentum.

Before Kyle had created his Complex Mind Law, his Momentum had affected the enemy's mind and also physical reality.

Now, it only affected the enemy's mind, but with a far greater effect than before.

From Crimson Inferno's point of view, Kyle's Momentum still looked like it was raw Momentum, but the power was unbelievable.

To him, it looked like the world had completely fallen to its knees in front of Kyle. It looked like he was the ruler and controller of all of existence.

An irresistible power. An unkillable foe.

From his perspective, all the Energy in the surroundings bowed to Kyle's command.

Yet, this wasn't the only effect Kyle's refined Momentum had on Crimson Inferno.

As always, Crimson Inferno felt terrified and believed that he would definitely lose this fight, but there were also some more subtle things.

Crimson Inferno didn't notice it, but he started to think differently. His personal values had slightly shifted, which affected his judgment and decision-making.

How did Kyle's Law of Meteor affect his own mind?

It filled Kyle with conviction. He knew what he wanted, and he knew what he had to do. He would give his absolute everything to achieve his goals.

Crimson Inferno's mind was affected in the opposite way. His conviction lessened. Maybe there was a way he could avoid the fight? He knew that avoiding the fight was impossible, but he still wanted there to be a way. He didn't want to fight to his death. The Law of Meteor filled Kyle with an unending desire to move forward. Even if he had to go through thousands of years of torture, as long as it got him closer to his goal, he would be willing to do it.

Meanwhile, Crimson Inferno felt like going through so many battles was not worth it anymore. Yes, he wanted to become stronger, but was getting stronger really worth risking his life over and over again? He could just retire and live a happy life.

The Law of Meteor told Kyle to break through all adversity. The hardest way was the most profitable way. If something was in his way, he had to crush it.

Crimson Inferno felt like there had to be easier ways to get to his goal. Why should he go through so much trouble to get to his goal if he could just spend a couple more resources or a bit more time to get there without all this effort?

This was the power of a Complex Mind Law, coupled with powerful Momentum.

While a Complex Mind Law could change a person into someone they had never wanted to be, it could also improve a person's mindset. Kyle considered his Complex Mind Law to be an improvement.

The Complex Mind Law changed the user's mind and personality in one way, and when used, it would affect the enemy in the opposite way.

If someone's Complex Mind Law made them angrier, the opponent would feel calmer.

If someone's Complex Mind Law made them calmer, the opponent would feel angrier.

Conviction, lack of conviction.

Freedom, suppression.

Bloodthirst, pacifism.

Apathy, empathy.

Hatred, love.

It was always the opposite.

At this moment, Kyle wanted to battle. He wanted to get past this challenge and walk forward. He was filled with conviction, ambition, desire, energy, and courage.

Crimson Inferno didn't want to battle. He wanted to avoid this challenge and take a break. He was filled with indecisiveness, contentment, apathy, lethargy, and fear.

Yet, despite all of this, one couldn't forget that Crimson Inferno was a genius from the Contrast Empire. Despite all the doubts he was feeling, his mind knew that there was no way out. He knew that he had to fight with all of his power to survive.

He had to do it. He didn't want to do it, but he had to. His heart wasn't in it, but he would still give his best.

As Kyle's hammer gathered a brutal amount of Energy, Crimson Inferno's body changed.

Crimson Inferno's body started to turn a crimson red. His skin started to shine with a metallic sheen. His muscles grew to twice their size and became unreasonably hard.

At the same time, a purple flame appeared all over Crimson Inferno's body. The fire burned viciously and fiercely, threatening everything that dared to approach.

The world around Crimson Inferno changed.

Space around him began to warp as an immense force pulled everything closer to him.

Gravity.

Crimson Inferno's Complex Body Law included Gravity Metal, while his Complex Center Law included Gravity Fire.

Kyle could feel his body getting pulled towards Crimson Inferno.

The power of the pull rivaled the gravitational influence of a large Planet. Just by standing still, Crimson Inferno could probably pull an average Minor Crusher to his body. Even if the Minor Crusher tried to escape, they would find themselves getting closer to Crimson Inferno.

Kyle had expected his opponent to be powerful, but he was still surprised by the sheer gravitational influence Crimson Inferno could conjure just by standing there.

'I will have a significant speed disadvantage,' Kyle thought as he narrowed his eyes. 'Due to his Complex Body Law and since he used to be a Unique Primal, his body is also much stronger than mine. Getting close to him will put him at an advantage.'

Kyle also knew that Crimson Inferno's Energy could completely encompass his sword, which meant that Kyle would also be pulled right into his enemy's attack.

A realization entered Kyle's mind.

'If I hadn't improved my Momentum, I would have died with a 99% certainty.'

'In fact, if he can actually fight at his full power, there is no way I can win.'

'As expected, I can only win if he makes a mistake.'

Kyle tightly gripped his hammer.

BANG!

Then, he shot forward with all of his speed.

Crimson Inferno's eyes narrowed.

BANG!

He also charged forward, the fire around his body moving towards his weapon.
