Chapter 123: Chapter 123 – You Want Some?

"Do not make any loud movements! You’re lucky that you didn’t wake it, idiot!" Theodor said.

"Is that an Ore Fiend?" Kyle quietly asked.

"Yes!" Theodor shouted. "It hasn’t awakened its consciousness yet, but it could wake up any moment!"

"What’s it made of?" Kyle asked.

"Ore."

"No shit, Sherlock."

"My name is not Sherlock!"

"It’s a phrase! I wanted to know what kind of ore it’s made of!"

"Can you shut up?!"

Kyle just snorted.

That’s when he realized what he had just done.

’No! Fucking Theodor infected me with his horse virus! Dude keeps snorting so much that I am now snorting!’

’I don’t wanna become like Theodor!’

Kyle groaned.

"I said, shut up!" Theodor shouted.

Kyle took a deep breath.

’This fucking guy!’

Then, Kyle released a long breath to calm down.

"What now?" Kyle whispered.

"You’re the one saying you’re not stupid. You solve this issue!" Theodor shouted.

Kyle took another deep breath.

Theodor was really good at getting under his skin.

"Can you just tell me how strong it is?" Kyle asked in a whisper.

"Early or Mid Ferocious Beast," Theodor said. "If you wake it, you’re dead."

’Why is everything an Early or Mid Ferocious Beast?’ Kyle thought with annoyance. ’Can’t I get a break?’

Next, he looked at the walls.

’Guess I have to dig around it and hope it doesn’t wake up.’

Kyle slowly walked back and shoved the debris that had accumulated in the tunnel back to the Ore Fiend.

He piled it up and used his Liquifier to recreate the wall.

Everything went well until Kyle was about to cover its face.

For a moment, Kyle looked at the face.

And the eyes of the face looked back.

It was awake!

"Your Liquifier woke it! It felt the Ether!" Theodor shouted.

Kyle just looked at the face for several seconds.

The Ore Fiend didn’t move.

"Sorry for disturbing you," Kyle said.

"What are you doing?!" Theodor shouted.

"I will just put this back, okay?" Kyle asked as he slowly and gently moved the stones over the Ore Fiend’s face. freёwebnoѵel.com

The Ore Fiend was covered again, and Kyle took several steps back, his heart racing.

Nothing happened for several seconds.

"Well, that went well," he said.

Then, the wall in front of Kyle crumbled as a long arm stretched out.

The hairs on Kyle’s neck stood up as the Ore Fiend stepped out of the wall.

Its big face kept looking at Kyle, who didn’t dare to move.

The two of them just looked at each other.

Next, the Ore Fiend’s cumbersome body started to transform.

Its limbs became longer, and its torso became thinner.

This continued for several seconds until...

A man of ore stood in front of Kyle.

The man of ore just looked at Kyle.

"Hello," Kyle said, waving at the Ore Fiend. "Sorry for waking you. Is there anything I can help you with?"

The Ore Fiend didn’t answer.

Kyle slowly took a step back and picked up a piece of Earth Stone.

"Here, want some?" he asked.

The Ore Fiend just looked at Kyle.

"It’s not poisoned. Look!"

Then, Kyle took a bite off the Earth Stone before holding the remainder out for the Ore Fiend.

The Ore Fiend slowly turned to look at the piece of Earth Stone.

Its arm awkwardly moved to the stone, and its fingers awkwardly closed around the stone.

Kyle grabbed another piece of Earth Stone and slowly took a bite from it.

The Ore Fiend watched.

Then, it moved its own Earth Stone into its mouth.

It slowly chewed the Earth Stone before swallowing it.

It looked back at Kyle.

"Was it good?" Kyle asked nervously.

The Ore Fiend just silently looked at Kyle.

"You want more?" Kyle asked, walking over to his pile of Earth Stone.

He retrieved another one and handed it to the Ore Fiend.

The Ore Fiend took the Earth Stone with agile fingers and threw it into its mouth.

’This thing learns fast!’ Kyle thought when he saw how well the Ore Fiend was controlling its body already.

After consuming the Earth Stone, the Ore Fiend looked at the pile of Earth Stone.

It walked over to the pile and took another stone.

Kyle watched as the Ore Fiend rapidly ate through his entire pile of Earth Stone.

’And there goes my payment for the caravan,’ Kyle thought.

’I would prefer if it didn’t eat that, but what am I supposed to do? I’m not going to tell this guy no!’

When it was finished consuming all the Earth Stone, it looked at Kyle again.

"I don’t have more," Kyle said.

Then, he pointed at the wall. "There should be more here. Look!"

Kyle grabbed his hammer and rubbed the pick against the wall.

He didn’t want to make any loud noises.

The Ore Fiend slowly walked closer and looked at what Kyle was doing.

After some seconds, Kyle unearthed a small piece of Earth Stone and showed it to the Ore Fiend.

’Wait,’ Kyle thought. ’Ore Fiends are essentially vegetarian and act according to what they see.’

’There might be an opportunity here.’

Kyle broke the Earth Stone into two pieces.

He put one of them in his bag while he handed the other one to the Ore Fiend.

The Ore Fiend consumed the Earth Stone before looking at Kyle’s sack.

Kyle took out his piece and ate it himself.

The Ore Fiend just kept watching.

"If you want some, you should start digging! There’s food in these walls!" Kyle said with a nervous smile.

Kyle hammered the wall with more power before using his pick to retrieve another small piece of Earth Stone.

He halved the stone again and handed one half to the Ore Fiend.

This continued for three entire minutes.

Eventually, Kyle unearthed an Ether Pebble.

When he saw the Ether Pebble, he didn’t know what to do.

Ether Pebbles technically weren’t ore.

They were just solid Ether.

This meant Kyle couldn’t just break it.

If its shell broke, its Ether would disperse.

"You want this?" Kyle asked, holding the Ether Pebble to the Ore Fiend.
