Chapter 647: Shady street!

5th Zone, City-A

The black flying cars were moving towards the destination. For a couple of hundred metres, the black flying cars followed one another in mid-air.

A few minutes later,

Instead of following one after another, the black flying cars changed their direction all of a sudden.

The five flying cars took a turn and entered a different street. They got separated at that moment.

Jeremy Night was surprised. He thought something had happened right then.

He looked at Leader Norman, but he didn’t say anything. He then looked through the window.

Then he understood something. His eyes caught the flashing of car lights behind him. He recalled the spies that had stalked him that day. They were still doing it now.

If they were to follow them to their mission location, then their mission would be compromised. Then the criminals would escape as well.

Then they couldn’t do the mission another day either, because the criminals would be alerted. He saw that Leader Norman was silent at this moment.

As if he was used to such situations, he didn’t even react at all.

A few minutes later,

He saw that cars were still following their car. He understood that it was necessary for them to cut the trail.

Leader Norman noticed the cars as well. He didn’t say anything.

As time went by, the cars that were chasing them stopped. They were able to ditch them successfully.

A few minutes later,

Jeremy sighed inwardly. It took them 30 minutes to ditch them. Then the cars stopped one after another near the shady street.

The shady street was their mission location. At this midnight hour, the streets were empty. Not a single person was seen.

The reason it was called Shady Street was because late-night gambling events happened at the shops located on both sides of the street.

The five cars stopped at different corners. But none of them stepped outside. They turned off the car lights so as not to alert others.

Only the street lamps were shedding light on the street. Jeremy Night was observing the place. He understood that the mission had started.

Everyone was in mission mode. He then looked at Leader Norman. Leader Norman was looking at the shop buildings on both sides.

His eyes flickered. He and the others waited for 10 minutes to check whether there was any movement on the street.

Yet not a single person could be seen walking on the street. Leader Norman then turned towards Jeremy Night.

"It’s time for you to act," Norman said.

Hearing that, Jeremy Night nodded his head.

"You have to observe certain things. Look for tattoos on their body. Then listen to their conversation. I’m sure you will find some shady things," Leader Norman said in a solemn tone.

According to the mission description, they had to capture the Skull Gang members with skull tattoos on their forearms.

But he didn’t specifically mention that to Jeremy Night. He wanted to check what Jeremy Night was going to do. It was a kind of test for him.

Jeremy Night frowned. He found that information was lacking. But he saw that Leader Norman was not willing to share further information.

Creak!

Jeremy opened the door and stepped outside. At the same time, the other team members saw Jeremy Night.

Including the Beast Tamer, Lily. She was the one who gave the idea to the Leader. If not for her, the Leader wouldn’t have selected Jeremy Night.

She knew that not many liked or appreciated the newcomer. She hoped that he would be safe because there was a risk of a direct threat to the newcomer as well.

The other Tier-5 Beast Tamer watched Jeremy Night as well. He didn’t know what Leader Norman was thinking. His name was Max.

He was afraid that Head Harold Red could get angry. They were dragging this kid along without Head Harold Red’s permission. Max was unsure about how the mission would unfold.

He was also looking forward to the kid’s actions. The other Beast Tamers’ gazes were set on the kid. It was up to the kid whether they were going to have a successful mission or not.

They were nervous for the kid as well. Crime-fighting missions are difficult. Unless one was absolutely sure about the preparation, no one dared to take the mission.

While everyone was watching, Jeremy Night started going towards the first shop. The first stop was a two-story building.

As he got close to the building, he could hear noise coming from inside. The noise was low. If not for his senses, he wouldn’t have found it.

He approached the main gate. No one was there to stop him, so he opened the gate and walked up to the door.

Just as he was about to knock on the door, his senses picked up something. He stopped his actions. Then he turned around and went to the side of the building.

The noise had started increasing. He came to the side of the building and stood in front of one particular spot.

It was a door leading to the underground basement. His eyes glinted with understanding. He was wondering where the sound was coming from.

It was coming from underground. He tried to cool down his nerves. Anything could happen next. So he took a deep breath before opening the door.

Creak!

The next second, he saw a party scene with loud music turned on. There were two burly guards standing at the door.

Their gazes fell on him.

"Invitation," one of them said while extending his hand.

"It’s my first time here," Jeremy replied in a confident tone.

The guard withdrew his hand. He then turned towards the other guard. Both of them exchanged looks because they could see the young man was just a Tier-2 Beast Tamer.

Whereas they were Tier-4 Beast Tamers. They didn’t think the young man had come here to attack them. They thought spoiled rich kids might have leaked the news.

Now a Tier-2 young man had come to their den.
