STRIKER: Independent Beast Tamer-Chapter 110: Collecting herbs!
Jeremy decides to buy the basic-grade knife for emergency use. The staff member Lexi then calculated the amount. He paid the bill amount before putting the item into his storage ring.
Then he walked out of the shop. The basic purchase was done. He decided to return to the university. He booked an air cab.
It didn’t take long for the flying car to arrive. He hopped inside and told the driver the destination.
About 30 minutes later,
Jeremy was in his room, looking at his shopping items. The next thing he had to do was to find information about the berry fruit.
If he could learn the growing environment of it, it would help him find the fruits. Then he started to access some information online.
About two hours later,
He read not only about the berry fruit but also some other fruits and herbs. During his trip in the wilderness, he might come across some useful herbs and plants. He didn’t want to miss it.
What he learned were the basics about a few popular plants. If he needed to learn fully, then he might have to spend a few more days on this.
Obviously, he didn’t have time. Maybe next time, he would enrich his knowledge before going. Jeremy knew that the outside wilderness was not fully explored. It was something done by the Human Alliance.
There were new discoveries made every day, which he had seen many times on the news. Most of them were discovered by the Human Alliance Beast Tamers.
That’s why everyone wanted to join the Human Alliance after graduation. Jeremy’s aim was to explore the wilderness and expand the human cities.
He thought that one day he would do it.
Time passed,
He fell asleep at night.
...
The following day,
After getting ready, Jeremy walked out of the building at 7 in the morning. He sent a message to Instructor Jacob, Betsy, and Daniel.
He was dressed in a basic combat suit with gloves on his hands and boots as well. He also had the necessary items inside the storage ring.
Shortly afterward,
Jeremy walked out of the campus and came close to the street. Before coming here, he had booked an air cab.
A flying car arrived a few minutes later.
Jeremy then entered it. He told the driver to drop him at the city gate. The driver understood upon seeing the combat uniform.
He didn’t speak much.
The flying car coursed through the sky. Jeremy was viewing the passing scene with a calm mind. He knew that peace here did not exist outside.
An unknown excitement gripped his heart.
About 10 minutes later,
The driver dropped him at the city gate. He paid the fare before striding towards the gate. While walking, he saw others around him.
They were mercenary groups from the Beast Taming Association. There were also teams from the Beast Taming Families.
Jeremy’s eyes flickered with surprise. The atmosphere here was totally different. He felt like he was walking among experienced Beast Tamers.
But he wasn’t overwhelmed. He had participated in the invasion war and saw the horrors of Tier-4 and Tier-5. So these experienced veterans didn’t scare him.
When he reached the gate, the guards asked him for the Beast Taming License or University ID.
He showed them his University ID.
Upon seeing that, they allowed him to leave. He then followed others to the wilderness. In the next second, he felt the wild wind brushing against his face.
Jeremy then saw mercenary teams recruiting people who were alone. Some even tried to recruit him. But Jeremy rejected them all.
Swoosh!
He then disappeared to the left. Seeing that others had no chances, they left as well.
Jeremy wanted to run far away from those people.
30 minutes later,
Jeremy arrived at the edges of the wilderness. He was separated from other people. But he couldn’t be happier. He didn’t want to disclose his identity.
If he did, it might bring him some trouble.
He then stepped to take a rest under the shadow of a giant tree. He sat down and took out his device and activated it.
He stood up and started checking the surroundings.
The digital device was mapping every piece of land that came under the radar.
Growls!
Jeremy heard a growl from the distance. He took his katana blade out. He then started moving toward the source.
A few minutes later,
He arrived there and saw a corrupted boar beast injured on the ground. It was letting out sounds because of the pain.
Jeremy’s expression changed drastically. He was sure that there were no humans around. So the beast’s injuries were from other rival beasts.
The boar lost its breath shortly afterward.
Jeremy didn’t expect to find windfall here. He stored the beast’s corpse in his ring and started observing the place.

Apart from the berry fruit, he came across some other important herbs. He simply stored them inside the storage ring.
Then he decided to leave before any beasts guarding the place showed up.
Not long after he left, a corrupted beast appeared. It smelled like the scent of some treasure plants. The snake became enraged and started to follow the scent left behind by the intruder.
Boom!
Jeremy, who had walked not far from the site, immediately felt a sense of crisis, as if someone were attacking him from behind.
Cut!
Jeremy swung the sword. The katana blade made contact with the snake beast’s head.
Pfff!
The blade went inside the snake’s head before coming out. Blood splattered on the ground. The snake beast’s brain was destroyed.
All of this happened within seconds.
Jeremy picked up the Tier-2 beast body and stored it inside the storage ring. He thought it was fortunate that it was a Tier-2 beast.
If it had been a Tier-3 beast, he would have been caught off guard.
Jeremy then walked away from the place and continued to look for the berry fruits. He decided to go around dense vegetation. He thought that if he could find any small stream of running water, it would be good.
