Strange Worlds-Chapter 277: Second Day (7)
Chapter 277: Second Day (7)
The referee intervened and blocked the last blow. He looked at the direction where the wind blades were about to land and felt his sweat drop.
’Hmm? Wrong.’
It was heading to the place beside Vance’s neck.
No matter what, Evan didn’t have any hobby to kill people and would restrain his magic appropriately to make sure that he would defeat his opponent but would not kill the other party. In any case, this was not a life and death’s battle.
"Evan White win this battle."
Evan sighed deeply and looked at Vance in front of him. This was the first time he truly fought against someone with crystal eyes. After all, there were not many people who did this fusion in the White Family and succeeded. Even if they did, they have long been called by the White Family Patriarch to work and help with the ghost’s matter.
There were too many ghosts appearing in Wansu City and only their crystal eyes were able to see the ghost’s appearance to a certain degree.
These people didn’t have time to fight with Evan.
The only person who might have time was his uncle, the White Family Patriarch. But Evan didn’t feel good about asking him to help him in this matter.
So Evan had never fought against people with crystal eyes before.
He felt that the crystal eyes were really cheating.
No matter where he attacked, Vance would be able to see it and then block it using the same methods. Because the two of them have wind elements, it was not surprising for Vance to block it using the same magic spell.
This made the two of them fall into a stalemate.
If Vance had other elements, he might be able to do this to other people and made them infuriated through copying their own magic spells.
"It’s a good fight." Evan grinned as he watched Vance sit up. The other party’s legs were still embedded on the crystal and Evan raised his hand to undo the magic. Since crystal magic belonged to the White Family’s magic, not many people could undo this magic. "Thank you for the battle."
Vance frowned and looked at Evan’s smiling face. He felt annoyed when he saw Evan’s appearance. "Don’t think that you have won against me. The next time, I’ll win!"
"Then I’m waiting for our next spar." Evan was still smiling.
Looking at Evan’s appearance, Vance’s expression didn’t get any better. He felt frustrated and then the medical people helped to lift him up. His injuries needed to be treated.
"You may go and rest now, Student Evan."
Evan nodded at the referee and then walked towards his friends. He smiled happily. "I also won the battle."
"The three of us win." Dean nodded and then said, "You should recover your mana first."
"You too."
They all nodded and then drank the mana potion before meditating. The mana potion could help them to recover their mana first and then their meditation could help them to calm their minds.
"It’s a good fight." Yun smiled and silently used her light element to make the three of them more comfortable. Even if she couldn’t help in fighting, but her light element could help these boys to calm themselves.
"How about the other battle?"
"Do you want to watch Vincent Green’s battle against Dylan Black?" Silas asked as he pointed to block D. That was the last battle for this morning before they have four hours break for the final for each of the block battles. The battle between the winner of each block would be tomorrow since it was quite time consuming to fight continuously.
The children haven’t fought on the battlefield where they had to fight even if their condition was not at the best. Besides, in this kind of competition, they didn’t really want to harm the children and it would be better for them to fight when they were at their best condition.
Because of this, the children were given a rest period.
"Hmm?" Aya turned her head to look at the side.
Dylan Black was Silas’s friend or perhaps just an acquaintances from the Black Family. On the other hand, Vincent Green was Lisa’s student.
Truth to be told, the two of them were already teenagers and had more mana compared to the other children.
Looking in their direction, Aya’s eyes narrowed.
She saw Dylan use the shadow magic and restrained Vincent. Even with the blessing of the Green Family that allowed their family members to have more mana than ordinary people, it didn’t help much. The two of them fought back and forth and then Dylan won with crushing advantage.
’He barely consumes mana.’
Aya’s eyes narrowed.
The current Dylan was already the peak of rank 3 or could even reach rank 4 with his mana amount alone. The only question was whether he had learned any rank 4 magic spell.
During the battle, Aya saw Dylan use his shadow magic very agilely and crushed his opponent.
Everything looked so effortless.
Even though the competition had reached this point, it could be seen that it was still nothing much for Dylan.
While Aya had no problem beating Dylan up, she didn’t want to bully others. There were also some other real geniuses who were not interested in the battle and only watched from the sidelines even if they were qualified.
After all, not everyone wanted to stand in the limelight.
"He’s going to be a difficult opponent for these children later," Silas said quietly. He could see that Dylan was very ruthless. For the people in the branch family, the missions they took were often the difficult and low paying ones. In this way, when they encountered danger, they would have to do everything they could to protect their lives.
"Yes," Aya muttered in a low voice.
But being able to meet such an opponent is also a blessing.
"Hmm?" Aya sensed something and turned to the back. Her eyes widened in surprise. "Ghosts Master?"
"Kyaaaa!"
