Strange Worlds-Chapter 243: Magic Association (2)
Chapter 243: Magic Association (2)
Aya was not sure.
She looked at her father and then asked, "Father, is the magic association a good place?"
"It’s just a branch association focused on business." the White Family Patriarch shook his head. "The missions are not bad but if possible, it’s better to focus on the mission that Wansu City needs."
Aya nodded blankly.
Alright, she was thinking too much.
The existence of this magic association didn’t seem to have much effect on them but only to give more missions for others.
There were no protection rules like in her previous era.
Thinking about this, Aya realized that the Central Magic City should be too lazy to be involved in the regional war between the three cities. Rather than intervening, it would be better for them not to do anything.
"I see, Father."
Seeing his daughter, the White Family Patriarch nodded and had no plan to talk with her again. This time, he was only reminding her about the magic association.
"One more thing, the mission system in the magic association is a bit different. You can take missions from there directly and even change your team members. There’s no fixed team members like the mission from the mission hall."
Aya nodded. ƒгeeweɓn૦vel.com
She knew about this.
In her previous life, the relationship with the Central Magic City was better and there were many missions that the Central Magic City issued to them through this magic association.Along with teh implication of what this magic association meant, there were many people who were reassured with their presence in the city.
But in this current era, the relationship with the Central Magic City was not very good.
Aya doubted that there would be people who would take the mission from there.
’I should check it out later after I have recovered.’
"Also, Father, is there any time related magic in the White Family?" Aya asked.
She did find some information about formation, albeit very lacking, in the White Family. Thankfully, she already had the foundation in formation and space magic before or she would not be able to complete the teleportation formation even after decades.
"Time?" the White Family Patriarch frowned when he heard this.
Magic has many forms.
The most common ones were naturally the elemental magic because many people had these. Aside from these were the few closely related professions.
But aside from them, there were also some special magics.
Space and time magic could be considered to be special magic because there were not many people who could use it. The most common space related magic was the teleportation array or teleportation formation that was used in Central Magic City.
As for time...
There didn’t seem to be any record of any.
"No." the White Family Patriarch shook his head.
Aya nodded, not surprised. "Thank you, Father."
After that, the White Family Patriarch left and Aya didn’t stop her father. On the other hand, she was thinking about what she was going to do next.
Dealing with that ghost realm wouldn’t be easy and also very draining of mana. If she stayed in that place for a long period of time, Aya was sure that she would be killed by these ghosts first without being able to do anything. The mana recovery was slow and Aya kept on being surrounded by the ghosts.
But she also couldn’t just leave it be.
’In the first place, how did they find me and then appear near me so quickly?’
This was something that Aya didn’t understand. Was it because she had come there a few times and left her mana signature somewhere?
But Aya was sure that she was careful enough.
And the ghosts didn’t really use mana but use ghost’s energy, which was very different from mana. It should have been impossible for them to detect her through this.
While thinking, Aya went to the dining room and ate her breakfast before going out again.
Walking around the city, Aya finally arrived in front of the magic association building.
Saying it was a magic association made Aya feel rather embarrassed. Because the current magic association building seemed to be very poor and the dilapidated building made it unconvincing that this was a magic association from Central Magic City.
Aya stood there, not sure what to do.
"Aya, if you want to take a mission, you can enter. However, your condition didn’t seem to be suitable to take a mission, right?"
Hearing the familiar voice, Aya turned around and smiled at Silas. "Brother Silas. I’m not here to take a mission. I’m just curious about this place after my father told me."
the White Family Patriarch told Aya?
In fact, Silas was not too surprised that the White Family Patriarch would tell Aya about this. His own patriarch also told some people from the Black Family about this magic association.
But the Black Family’s attitude was to refuse coming here.
The Black Family Patriarch felt that the magic association was trying to usurp the power in the city, so they should refuse to support it.
For this matter, Silas was noncommittal.
He wanted to check the place first rather than just listened from the one sided word from the Black Family Patriarch.
"I also want to take a look," Silas said with a faint smile.
He looked at the magic association in front of him, somewhat at loss. Because Silas had already went to Central Magic City, he had seen the prosperous magic association there.
It was a bit hard to associate the current magic association building here with the one in the Central Magic City.
But then again, this was just a branch.
"Shall we come inside?" Aya asked.
"Before that, does the White Family Patriarch give you an order to not come into contact with this magic association?" Silas asked curiously.
Aya looked at Silas with some confusion. "Why should he do that?"
To be honest, Aya knew that the White Family Patriarch didn’t really like this magic association. But his attitude didn’t seem to be a complete rejection.
