Sticking to Mr.Chairman in This Life-Chapter 977: This Is...
Su Ge turned her head; Ye Mubai was still wearing just a thin black shirt.
And she was draped in his jacket.
"I have a coat in my luggage; Professor, you shouldn’t catch a cold either."
Su Ge said as she prepared to take the coat off her shoulders.
Unexpectedly, Ye Mubai’s fingers suddenly pressed down on her hand.
"Our car will be here soon; let’s take the coat off once we’re in the car."
Su Ge didn’t respond, but her eyes widened slightly, her gaze landing on Ye Mubai’s hand pressing upon hers.
Ye Mubai seemed to be taken aback as well, "Sorry."
He hastily retracted his hand, an apologetic expression on his face.
"It’s okay."
Su Ge knew he didn’t do it on purpose, but when Ye Mubai’s fingers had touched her hand, the peculiar feeling made her feel slightly strange.
Not thinking too much of it, Ye Mubai’s car, which was probably parked in the lot, quickly drove up.
Su Ge was the first to open the car door and get in while Ye Mubai watched her back, then glanced at his own fingers, his eyes deepening slightly.
The car was heated; as soon as Su Ge got in, she took off Ye Mubai’s jacket.
Once Ye Mubai got in, she handed the jacket back to him.
"You won’t... get car sick, will you?"
Ye Mubai suddenly asked.
Su Ge looked at him, slightly surprised.
Why ask that?
Did she look like someone who would get car sick?
"Because up ahead is a long stretch of mountain road, which is quite winding, and usually, girls tend to get car sick on such roads. So if you’re not sure whether you absolutely won’t get car sick, it’s best to take precautions in advance."
Hearing Ye Mubai’s explanation, Su Ge finally understood.
Twisting mountain roads can indeed make people car sick.
But she knew her body well enough.
She wasn’t prone to car sickness.
"I’m fine, Professor, no need to worry."
Su Ge gave him a reassuring smile.
Ye Mubai nodded and said nothing more.
After the car left the airport, it first went through a stretch of highway.
After exiting the highway, the car drove straight into the mountains.
As Ye Mubai said, the mountain road was rather rugged, with twisting paths that seemed to stretch endlessly.
As it was winter, the mountain scenery was quite desolate; apart from some upright cedars that were still a deep green, the mountains were bare and barren.
Su Ge watched for a while before withdrawing her gaze.
The man beside her noticed her action, "Don’t like the mountains?"
"No, just that this season, the mountains are rather desolate."
She didn’t like desolation.
She preferred vibrant, hopeful landscapes.
"Hmm." The man simply responded faintly and said no more.
Who knows how long the car drove for, but its speed gradually slowed down.
Su Ge, who had taken a nap in the car, groggily opened her eyes and looked out. Her eyes widened in surprise.
"This is..."
She looked at the lush trees and the flower vines winding around them, turning in amazement to Ye Mubai.
How long had their car been driving?
How had the mountains transformed from earlier desolation to such a scene?
Such scenery was completely out of place for this season.
"We have entered the Ye Family’s territory. The family members don’t like the desolation of winter in the mountains, so they use special nourishment to keep the flora here in their most vigorous state."
Ye Mubai coolly explained.
Su Ge, however, was taken aback, her mouth agape in astonishment.
