Sticking to Mr.Chairman in This Life-Chapter 962: Your Excellency
The city where the Royal Family is situated is also the best geographical location in the entire country A. There are no extremely cold or hot seasons, making it feel like spring all year round.
Su Ge changed into relatively light clothing right after getting off the plane, while Ye Mubai conveniently just took off his coat. The black shirt underneath was his usual attire.
The vehicle headed straight into the luxurious palace of country A.
The palace was truly enormous, and after entering the palace, the car continued to drive for another ten minutes or so before stopping.
Su Ge was somewhat speechless as she took in the scene before her.
It was as if she had accidentally wandered into a fairyland, or perhaps a secret garden.
Outside the Empress’s reception room, blossoms flourished with butterflies and bees dancing around. Since it was morning, dew still hung on the brightly colored flowers, sparkling with vibrant life under the morning sun, beautiful beyond words.
It seems... do all women love flowers?
Even the Empress is no exception.
After all, the Empress still has the heart of a young girl.
Most of these flowers were precious; as Su Ge looked around, she found that among all the varieties, perhaps the roses were the most common.
However, the Empress seemed particularly fond of roses; in the whole garden, the bright red roses surprisingly dominated the majority.
Amidst these rare flowers, they emitted an impressive fragrance, standing out without losing in comparison.
The roses in the Chu Family’s Rose Garden had all wilted, although some petals were preserved. Yet, seeing roses blooming so well made Su Ge feel a sense of indescribable excitement.
If only Yihan could see all this, that would be wonderful.
He would definitely love it.
These roses look just as good as the ones we have at home.
"Do you like flowers?" 𝐟𝕣𝕖𝐞𝐰𝕖𝚋𝐧𝗼𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝗰𝐨𝐦
Su Ge did not even notice that, after seeing these flowers, she unwittingly stopped in her tracks.
Ye Mubai stood silently beside her for a moment before speaking gently.
"Ah?" Su Ge snapped back to reality, glanced at Ye Mubai, then, somewhat embarrassingly, said, "No, it’s just that suddenly seeing so many flowers, I’m a bit dazzled."
"Hmm." The man responded faintly, his eyes deepening slightly.
"Let’s go."
Su Ge felt too embarrassed to linger any longer and stepped toward the reception room.
Ye Mubai walked alongside her; after a few steps, Su Ge voluntarily slowed down, intending to walk behind him.
To her surprise, as soon as she slowed down, Ye Mubai’s steps also slowed in tandem. She gave him a slightly astonished glance, but the man’s demeanor remained calm. Su Ge roughly understood his intention and quickened her pace slightly, and the two walked side by side into the reception room.
The Empress of country A was already nearing seventy years old. It was said that she had one son and three daughters. However, the Empress greatly valued the family’s privacy, and her descendants rarely appeared before the media, though it was said they were all married and had children.
Upon entering the reception room, the Empress was already waiting.
Wearing an elegant light blue embroidered suit dress, with her silver-white hair all coiled at the back of her head, the Empress had delicately applied makeup. Despite being almost seventy, she did not appear overly aged; at least her charm remained. In her younger days, she must have been an extraordinary beauty.
"Your Excellency."
The two halted in front of the Empress, bowing as they greeted her together.
"No need to stand on ceremony, please, sit."
The Empress raised her hand gracefully, and only then did the two lift their heads.
Looking closely at the Empress, Su Ge paused slightly.
The Empress’s features, there seemed to be something strangely familiar about them.
Had she seen the Empress somewhere before?
On television? In the newspapers?
It seemed not...
