Chapter 87: Chapter 88 You Will Have Good Luck 4

"Really no ulterior motive?" Huo Shaohua squinted, clearly not believing her words.

Before, at the courtyard, she kept persuading him to help Liu Dagang.

After getting in the car, did she just give up after one comment?

That’s highly unlikely.

She’s the type who would go to any lengths for Huatan Village.

Thus, it’s apparent that she’s a very persistent and stubborn person.

Once she sets her mind on something, she won’t easily give up.

"To say I have no ulterior motive would be a lie." Tian Xingyun giggled foolishly.

"You!" Huo Shaohua was peeved, as expected!

"My motive is to make sure my husband eats well, sleeps well, and earns lots of money!"

"..."

"So that during the divorce, you’ll give me more money. That’s my motive." Tian Xingyun approached him with a plate of fruit. fɾeewebnoveℓ.co๓

"We’ve only been married for a few days, and you’re already thinking about divorce." Huo Shaohua curled his lips, mocking her.

"That’s still better than someone making me sign a divorce agreement on our wedding day." Tian Xingyun pouted with a smile, taking a slice of apple to eat.

Today’s apples were very fresh, sweet and juicy.

"..." Huo Shaohua said nothing, recalling that day, realizing he might have gone too far.

But she had pushed him to that point; it wasn’t his fault.

If he hadn’t done that, he and Song Yi might have broken up.

"Very fresh, I bought them personally from the market." She handed the plate to him.

"I’m full." Huo Shaohua refused, having eaten too much earlier.

He couldn’t eat any more.

"Then I’ll have it." Tian Xingyun turned away with the fruit, took a few steps, then turned back to him and said, "Husband, don’t forget to reimburse me for the groceries."

She left happily, munching on the fruit, not disturbing him any further.

Huo Shaohua took a deep breath, trying hard not to get angry.

He went upstairs to change into sportswear and headed out for a run. Today’s meal needed double the exercise to work off.

Tian Ernan hadn’t gone gambling in recent days but had been rummaging through the house looking for something.

"What are you doing!" his sister-in-law snapped, her recently bought clothes thrown on the floor.

She picked up the clothes and kicked Tian Ernan, who was crouched under the cabinet, in the butt.

"Can you be more gentle!" Tian Ernan winced, lifting his head and bumping into the cabinet, struggling to crawl out.

"You got my new clothes dirty, go wash them now!"

"Got it, I’ll wash them in a bit."

"You’ve been acting strange lately, have you gotten into trouble outside again?" His sister-in-law scrutinized the crouching Tian Ernan; he hadn’t been up to his usual mischief recently.

It was very strange, highly unusual!

Tian Ernan struggled to crawl out from under the cabinet, a grin appearing as he got fresh air: "It feels so good, I almost suffocated."

"Tell me, what are you up to?" His sister-in-law smacked him on the head.

"Nothing at all. I’m heading out for a bit." He stood up and ran out.

He vividly remembered taking some photos with his phone on the cruise earlier.

But now he had no idea where that phone was.

"Tian Ernan, don’t bother coming back!" His sister-in-law fumed, throwing the clothes on the floor.

He had just promised to wash her clothes, and now he bolted out.

What a jerk.

By the time Huo Shaohua returned from his run, it was already dark. As he walked into the living room, Tian Xingyun was watching TV.

"You’re back..." She didn’t finish her sentence before the whole house went black.

"Boom~" Thunder roared outside, lightning flashed through the floor-to-ceiling windows.

"Huo Shaohua, is it a power outage?!" Tian Xingyun stood up in fear, forgetting to put on her shoes.

"It could be. I’ll go check outside." Huo Shaohua used his phone to light the way.

"Wait for me." Tian Xingyun bit her lip in fear, trembling from the lightning outside.
