Starting with Proficiency Panel-Chapter 760: See the Truth Clearly Tomorrow (New Book Content)
"Good morning!"
Luo Rui showed a sweet smile and then raised her hand, "I bought two buns, do you want one?"
"Thanks, I've already eaten."
Luo Rui looked at Li Qing's face with a start: "Brother Qing, since when did you become so trendy, even giving yourself smokey eye makeup?"
Smokey eye makeup?
Li Qing instinctively touched his eye sockets: "Is it that bad? I didn't sleep well last night..."
"Stayed up late last night?"
Luo Rui showed a hint of an ambiguous smile: "Is it because..."
Li Qing chuckled helplessly: "What on earth are you thinking, last night... well, I was too engrossed in study, and before I knew it, it was dawn."
Li Qing looked at his phone, 9:15, there were fifteen minutes left.
Luo Rui's face wrinkled: "What a disappointment."
She thought there would be some gossip to hear. Li Qing had been with the company for half a year and, although he liked to joke with colleagues, he hadn't found a girlfriend.
While listening to Luo Rui chattering about the problems at work yesterday that led to working overtime until seven and other things, asking Li Qing to check her workstation computer now and then.
Li Qing casually agreed while recalling practicing the first step of the "Basic Meditation Technique" last night.
After getting into the elevator, clocking in at the company, Li Qing went straight to his workstation in the server room and slouched there.
Indeed, thanks to the company setting up a local server room, his workstation was moved to a small partition within the server room, a single-person space. Although the sound of the servers kept humming, the soundproofing was good, and he couldn't hear much.
After performing routine system maintenance, checking for server issues, and dealing with a few coworkers' computer glitches, he lay at his station and stared at himself in the mirror.
At first glance, he couldn't help but be startled.
The reflection showed him wearing glasses, with an alarmingly pale face, and eye sockets dark as if with black smokey makeup, looking incredibly frail.
So much so that when he had gone out to solve problems earlier, many colleagues laughed at him.
"Was it really that exhausting?"
Li Qing blinked, finally putting the mirror aside, and after replenishing himself all morning, having lunch, and resting for two hours slackly, he was able to restore his spirit.
He unfolded the paper again and, opening "Magic Origin," started reading attentively.
This book explained the basic structure of magic very clearly, and Li Qing judged that it was entirely tailored for a beginner.
Magic originated from the so-called Gods, just like Western myths and legends. Gods observed the world and transformed their insights into a book, thus creating the mysterious "Primordial Magic" book. Thereafter, humans like Adam and Eve, driven by greed, stole the magic book, and magic subsequently spread through human society.
But according to those old mage scholars of archaeology, though this legend still seems unreliable, it can serve as a piece of evidence.
This legend contains many Magic Holy Artifacts existing in the present world.
Another legend speaks of Prometheus, who, seeing humans living harshly on the Barbaric Land, felt compassion and stole fire to spread it. Consequently, upon obtaining extraordinary power, humans began to delve deeper, thus creating a flourishing era of magic that has been passed down to this day...
Li Qing read with great interest, and unknowingly, it was already six o'clock, time to finish work.
Coming back to his senses, Li Qing quickly tidied up and clocked out.
Leaving the company, he randomly found a fast-food restaurant for dinner, and then, excitedly, he returned home, set the alarm, and lay straight on the bed, sleeping away.
The "Basic Meditation Technique" clearly stated that if the spirit was excessively used, sleeping was the best way to recover.
Li Qing, who was already exhausted, fell asleep as soon as he hit the bed.
"Beep beep beep... beep beep beep..." 𝐟𝚛𝕖𝚎𝕨𝗲𝐛𝚗𝐨𝐯𝐞𝕝.𝐜𝗼𝗺
Li Qing instinctively pressed the volume button on his phone, turned off the alarm, rolled over, and slept again.
In this way again and again, until nine thirty, Li Qing groggily climbed up, washed his face in the bathroom to wake up a bit, and then lay back in bed to close his eyes for meditation, sketching lines.
Three minutes later, Li Qing opened his eyes with a strange expression, even though the distractions were much less than yesterday, they were still coming incessantly, making it hard for him to settle down.
No wonder Taoism emphasizes controlling the monkey mind. Meditation and Taoist sitting meditation have many points that connect.
Li Qing instinctively touched his lower back, he could still manage a few rounds, and promptly opened a hidden folder on his computer.
Nineteen minutes later...
Li Qing appeared calm and satisfied, lying flat in bed in a sage-like state of wanting nothing, slowly sketching lines from the meditation image in this seemingly empty yet non-empty meditation state.
As long as he completed a line, this meditation line would fully seem to settle and solidify.
If there were no obstacles, Li Qing estimated that he could only finish about thirty percent before the Gray Magic Academy started.
However, if the sketched meditation lines effectively strengthened his spirit, he would have extra energy to accelerate his sketching.
The "Basic Meditation Technique," as its name suggests, should be the simplest and most approachable entry-level meditation method at Gray Magic Academy.
The second line starting again from the origin, slowly extending outward, bit by bit, in an extremely precise manner, continuously emerging from the void...
Once the second line was sketched, and repeatedly visualized and solidified, Li Qing slowly opened his eyes then rested for a while, ensuring he felt no headache, only a sense of fogginess, making him slightly excited.
Apparently his assumption was correct, as the lines increased, his spirit would become more resilient, which was a fairly obvious process.
On the third day, Li Qing still couldn't meditate well and finally had to use his secret strike.
Seventeen minutes later...
Li Qing completely sketched two lines, making satisfactory progress.
On the fourth day, Li Qing used his secret strike once again.
Sixteen minutes later...
Swiftly entering meditation state and then sketching three lines.
On the fifth day, Li Qing very skillfully executed his secret technique.
Fifteen minutes later...
On the sixth day, fourteen minutes later...
Up until three days before the school started, the real man Li Qing had fully sketched all three hundred and sixty-five white lines from the "Basic Meditation Technique," forming a notably spherical shape identical to the pattern on the meditation image.
His hollowed cheeks, deep sunken eye sockets, and gaunt figure made him look as though a breeze could topple him over,
