Hao Ren had a discussion with Yang before he said, "Fine, then I will head out and handle them. Can you have someone prepare a carriage for me?"

Yang was surprised and asked, "Baba, why do you need a carriage?"

Hao Ren replied, "Your Ma went to cultivate, and so I have to handle these two. They are too young to tolerate any exposure to the space tunnels."

Yang nodded with a faint smile and said, "I will get it ready right away, shall I inform anyone else to accompany you?"

Hao Ren thought for a bit and said, "Well, yes, Lan is home right?"

Yang nodded and Hao Ren said, "She would be fine with managing the two with me."

Yang bowed and then he left the room. Hao Ren rocked the two children and lulled them into deeper sleep. His voice had the attribute of the heavenly voice, let alone the children, he could make everyone in the world fall asleep apart from Han Lingshi. After Yanling and Xuanshen fell asleep, and at that time, Ye Lan came over. She asked, "Big Brother, is everything okay?"

Hao Ren nodded and replied, "Yes, it is fine. Just needed someone to accompany me as we head out with the kids. I would be rather calm with you holding one of them if I needed to change their diapers."

Ye Lan smiled and said, "Yes, these two little ones have been in my care at some times. However, they are rather fussy about it."

Hao Ren smiled and just then Yang came back and said, "Baba, the carriage is ready."

The young man nodded and then while carrying the children in his arms he walked out of the room with Ye Lan behind him. Yanling had woken up and she was looking around very curiously. Hao Ren smiled and said, "Do you know who is this beside me?"

Yanling smiled and Hao Ren replied with a doting smile, "My baby is so smart, she recognizes her aunts and uncles so well."

He raised her a little and pecked her forehead, causing Yanling to giggle, and Hao Ren chuckled at her as he teased her. The little treasure of the family was loved by everyone. Just when they were walking through the palace and heading to the gate where the carriage was waiting for them, Xuanshen also woke up. The kids were curious as they were looking around with their big eyes. The maids and the guards all bowed to them, and some maids even praised how adorable the two Highnesses looked.

Thanks to Ye Lan being present they kept their excitement in check because she was the head executive of the palace now. Nothing in this place was away from her knowledge. So, the people respected her and also feared her. Ye Lan was gentle when she was with the royal family and her friends, she was the gentlest when she was dealing with Hao Ren. Apart from that, the entire world held no meaning for her. This was one thing that had been constant since she had first been taken in by Hao Ren.

The people boarded the carriage, and Hao Ren teased the children a bit as they moved. The vehicle was filled with their laughter, as they flew high in the sky and headed to the Sunset Province. After an hour when the children got tired and closed their eyes to rest against Hao Ren’s shoulders, the young man asked, "Lan, do you know the person who is causing the rest of the people to worry about, in the Sunset Peaks?"

Ye Lan nodded and replied, "This man is called Long Jin, he recently rose to the rank of the Governor, after his predecessor cited cultivation as the reason to retire. In the initial days, Long Jin was fine, but sometime ago, he met with Young Miss Lingxue on a regular academic exam visit. That was when it all started."

Hao Ren raised his brow and asked, "Is he stating that the royal family has forsaken the people because Lingxue refused to his pursuit?"

Ye Lan shook her head and replied, "Lady Xue liked him initially but then this man began to push her for more time, and even said that he wanted her to focus on raising a family after they got married. As you are aware, Lady Xue has worked really hard to come this far on her path, so how could she just give it all up because of some loser? She broke it up with him and since then he began to spout nonsense."

Hao Ren was surprised and asked, "If that is the case, why didn’t Xue talk to him, I mean this is needlessly putting in the targets of the rest of the people, and if someone this young has risen to the level of the governor, then he must have some skill, no?"

Ye Lan nodded and replied, "Indeed he has a skills that allowed him to reach this level, but if you mix up the professional and the personal issues, then eventually all of it would be for a naught. Han Lingxue was stunned and then she quickly said, "Brother-in-law, I have been wronged, I have not done anything wrong and it was a clear cut from my side, and he is just acting like a broken bit..."

She was about to curse when she realized that Hao Ren had children in his arms and she calmed down. She said, "Brother-in-law, please handle this. I am being stressed out here as well."

Hao Ren sighed and shook his head as he said, "Fine you rebellious child. Look at you acting all bossy with me. You better make me some dumplings when I come back from this, or I will share your embarrassing stories with your nephew and niece."
