Starting from a Magical Girl, Dominating Eternity-Chapter 110: Thoughts Before Going Premium

Because I’m writing too slowly, tomorrow night at eleven, I should be able to release three Chapters to wrap up this part of the storyline, allowing everyone to read it all at once.

As a newcomer, the success of this book greatly exceeded my expectations, inevitably bringing a sense of gain and loss. Every Chapter takes me a night to finish, which I then send to my author friend Ji Yuanli to review. The two of us discuss the issues of the Chapter, revise it, and only when both of us are satisfied do we publish it.

For instance, for Chapter forty-three, it took us two days to get it right.

Since this is likely my first book, it may also be my last book. I hope to give it my all, and regardless of how it performs in the future, I can proudly say I did my best. It’s just that I’m simply not suited for this job, not suited for writing novels.

The inspiration for this book, as many have guessed, is really the domineering eternity of Ilya, also an old cliché that was quite popular last year. However, at that time, I wasn’t thinking about writing a novel. Originally, I was waiting for someone else to write it, but after a year, I didn’t see anyone doing it. I thought the idea might not be suitable for a book, so I didn’t dwell on it.

Then in April of this year, a friend of mine suddenly saw a video clip on Bilibili, ran over with a dramatic flair quoting lines, which amused me. I found it quite interesting, so we chatted about how to expand the idea into a novel, and finally, this book’s prototype was born. 𝒇𝒓𝙚𝒆𝔀𝓮𝓫𝒏𝓸𝙫𝓮𝓵.𝓬𝙤𝙢

Around June, I had written about ten Chapters and showed the first three Chapters to my friend, who now helps me revise daily. Ji Yuanli was astounded, saying this was very interesting and could be published quickly.

At that time, I didn’t have much confidence, so I went to find an editor to submit it. The editor said the content was wild and worth trying; they approved my submission after reading the second Chapter. Originally, I planned to accumulate some drafts by June, but family issues arose, and I got busy job hunting and abandoned it, thinking no one would read it anyway.

Then in August, my job fell through, I had a fight with my family, was a bit at a loss, not knowing what to do. Looking through the ten or so Chapters of drafts, I went back to the editor and shamelessly asked if they still wanted it. Surprisingly, the editor said to just publish it.

I originally thought just some full attendance points would be sufficient, but I never imagined it would hit the Three Rivers platform.

I am truly grateful to my two friends, the editor, and especially the readers who have supported me until now.

Regarding the protagonist’s personality, it was something I had planned from the start of the book. The subsequent plot is strongly related to it. When releasing the book, there were already over ten Chapters of drafts, making it impossible to change this aspect. Personally, I still quite like this personality type. Although I understand that some readers cannot accept it, there’s no helping it.

After all, this book can only exist with this protagonist’s personality.

There’s still a lot of content revolving around the protagonist’s personality to come, including one Chapter whose title I feel could be revealed now: it’s called the Funeral Speech for a Father. You’ll understand the content when you read it, so I won’t spoil it here.

The detailed outline covers the protagonist’s plot until its end; for the rough outline, I have several concluding scenes in mind, and the title for the final Chapter is already set.

Anyway, the whole book follows this tone, being a serious nonsense amalgamation of a little Magical Girl dabbling with the domineering eternity vibe, crossing both parts.

I believe the reason so many readers are willing to accept this book is due to its novelty, as even the editor finds it rare and wild, so the Magical Girl and domineering eternity will both proceed simultaneously. I hope everyone will like it.
