SSS Class Awakening: Start With A God-Level Choice System-Chapter 5: Arriving At The School Cafeteria
Chapter 5: Arriving At The School Cafeteria
Looking at the stats displayed on his status screen, Ainsworth was satisfied.
Strength, Agility, Endurance, and Magic were self-explanatory. Aura was similar to Magic but instead of using Mana which was derived from nature, Aura was the energy generated from the physical body and it was mostly used by physical warriors.
Charm and luck were also self-explanatory. On the other hand, the Spirit attribute referred to resistance to mental and spiritual attacks. A stronger Spirit attribute meant that a person's mind and soul were durable and resilient. It was also synonymous with willpower.
His Magic and Aura stats were "None" due to him not awakening any class yet so while magic and aura were present in his body, it was negligible and couldn't be controlled by him.

Unlike Charm, Luck, and the Spirit attribute, the other attributes are either "None" or at F-rank. Having an F-rank attribute was common, as F- means weaker than the average human, while F+ means the equivalent of a human athlete. On the other hand, F without any negative or positive sign meant that the attribute was average for a human being.
'Even if I haven't awakened any class yet, my parallel self was still dedicated to exercising and laying a good foundation for himself. Otherwise, most students would have only an F- and F attribute in Strength, Agility, and Endurance.'
'As for my A+ Spirit attribute, it's likely a combination of my transmigration, and the fact that my parallel self had encountered a lot of setbacks in life, especially with what happened to our family.'
'Just like an orphan who experienced a lot of suffering and did a lot of side jobs would have a higher Spirit attribute than a pampered second-generation rich young master. The same went for my parallel self who became the Top 3 due to a combination of hard work and talent.'
At this point, Ainsworth didn't care much about the attributes aside from Luck, Charm, and Spirit since the rest of the attributes could easily be improved via the treasures and valuable rewards obtained from the Otherworld Mission or stolen from the Otherworld with rich resources.
And besides, he hadn't awakened his Class yet so he couldn't even improve his other attributes even if he wanted to. The only stat attributes that could be improved beyond F-rank were Luck, Charm, and Spirit while the rest of the stats required class awakening to break free from the limits of an unawakened human being.
While he was satisfied with his God-Level Charm, Ainsworth, Dante, and Rian had already taken their seats in the cafeteria and Dante had already gone off to grab them some lunch.
The three of them knew each other's likes and dislikes regarding food so although any of them could run the errand for fetching lunch, Dante was their best choice since he could bulldoze his way into the crowd and intimidate other students.
Out of boredom, Ainsworth looked around at the school cafeteria and as he expected, his charm had attracted a lot of attention and most girls treated him like eye candy.
He was already used to the attention since his previous appearance was even more than enough to debut in the entertainment industry. Coupled with his Top 3 status, he was the crush of the majority of the girls in school so his view of the attention he got was mostly neutral, not hating or liking it.
However, when he noticed that someone wasn't there, he couldn't help but ask Rian, "Didn't you say that Mira had returned from her business trip and would eat at the school cafeteria?"
Rian smirked, "I thought you weren't interested in Ms. Mira Evadne Whitmore. Weren't your heart only filled with Princess Elyndra?"
Ainsworth clicked his tongue, "Tch! You invited me here to encounter Mira so it would be a lie to say that I wasn't interested in seeing her. After all, tomorrow is the Unified Awakening Ceremony and she's one of Edenbridge High's most likely students to awaken an SSS-rank Class."
"If there's ever an Otherworld Mission that required a large team, us top 10 students in Edenbridge High would likely take it on together so there's no harm in knowing about the current status of my rival and future ally."
As if remembering something, Ainsworth added, "And besides, weren't you the one who had a crush on her? Among us three, you're the one who is most eager to see her. I even doubt if you invited Dante and I to serve as your wingmen."
Rian sighed, "It's only unrequited love. At least you have even one percent chance to pursue your Princess Elyndra. In my case, Miss Mira is way out of my league. At least, even that braindead young master had a higher chance of pursuing her than me."
The "braindead young master" Rian referred to was none other than Caspian Alaric Sterling. That guy was Ainsworth's self-proclaimed rival and often provoked Ainsworth and he did have the capital to do so since he was the Top 4 in Edenbridge High.
Unlike Rian who was the second son of a billion-dollar mogul, Caspian was the heir to a hundred billion dollar conglomerate.
Although Caspian still couldn't compare with Mira, he was at least more likely to succeed in pursuing Mira than Rian and Rian recognized the reality.
Regarding his bro's worries, Ainsworth consoled him, "As long as you can awaken an SS-rank Class, I can carry you and Dante in the Otherworld Mission. By then, even if that braindead young master had a better start than you, you have something that he doesn't."
Knowing what Ainsworth meant, Rian nodded, "Thanks Ains, I'll keep that in mind. But for now, we should wait until tomorrow and see if the three of us can turn things around and become the protagonists of our own story."
