SSS Class Awakening: Start With A God-Level Choice System-Chapter 23: Zombie Outbreak, Encountering A Beautiful Girl Wielding Ice
Chapter 23 - Zombie Outbreak, Encountering A Beautiful Girl Wielding Ice
When Ainsworth jumped out of the window and went outside to survey the surroundings, Dante turned on the dormitory's computer and was glad to find that it still had enough battery and that the internet wasn't down yet.
Scrolling through the internet, he searched for keywords like "zombie outbreak" and "virus" and as expected, there were already clips of people being bitten by zombies.
After several minutes of checking the internet, Dante discovered that the zombie virus didn't seem to be man-made. At least, he hadn't heard of any virus outbreaks from any laboratories.
Of course, it's also possible that the government and higher-ups censored it, but that's quite unlikely, as no amount of censorship could hide the fact that zombies have already been proliferating around the world.
With that discovery, Dante told Rian about it which prompted Rian to stop rummaging through the room since he barely found anything useful in the dormitory room aside from some snacks like junk food stashed away by their fourth roommate.

Hearing those news from Dante, Rian asked, "What should we do now? According to what you said, the zombie outbreak must have already reached this city but just not this part of the city. It won't be long before most of the people in this city become infected by the zombie virus."
Dante sighed, "It's too bad that we aren't allowed to have any equipment in our first otherworld mission. Otherwise, I would have brought a storage ring. Then we could follow the popular route of those zombie apocalypse novel protagonists who use space storage to hoard all the resources from nearby malls and convenience stores."
Rian shrugged, "There's a reason why we aren't allowed to do that in our first otherworld mission and it's to test whether we can rely on our class skills and our own strategy for clearing the otherworld missions."
"Although there's still a pay-to-win mechanic involved considering rich kids like us can buy lots of skill books, but free to pay players if they are talented enough can rely on their class exclusive skills to turn things around."
Rian and Dante didn't lack equipment since their parents had already prepared money to fund them being awakeners since the day they were born.
Naturally, having siblings meant that if the class they awakened wasn't particularly powerful, their funds might be redirected to the more talented one.
After all, it's only practical to give priority to the capable. And if an awakener was truly that powerful, there were exceptions—like the patriarch of the Xiao Clan, who had no resources yet still managed to evolve his class from F-rank to SSS-rank.
Needless to say, Rian and Dante didn't lack any funds since so far, they awakened a much higher quality class than their siblings so their parents focused their resources on them.
However, the equipment prepared for them could only be used on the second otherworld mission so Rian and Dante could only hope they could find a space storage artifact in this zombie world.
After discussing with Rian, Dante pointed out, "Ainsworth already went out to scout the area so he should have decided on our plan in completing the otherworld missions. And if we are lucky enough, the main missions hinted that there are artifacts in this world so one of our priorities is getting a space storage artifact."
Rian agreed with Dante and so, the two of them waited for Ainsworth to finish scouting the area.
To pass the time, Rian piled up all the useful items he could find in the dormitory while Dante started charging all the devices within their dormitory as well as downloading useful files into the dormitory computer.
A few minutes later, Ainsworth returned and entered the dormitory room.
As soon as he returned, he immediately informed them, "The zombie outbreak has reached this school. When I was standing on top of the male dormitory building's roof, I saw the principal being bitten by a zombie."
"Our top priority is to get supplies as soon as possible. If the two of you can wait, I can start looting malls and convenience stores since I can store them due to my class exclusive skill."
Ainsworth blamed his system inventory on his class exclusive skills since no one aside from him knew what his class exclusive skills were.
Furthermore, his SSS-rank Freedom Freelancer class was an awakener class that hadn't appeared yet since the advent of the Awakener Era so no one knew about its class exclusive skills.
Listening to Ainsworth's words, Rian and Dante were relieved that they no longer had to worry about supplies.
Whatever means Ainsworth had used, they didn't care much about it as the result was what mattered. Since Ainsworth said he could store items, the two of them didn't care about what method he used to achieve that.
Seeing that Rian and Dante agreed with his plan, Ainsworth immediately used Freedom of Movement to move to a nearby convenience store he saw.
While leaving, Ainsworth thought, 'Rian and Dante are powerful enough to deal with the zombies especially when it's still day 1 and the zombies haven't evolved to their stronger forms yet.'
With that in mind, Ainsworth no longer worried about them, and in just a single step, he teleported and arrived at the roof of a building near the convenience store.
But when he arrived there, he saw a beautiful girl with long black hair and black-colored eyes wearing a school uniform. She was undoubtedly from the same school that Ainsworth, Rian, and Dante "attended".
However, what was eye-catching wasn't her beautiful appearance but her combat against the zombies in front of the convenience store.
She wielded a sharp and long icicle, thrusting it towards the zombie's eye, penetrating its head. White cold mist appeared around her body which would slow down the zombies' movements.
When she was outnumbered, a wave of her other hand would freeze the zombies into ice sculptures but at the cost of draining her energy and exhausting her.
Looking at the struggles of the beautiful girl being outnumbered by hordes of zombies, Ainsworth thought indifferently, 'She's quite useful. While she is stalling the zombies, I can secretly enter the convenience store and get all the supplies there.'
