"No!" Lyla refused outright, shaking her head. "Tina, I know what you’re thinking. But I’m not giving up, and I’m not giving you this chance."

"Lyla, do you have to be so harsh?" Tina’s face couldn’t hide her anger.

Lyla replied directly, "Tina, we know each other inside out. You know Yana and I are Ryan’s women now."

"If you can swallow your pride and join us, I’d welcome you. But with your personality, I doubt you can accept that."

Seeing that they were about to argue, Ryan quickly intervened, "I’m hungry. Let’s grab something to eat and talk while we eat."

The university cafeteria naturally didn’t serve late-night snacks.

But the food-loving students of the university district would never let themselves go hungry.

Behind the dormitory was a fence with iron bars, and beyond it was a quiet road at night.

However, the sidewalk was bustling with activity.

The barbecue stall owner grilled outside, passing the skewers through a gap in the fence. A section of the fence had been cut to allow trays and small tables to be passed through.

The school turned a blind eye.

After all, it was safer than students climbing over the fence and potentially causing trouble.

"Wow, that’s Ryan, the simp. Tina’s out having late-night snacks with him. Did the sun rise from the west today?"

"Look, Lyla’s with them. It’s not a date, so what’s the big deal?"

"But why did Kaiden frame him? That guy’s no threat; he can’t even get close to Tina."

"Henry’s the real idiot. Lyla dumped him, but what does that have to do with Ryan? Helping to steal phones? He’s out of his mind."

The night’s drama had naturally become the talk of the campus. Now that the main characters were here, everyone was buzzing with gossip.

Ryan couldn’t be bothered to care anymore. He sat down and ordered a bottle of beer. Lyla immediately brought over a glass, washed it, and poured the beer for Ryan, completely ignoring the strange looks from others.

Seeing her act so gentle and devoted, Tina couldn’t help but grit her teeth and say, "Lyla, I never knew you were so good at taking care of someone."

"When you find someone you truly love, you’ll be the same," Lyla replied, her tone ambiguous, neither mocking nor sincere.

"Ten lamb skewers, ten beef tendons, ten beef skewers..." Ryan picked up the menu and started ordering.

Tina was slightly taken aback. In the past, Ryan would have handed her the menu first, asking her what she wanted to eat.

Lyla seemed to know what Tina was thinking. Both of them had a silent expectation: to see who Ryan would hand the menu to first.

To avoid the awkwardness, Ryan simply placed the menu on the table and said, "I’ve ordered. You two can pick what you want."

Both girls felt a bit disappointed. Lyla took the menu and looked at it with Tina. After they finished ordering, Tina grabbed a glass, and Lyla said, "I’ll have a drink too. It’s so hot tonight."

Normally, they never touched alcohol. This was clearly an attempt to keep Ryan company, as drinking alone would be boring.

Ryan ate his skewers and drank his beer, listening to the two girls chat about random things. The atmosphere still felt a bit awkward.

"Lyla, we’ve been friends for so long. Are you really willing to accept Yana but not let me talk to Ryan alone?" Tina finally couldn’t hold back.

"Tina, let me remind you," Lyla said seriously, "Don’t think that just because you talk to him, Ryan will dump us. If that happens, I’ll kill you."

With a favorability of 99, Lyla’s feelings were genuine. Even though they were built on money, her love was real.

Tina gritted her teeth and said, "I swear I won’t do that. Is that enough?"

Lyla smiled slyly. "You’ve always been more materialistic than me, so I believe your determination. But it’s up to Ryan to decide."

The problem was thrown back to Ryan. Seeing Tina’s mix of resentment and expectation, Ryan coughed awkwardly and said, "How about we do this another day? It’s too late tonight."

This was clearly an excuse. Tina, slightly annoyed, said, "It’s only midnight! You used to deliver food until three or four in the morning."

"Alright, Tina, stop throwing a tantrum," Lyla interjected. "You’re not still thinking that just because you’re willing to talk, it’s some kind of favor, are you?"

Just as Ryan was feeling awkward, his phone rang. It was an unknown number.

"Hello, who’s this?" Ryan quickly answered.

After a brief pause, a sarcastic voice came through. "What, Ryan, pretending you don’t know me? You were quite the man that night at the hotel."

It was Nancy—Tina’s mom. Ryan’s scalp tingled.

"I’m on duty tonight, so I’ll let you off for now. But tomorrow night, you better show up. I want to catch up with you."

Thinking of Nancy’s toned, curvaceous figure, Ryan felt a mix of desire and dread. Her tone made it clear she wasn’t here for a friendly chat.

Nancy hung up without waiting for a response. Tina, still persistent, said, "Ryan, do you really hate me that much now?"

Lyla chuckled. "Hate? Definitely not. But he’s definitely not as into you as he used to be."

Ryan noticed the strange looks from people around them. Feeling uncomfortable, he sighed helplessly, afraid the two girls might start arguing and cause another scene.

After finishing their meal, Ryan wiped his mouth and stood up. "Let’s not argue here. There are too many people. Let’s take a walk."

Lyla quickly ran over to pay the bill and then followed. They wandered aimlessly, eventually sitting on the stairs near the teaching building.

"Ryan, here!" Lyla, ever thoughtful, had bought another six-pack of beer, complete with ice in the bag, and carried it over.

"Thanks," Ryan said, opening a can and taking a sip. He lay back on the corridor, lit a cigarette, and felt a wave of confusion.
