Chapter 1819: Naming Convention

Whether large or super sized... Star Ships were clearly not just meant to serve as merchant vessels.

In fact, the Essence Luxuriant World had long prepared for building large Star Ships. Preparations such as refining special materials, carving various runes, and designing complex formations and restrictions had already been underway for some time.

Of course, the most fundamental requirement was a steady and sufficient supply of resources to support the construction of such vessels.

Back when the Essence Luxuriant World was still known as the Spirit Luxuriant World and had yet to ascend, building a Star Ship of that caliber would have been extremely difficult, mainly because many high-grade spiritual treasures could only be cultivated in Essence Worlds and mass-producing them wasn’t cost-effective.

Now, with the Essence Luxuriant World Realm in its 6th year of existence, and with both Kou Chongxue and Shang Xia as Sages securing their foundations, the various powers within the Heavenly Field had been brought into order. It was finally time to unite their strengths and begin expanding in earnest.

Within the Essence Luxuriant Heavenly Field, while balancing the interests of the different factions was important, once Kou Chongxue and Shang Xia reached an agreement, the success of any major undertaking was almost guaranteed.

They discussed further technical details about the construction of the large Star Ship, and the decision was effectively finalized.

As for the construction of super Star Ships... they clearly intended to wait until they had accumulated sufficient experience from building large ones.

"What about Arks? Shouldn’t we also start planning for them?" Shang Xia casually brought up the suggestion.

To that, Kou Chongxue simply shot him down. "Arks are highly specialized in use and unnecessary in large numbers. Yet they're even harder to build than large Star Ships, and the initial investment in materials is enormous. I’ve also been uncertain whether we should attempt a new Ark or two.”

Arks served a key purpose, transporting world fragments, making them indispensable in interstellar expeditions.

Across the vast starry void, wars between worlds likely never ceased, but for a single world or Heavenly Field, centuries could pass without such a war breaking out.

Of course, the Essence Luxuriant World was an exception. It had completed in under 100 years what most worlds took centuries or even millennia to achieve. frёeωebɳovel.com

Shang Xia said, "In the next few decades, the sea of stars won’t be peaceful. Our current Spirit Ark is already starting to fall short. The fact that we had to drag the Azure Cheng World back from the Spirit Tip World proves this. Despite all our precautions, too much of its world origin dissipated during transit. Otherwise, the world would be in even better shape today."

Kou Chongxue remained hesitant. "If we are to build Arks, we must begin with the smallest Azure Arks before moving on to Spirit Arks. Only then can we eventually build Essence Arks. We’ll likely face several failed attempts along the way, and the resource consumption would be massive."

Shang Xia said seriously, "This is something we cannot rely on outsiders for."

Kou Chongxue was momentarily stunned, then, seeing the resolve in Shang Xia’s expression, nodded. "Very well. Let’s do it."

But then another concern came to mind. "Do we have a source of Hollow Heaven Stones? That’s another key factor limiting Ark construction..."

Shang Xia nodded. "Hollow Heaven Stones are strictly controlled in every Heavenly Field. Song Zhen and others have been searching the markets in the Chaotic Sea of Stars for years and have only managed to collect a few shattered fragments, barely enough to build an Azure Ark or two."

Then, changing the topic, Shang Xia said, "Do you recall the World Establishing Art I used when relocating the mini Spirit Lyric World?"

Kou Chongxue naturally knew of it, and knew that Shang Xia had already passed the technique down to several elite members of the institution and had been collaborating with the Formation Hall on some experiments. He asked, "You want to use the technique to replace the function of Hollow Heaven Stone?"

Shang Xia first nodded, then shook his head with a sigh. "In theory, it’s viable. But in practice, it’s extremely difficult to stabilize. There isn’t even a need to mention controlling the size of the separate space formed yet.”

Kou Chongxue raised an eyebrow and mumbled, "Little Chu has been overseeing that project, hasn’t she?"

Shang Xia nodded again. "Yes. If the technique can truly be perfected, it may even help us in constructing Dao Fields and secret regions in the future."

"Dao Fields...” Kou Chongxue muttered to himself, then seemed to remember something. "I heard True Immortal Lu Xueji’s Elysium construction in the Sha Continent is nearly complete? Will that be the 10th Elysium of our world?"

Shang Xia chuckled, "I heard the same. True Immortal Lu has taken part in almost every major operation of our domain and always performed brilliantly. With the favor of our World’s Will, her cultivation has soared. She recently entered the third tier of the Martial Void Realm and The alliance of wandering cultivators she leads in the Sha Continent have consolidated their power and they are beginning to resemble a proper sect."

Kou Chongxue nodded in admiration. "That woman is remarkable."

With the more pressing matters settled, they finally relaxed. Kou Chongxue then brought up a lighthearted topic. "When I met Cang Xuan at the Essence Luxuriant Palace, he told me about the names of the 7 realms within the Martial Emptiness Realm. They’re supposedly from the internal terminology of the Heaven Observation Sect."

Shang Xia’s interest was piqued. "It’s true there are terms for each tier in the Martial Void Realm, but not so for the Martial Emptiness Realm. I’ve asked other Sages before, but their answers are vague. Clearly, there’s no consensus."

Kou Chongxue chuckled. "Perhaps there used to be, but the sect that coined the terms was wiped out, and their naming conventions were abandoned by the other Sages. For example... The Heaven Observation Sect!"

Shang Xia laughed. "So what were the names used within the Heaven Observation Sect for the different stars of the Martial Emptiness Realm?"

"According to Cang Xuan, the first star is called the level of Star Ignition. The second is called the level of Starlight, the third the level of Star Flame, the fourth the level of Hidden Star, the fifth the level of Dark Star...”

Shang Xia couldn’t help but frown, "Those names are unmistakably created by the Heaven Observation Sect. No wonder they were discarded after the sect was destroyed."

Kou Chongxue agreed. "And don’t you think those names are a bit too... Literal?"

Shang Xia quickly responded, "Do you mean it correlates to their Fate Star?"

Kou Chongxue nodded. "It’s possible that the Heaven Observation Sect named these stages based on the evolving states of their Fate Star."
