Chapter 1450: Living Specimen

With the data analysis provided by the Faceless Mask, how could Sein fail to see through this Rank Four Eye Demon’s petty tricks?

In truth, he had already sensed something was off during the earlier chase, but he gave no sign of it and chose to ignore the creature’s behavior.

Battles between Rank Four beings could be maddening.

When faced with one that refused to stand and fight, bringing it down quickly was nearly impossible unless he had an overwhelming advantage, cornered it completely, and beat it into submission.

Even then, the fight would not end swiftly.

After all, Rank Four creatures were notoriously hard to kill.

This particular Eye Demon was neither fast nor skilled at escaping, yet it fled toward the rear of its legion, paying no heed to the lower-tier creatures Sein was mercilessly crushing beneath him.

Wave after wave of radiation power surged toward Sein, and beams from Eye Demons rained down from every direction.

Unless this Rank Four Eye Demon stopped and fought head-on, the battle would drag on endlessly. Sein might even have to call for aid from Tychus and the other Rank Four powerhouses.

“What a cunning creature,” he muttered.

“You set your traps, but did you think I came unprepared?” Sein’s voice was cold as he lifted his gaze to the sky.

At that moment, the Faceless Mask unleashed its true power.

Responding to the law array diagram prepared by the Rank Four Eye Demon, the mask released a different array that rose to the sky.

Unlike the Eye Demon’s array, which required the combined efforts of over a hundred thousand lesser demons and several demigod-level ones, Sein’s Faceless Mask alone could sustain a unique magic array capable of trapping its targets!

Since the breakout battle in the Gallant Federation’s star domain, Sein’s mastery and control over the Faceless Mask had grown far more refined.

“T-That’s... a world-class secret treasure!” the Rank Four Eye Demon cried out in terror.

As a former member of the Magus Alliance, and given that the Grand Eye Demon World was a large-sized plane, it undoubtedly possessed more than just one or two world-class secret treasures.

From the overwhelming pressure of law power erupting from the Faceless Mask, the Rank Four Eye Demon instantly recognized the artifact’s true nature from experience.

During its earlier clash with Sein, the Eye Demon had once unleashed a powerful strike it had been building up, only for Sein to neutralize it effortlessly at the end of his forbidden spell casting. 𝒻𝑟𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝑛𝘰𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝘤𝘰𝘮

At that time, however, the creature had not realized that Sein had deflected its attack using a world-class secret treasure. It had merely assumed he possessed some form of defensive magic.

Now, as the Faceless Mask revealed its full power, it was too late for the Rank Four Eye Demon to escape.

Having finally trapped his foe, how could Sein possibly let it go?

The array unleashed by the Faceless Mask was not designed to kill, but to confine.

The complex array diagram overlapped with the one the Eye Demons had prepared in the sky above.

One was red, and the other white. Though the Eye Demons’ array appeared larger from afar, Sein’s Faceless Mask array stood out more!

With two formations layered atop each other, neither Sein nor the Rank Four Eye Demon could now escape!

Both of them were now completely confined within the space between the arrays!

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!

Countless beams of light rained down from the sky.

Some were the Evil Eye Beams unleashed through the Eye Demons’ array, while others were elemental rays released by Sein’s Faceless Mask.

The energy beams, denser than rainfall, illuminated the entire sky above the battlefield.

At this point, one could only tell friend from foe by color alone.

The red beams came from the Evil Eyes, filled with mutagenic radiation, while the white beams were Sein’s, radiating pure lumen elemental energy.

Master Jorces, the creator of the Faceless Mask, had been a master of lumen elemental magic himself.

Amidst the rain of energy, Sein braced against the downpour of beams and charged straight at the Rank Four Eye Demon.

This time, the Eye Demon had nowhere left to run!

The emergence of two law arrays made Tychus, who had been keeping watch over Sein’s battlefield, and the two other foreign deities exchange puzzled glances.

They had already recognized Sein’s terrifying mastery over pyro elemental magic that could threaten a Rank Five being. Yet none of them had expected him to display such skill in array arts and lumen elemental magic as well.

Yuri, meanwhile, felt no obligation to explain anything to the Magus Civilization powerhouses.

Though she followed Sein’s orders and refrained from intervening to avoid startling the Rank Four Eye Demon, she never stopped worrying about him.

It was not that she doubted Sein’s capability. She only feared that he might be injured during the fight.

She cared for him more than her own life, and even the slightest wound he suffered would cause her unbearable pain.

The war on the Radbow Plane reached its peak after Sein arrived with the Divine Tower of Ashes legions.

By now, its intensity had surpassed even the days when the peak Rank Four Summoner named Barron had led the charge.

The two overlapping law arrays deep within the rear battlefield continued to blaze for six months!

During that time, no lower-tier creature dared approach.

The endless rain of energy beams kept even most demigod-level beings at a safe distance.

Within that sealed formation, only Sein, the Crimson Eye Demon, and the legion of over a hundred thousand Eye Demons remained.

Half a year later, a crack finally split the sealed law arrays.

Sein emerged with a massive crimson eyeball clutched tightly in his hand. His demonic lawful form was covered in wounds.

The eyeball still pulsed with vitality. Its pupil trembled, struggling to break free from Sein’s grasp. Unfortunately, his demonic right claw held it firmly in place.

A thin trickle of blood slid down the edge of the crimson iris.

Sein looked down coldly. “I suggest you stop wasting your energy. Your fate is to become a living specimen in my laboratory collection.”

The crimson eyeball quivered, as if trembling in terror at the fate that awaited it.

Behind Sein, countless corpses carpeted the scorched battlefield.

The legion of over a hundred thousand Eye Demons that had once fought under the command of their crimson-eyed leader had been completely wiped out over the past half year!

Natalya might have been gravely wounded, but Sein was strong enough to make these Eye Demons pay for what they had done.

Taking a deep breath, he surveyed the battlefield one last time before soaring toward Tychus and the others.
