Sovereign of the Ashes-Chapter 1440: The Intelligent Robots
The Threat Index compiled by the Gallant Federation contained nearly all the data they had gathered on Rank Four and above beings from the Magus Civilization.
Even Sein was on that list!
Among the Magus Civilization’s nearly one hundred thousand Rank Four and above knights and mages, along with the hundreds of thousands of foreign deities within the Magus Alliance, Sein’s ranking stood at 23,107!
That was a remarkably high placement, since almost all the Magus World powerhouses or allied foreign deities ranked near him were already Rank Five beings.
Sein had earned his spot through the uproar he had stirred within the Gallant Federation’s star domain.
His appearances on Black Tide Plane and Planet Nocchi proved that he had successfully escaped the federation’s territory, despite their propaganda claiming all infiltrators had been “eliminated”.
If not for their attempts to cover up embarrassment and hide certain failures, Sein’s ranking might have been even higher.
The figures on the list also represented opportunities for military merits and mission rewards.
For ambitious commanders within the Gallant Federation aiming for promotion, greater authority, and command over stronger fleets, these listed Magus World figures were the best stepping stones.
The Magus Civilization Threat Index was constantly updated.
As some Magus Civilization powerhouses were eliminated, new formidable entities gradually rose to take their place.
Since the war began, the Gallant Federation had shown no sign of overall weakness.
Strategically, gains in the Netherworld Star Domain and Grand Eye Demon World had allowed the Federation to hold the initiative.
On top of that, they had harvested vast quantities of top-tier resources from the Magus Civilization’s territory, including Star Cores.
Star Cores extracted from medium-sized planes, in particular, were shipped to the federation’s heavy armories in the rear, where they were used for the construction of overlord-class vessels with destructive power that commanded awe.
Within the federation, a single overlord-class vessel did not equal the strength of a Rank Seven being.
Only when gathered into fleets of sufficient size did they have the power to threaten or directly confront entities of Rank Seven and beyond.
In terms of territory, the Gallant Federation’s star domains were still smaller than those of the Magus Civilization.
But thanks to its advanced productivity and mechanized manufacturing systems, the federation was no inferior to the Magus Civilization.
Even their low-tier robots and drone cannon fodder were cheaper than the Magus Civilization’s enslaved creature legions!

The plane where Skyhold, Aetherend, and the others resided was one of several relatively peaceful resource demiplanes.
The resources harvested here were primarily metallic in nature.
The alliance understood that these robots required no luxurious living conditions; their greatest need was simply metal.
With the Magus Civilization continually allocating magicoins and other types of resources, their progress had been remarkable.
From arriving with only two or three damaged robotic production lines, they had now replicated and established more than ten fully functional ones.
The intelligent robots of Nexon, brimming with hope and vitality, were busy building their new home.
“I thought you would name this place Nexon,” Sein remarked with a smile to Aetherend and the others when he arrived.
“There’s only one Nexon. Even if we rebuild, it will be when we reclaim the star domain,” Aetherend replied calmly.
These intelligent robots understood reality well. After arriving in the Magus Civilization, remaining neutral was no longer an option. It was only a matter of time before they would be drawn into the Clash of Civilizations.
For now, the Magus Civilization treated them fairly. Funds and resources were provided without demanding immediate deployment.
Yet Aetherend was already prepared for battle. It even longed to fight its way back to the Nexon Star Domain and rebuild its real home there.
“You’ll get there. I believe that wholeheartedly,” Sein told Aetherend.
Sein remained highly popular among these intelligent robots.
After spending some time in the Magus Civilization’s star domain, they no longer looked as battered and weary as they had first arrived.
Thanks to relatively intact “black boxes”, many had been successfully “revived”.
Replenishing Rank Four and higher-tier robots, however, was another matter.
The production lines brought by Skyhold, along with replicated facilities elsewhere, lacked the capability to manufacture Rank Four robots.
In truth, even within the Gallant Federation, producing Rank Four units and above was no simple feat.
The destroyed Nexon had once housed the facilities for such production, but it would have required immense effort from federal scientists and massive resource investment.
At present, Skyhold, Aetherend, and the other intelligent robots could only mass-produce lower-tier robots.
For now, there were only thirty-two Rank Four and above advanced robots.
And for the foreseeable future, that number would remain thirty-two—perhaps even fewer, as the war claimed more lives.
To Skyhold and Aetherend, there was little difference between high-tier intelligent robots of Rank Four and above and the ordinary ones below Rank Four.
This newly born race of robots had not developed rigid notions of hierarchy.
Once they were awakened, their status would be the same, whether Rank Four or Rank One!
Discrimination did not exist among them.
This philosophy was built on the foundation that the intelligent robots had only just gained their freedom.
Sein found this principle of equality admirable.
In any case, his purpose here was to increase the “population” of these intelligent robots.
Holding the slowly rotating Magic Cube in his hand, Sein addressed Skyhold, Aetherend, and the others gathered before him.
“After undergoing upgrades by our Magus Civilization, the Magic Cube has become a world-class secret treasure. By granting ordinary robots wisdom through the cube, their efficiency and controllability should surpass what they were before.”
The highly intelligent robots fixed their eyes on the cube floating above Sein’s palm.
As Aetherend had mentioned earlier, it was willing to trade the world-class secret treasure it had been awarded by the federation, known as the Resonance Blade, for the Magic Cube.
Of course, Sein refused!
Having survived the breakout battle from the Gallant Federation’s star domain, the Nexon high-tier intelligent robots who made it to the Magus Civilization were already the elite of their kind.
Sein recognized many familiar faces: Vibron, Redweaver, Stratosurge, Thunderflame, Vanguard, and others.
In truth, these advanced robots served as Skyhold and Aetherend’s strongest aide. This was proof that they had already been among Nexon’s elites back then.
Their very survival through the breakout had also proven their capabilities.
Sein spotted Gilded Beast as well.
It had followed Skyhold and managed to reach the Magus Civilization’s territory safely.
