Sorcerer: I want to be an Academic Prodigy-Chapter 661 - 639: Gray Crow’s Residence_2
Chapter 661 -639: Gray Crow’s Residence_2
He still didn’t know where he was, but compared to the other side, it was indeed more peaceful here, yet fraught with danger and still unable to precisely discern direction. Clearly, he hadn’t yet escaped the Annihilation Guts.
At this point, he could only follow one path to the end.
Unexpectedly, the Prophet’s Treasure Tome in his soul sea suddenly made an unusual movement, and he sensed a guidance, something was attracting him forward.
“A glimmer of hope?”
Ivan didn’t think twice and decisively changed direction, following the guidance.
Soon after, he crashed roughly into a suddenly appeared barrier, and a new world appeared before his eyes, and he landed on solid ground.
It was a gray space.
The space was not large, with mountains, houses, fields, flower beds, and forests, and the stones on the ground were carved with the script of the Elf Plane—Gray Crow’s Residence.
The scenery before him was undoubtedly startling.
As he cautiously observed his surroundings, his arrival startled a pair of gray crows inhabiting there, which were as large as eagles and became agitated.
“Caw caw caw!”
“Little Gray, Big Gray, what’s happening, what’s happening?”
The door of a wooden hut creaked open, and out walked a bright girl in a floral dress. She paused midway when she noticed someone had arrived.
Lord?
Ivan immediately noticed the girl, whose strength was merely at the Lord level. How was this possible? If his memory was not incorrect, this place was still within the Annihilation Guts.
In such a place, he, a Void King Wizard, could barely move, let alone a mere lord.
The two stared at each other, neither speaking.
“Ah!”
The girl suddenly shrieked, which heightened Ivan’s vigilance.
“Antoinette, is that Princess Antoinette on your back?” The girl gazed happily behind him, looking incredulous.
This left Ivan perplexed.
“Who are you?”
“We don’t know each other, but I know Antoinette, the Spring Goddess, also recognized as a princess by our clan. So she isn’t dead; that’s wonderful.”
The girl explained excitedly, and by the end, tears filled her eyes.
Ivan was unmoved and continued to survey his surroundings, looking for any other people, but found none.
“Sorry, I lost my composure.”
“Sir, did you save Princess Antoinette? Looking at her now, she seems yet to recover, could I take a look? I can heal her, and I can help you—”
Noticing Antoinette’s pallor, the girl realized both appeared quite injured and promptly offered help.
“No need!” The situation was eerie, and Ivan dared not to act rashly, so he promptly declined. “If it’s convenient, please just give us a place to rest, we can heal on our own.”
“Convenient, of course.”
Seeing the resolute attitude before her, the girl couldn’t insist and planned to arrange for them to stay in her wooden hut.

However, before she could act, Ivan set Antoinette down, sat beside her, closed his eyes, multi-tasking by staying alert to the outside while examining his own condition.
It annoyed the girl enough to stomp her foot and wave a fist in frustration.
Eventually, she went to busy herself elsewhere.
Ivan then opened his eyes again, shaking his head helplessly.
Could he be blamed for making much of it? Ever since entering the Elf Plane, his journey had been terrible, forcing him to stay alert, never knowing what strange things lurked here.
He also noticed that what had drawn him here was in the other’s flower bed, but he dared not approach rashly.
No matter what this place was, everything could wait until Antoinette woke up to be discussed.
On the first day, the girl brought some items, two cups of sweet water, and some fresh fruits, leaving them at a distance.
On the second day, the girl brought some sweet potatoes, and irritably glared at a certain sorcerer for a while.
On the third day, the girl brought two plates of fresh flowers, pouted from afar, then went on with her tasks.
On the sixth day, Antoinette woke up.
“Little sorcerer, how’s everything?”
“You’re tougher than I imagined.”
With such severe injuries, others would be in a coma for months.
Antoinette took only six days.
Honestly, Ivan had never met anyone tougher than Antoinette, his self-admired recovery ability was not worth mentioning beside her.
“Trying to provoke, who asked you that?”
Antoinette noticed the items on the ground, picked them up, and stuffed them into her mouth: “Where did you pick these? They taste good, quite unique, haven’t had them in a long time.”
Ivan reached out his hand, too late to stop her, and could only drop it: “Someone sent them, look, your admirer is here.”
The girl still wore that floral dress, quickly approaching, gazing intently at a certain Spring Goddess, brimming with excitement.
“What are you looking at!”
“Antoi—”
“Stop nagging, bring all the food you have now, haven’t eaten for years, my stomach’s completely empty, don’t just stand there, hurry up.”
“Oh oh.”
Hearing Antoinette’s words, the girl, despite her complex emotions, obediently turned to fetch food as instructed.
Seeing the Spring Goddess’s demeanor, Ivan, despite numerous doubts, felt more at ease and didn’t hold back, picking up the fruit to eat.
“It’s delicious,” he praised.
It was more than delicious; it was exquisite. As he ate, a wondrous ethereal spirit spread within him, soothing his entire body, though the quantity was somewhat lacking.
“Of course it is,” the girl brought out a large basin of fresh fruits and sweet potatoes, placing them deliberately on the side farthest from a certain sorcerer.
“What’s your name?” Ivan didn’t care about such trivial matters, and with a casual beckon, those seemingly ordinary fresh fruits flew to him.
“Angelique Mimir,” the girl reluctantly replied with a pout.
“I meant the fruit,” Ivan said.
“You—you’re a very rude man,” Angelique, retorting weakly, became briefly tongue-tied before softly uttering an insult.
This reminded Ivan of Mavis.
He glanced at the Spring Goddess beside him.
“Speak if you have something to say.”
“It’s nothing.”
“Hmph! A man who says one thing but means another!”
Antoinette snickered, her wide sweep of the food in the basin observed with mixed feelings by the nearby girl, who hesitated several times to speak.
The girl clearly had never seen this side of a certain Spring Goddess.
Yet, Antoinette didn’t bother acknowledging her.
Ivan found it odd, and since there was a mind-reading individual nearby, he wisely refrained from overthinking.
“How long until you can move freely?”
“Eager to leave?” Antoinette glanced sideways at him.
“You guessed wrong; something’s up with me,” he said. “That woman left me with a curse, similar to the ‘Curse of Burning Demon’, but of a higher level, more peculiar in effect, restricting me from leaving the plane.”
Ivan shook his head slightly, then elaborated further.
This curse was truly strange. Not only did it restrain his escape from the plane, but it also smoothed the plane’s suppression on him. It likely wasn’t just a curse, as this kind of power was extremely troublesome, much like enduring the ‘Curse of Demon’s Resentment’ he once encountered.
“That vile woman only has such tricks,” Antoinette sneered.
“I can remove it myself, but it’ll take at least a year.”
“You’re really lame.”
“Indeed, not as good as you, born a deity.”
“Hmph!”
Bringing up this identity immediately awakened unpleasant memories for Antoinette, making her glare fiercely at the certain sorcerer. He was doing it on purpose.
Ivan shrugged helplessly; he was sure it was unintentional, just that someone was too sensitive.
Since Gray Crow’s Residence seemed safe, he didn’t mind staying awhile, avoiding being hunted down again. Given that woman’s vengeful nature, she’d come to kill as soon as she sensed anything.
By then, he wouldn’t even have the same treatment as a certain Spring Goddess.
Thinking of this, another cold gaze shot in his direction, making him chuckle awkwardly.
