Chapter 1673: Chapter 115 : Our Lives Reflected

*Briella*

“Careful, you shouldn’t lean so far forward, Briella,” Kryzen scolded lightly. “You could fall in.”

I leaned away from the side of the little boat we were on, not to obey my overprotective husband but so that I could look over my shoulder at him and stick my tongue out defiantly.

He gave me an unamused look, which just caused me to laugh, but I did lean away from the side of the boat with an eye roll.

“I saw that,” he grumbled, but I could hear the amusement in his tone.

“You were meant to,” I countered with a wry grin.

I leaned back contentedly and gazed out at the open water. Kryzen was rowing the tiny wooden boat we were on. Thankfully, the islands of the Enchanted Isles were just a couple hours away from each other by boat.

The water was calm, almost unnaturally so, but we weren’t going to complain about that. It was peaceful out on the crystal clear water. I loved peering over the edge at the colorful fish below. They had scales that looked to be made out of gemstones. They threw rainbows through the water.

I glanced back at Kryzen, watching as he continued to row the boat, his strong arms flexing each time he rotated the oars. I felt my face flame and quickly turned back around to face the front.

My face darkened even further when I heard his teasing scoff. “Like what you see?” he asked in his deep voice.

I couldn’t bring myself to turn back to look at him, but I scoffed at the arrogance in his voice. “It was alright,” I teased.

My eyebrows rose when I realized that the boat had stopped moving, the sound of the oars gliding through the water ceasing. I turned to look at Kryzen and ask what was wrong, but he was right behind me. Before I could turn fully, his arms wound around my waist. He yanked me back against his chest, causing the small boat to jostle dangerously.

“Careful,” I snapped. I turned to give him a scolding look. “You could have capsized us.”

Kryzen just laughed and tightened his arms around me, kissing my cheek and causing a shiver to go through me. “Would I ever let anything happen to you?” he rumbled in my ear.

I blew out a breath. “No,” I admitted.

“Good,” he said. I could hear the mischievous grin in his voice. His fingers stroked the sides of my waist, causing me to wiggle. I had to stay still to keep from rocking the boat quite literally. “Now I believe you said something about you only finding what you saw alright when you were watching me?”

“Kryzen,” I whined, attempting to shove his arms off me, but he held tight. It only took a moment before I was leaning back against his delicious warmth.

“Briella,” he countered, raising an eyebrow. He tickled me briefly, causing me to squeal. “Now admit that you loved what you saw.”

I attempted to slip out of his arms but to no avail. I bit my lip hesitantly. “Never,” I finally snapped. “I would sooner jump off the side of this boat.”

I couldn’t help but grin at the disbelief that flashed across Kryzen’s face. Even now that we were married and rulers of an entire kingdom, the power struggle between us remained stronger than ever.

I wouldn’t have it any other way. The fight between us was a huge part of our relationship. It brought a fire between us that I hoped would never be extinguished.

Kryzen tickled me mercilessly, laying me down on the bottom of the boat and pinning me down against the smooth wood. Our laughter carried over the calming waters.

When Kryzen finally let me go after I was completely out of breath, he announced that we should continue. He went back to his seat between the oars. I crawled onto his lap, leaning my back against his chest while he rowed the boat.

I wouldn’t admit it to him, but I chose to sit there because I knew I would be able to feel his muscles flex as he propelled us forward.

“Just wait there for a second while I secure the boat,” Kryzen said. Before I could answer, he jumped off the boat, landing lightly on the sand of the next island we got to. He pulled the boat up onto the sand, making sure it was fully seated before he reached a hand out to me to help me out.

I grasped his hand gratefully and squeaked when Kryzen wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me down.

I gaped up at the island. It was much smaller than the last few we had explored but so much prettier. The rocky ground was translucent and looked to be made of crystals. There were shimmering shells embedded in the ground, making the entirety of it look like it was made out of stained glass.

The sand we were walking on was extremely soft, almost powdery. It was white but shone with blues and pinks. I bent down and grabbed some up in my hands, marveling at the soft texture.

Kryzen took my hand. “Let’s go,” he murmured to me as if he could disturb the beautiful scene by speaking too loudly.

We wandered the tiny island through crystal caves and thin streams. There was significantly less plant and animal life there, but it somehow didn’t make it seem any less alive. The rainbow crystal structures seemed to glimmer as we passed. I put my fingers against the glassy surfaces, staring at my reflection in the shiny material.

“This is incredible,” I whispered. “Do you think they speak to us like the whispering woods or the waterfalls at the other island?”

“It’s hard to say,” Kryzen said. “I guess we’ll just have to look around and see what happens.”

In the end, we didn’t find anything supernatural about this island. We did find a lot of beauty in the colorful sand and the shimmering caves. The fact that nothing magical happened during our time there didn’t make it any less special.

It was still a wondrous place.

“Are you having a good time?” Kryzen asked as we walked back to the boat.

I whirled to give him an appalled look. “Of course, I am!” I said with shock. “You really thought that I wasn’t enjoying myself?”

He laughed at my reaction. “No, I could tell that you were,” he said. “I just wanted to make sure.”

I took his hand and swung our joined hands absentmindedly. “You were right that this was good for both of us,” I said. “We needed to just be us. I feel so much closer to you now after getting married and going on this trip. But I still want more.”

We were at the boat now, but we didn’t get in. Kryzen turned and kissed me deeply. I gasped against his mouth, causing Kryzen to smirk and dip his tongue inside, tasting the inside of my mouth.

I was breathless when he pulled away. “I don’t think that feeling will ever go away for me,” he said breathlessly. “I will always want more of you, Briella.”

My eyes filled with tears at his words. I straightened when his hands went for the buttons on the back of my dress. He undid them with quick, practiced precision. I shivered lightly as the bare skin of my shoulders and back were exposed to the cool air. I gasped when my dress fell onto the sand, leaving me in just my underwear.

Kryzen’s eyes were dark and hooded as he gazed at me, his hands tangling in my hair so he could kiss me again, hot and heavy. When he pulled away, he removed his shirt and pants, dropping them next to my dress.

“Kryzen!” I gasped with a laugh when he tugged me into the water. It was a little cold but quickly warmed as the seconds passed.

He pulled me down so that we were on our knees facing each other, the water lapping gently against the sand around us. In this position, the water was around my midsection. Kryzen wrapped his arms around my waist, pulling me so I was flush against his body, our bare chests pressing together. I could feel his heart hammering hard against mine.

More than that, I could feel his rock-hard erection.

I swallowed excitedly, looking up into his eyes and shivering lightly when I saw the plain desire there. The waves wrapped around us, bathing us in warmth. It only served to deepen my arousal.

I moved my hips forward, rubbing my front along Kryzen’s bulge, practically begging for access to it. He gave me a heated look in return and started running his fingers up and down my sides, causing me to shiver more.

I moaned as Kryzen laid me down on my back in the water. It was shallow enough to where my head was still above the waves. I propped myself up on my elbows so I could watch as Kryzen removed my panties. My mouth watered when he removed his underwear, giving me a full view of his hard cock.

I spread my legs apart, feeling the waves gently lapping against my entrance. Kryzen’s thick fingers slid inside. He gritted his teeth with a hiss when he felt how ready I was for him.

“I will always need more of you,” Kryzen repeated, lowering himself over me so he could kiss me fiercely.

“I’ll give you more,” I promised him, lifting my hips up slightly, begging for him to fill me. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝚠𝕖𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝕖𝚕.𝚌𝗼𝗺

Kryzen needed no further urging, lining himself skillfully before sliding into me in one fluid movement that had me tossing my head back and curling my toes in the sand.

Kryzen moved inside of me, moving rhythmically to the crashing of the waves around our bodies. The sensation was unlike anything else. I was climaxing in what seemed like seconds, shrieking and digging my fingers into Kryzen’s firm biceps.

“That’s right, scream for me, Briella,” Kryzen ordered during one particularly rough thrust.

I loved hearing my name on his lips when we made love. It made it that more clear to me that I was his. I obeyed and cried out again as I rode another orgasm much like the waves lapping up against us.

Kryzen lowered himself completely over me, pressing his entire body over mine as he stilled deep inside me before he finished, pumping me with his seed. I moaned as his essence filled me up, the warmth almost overwhelming as it set my nerves on fire.

My brain was buzzing when Kryzen gently pulled out of me. He carefully lifted my limp body from the cool water and carried me back to the sand.

“I love you,” he murmured when he placed me down on the soft ground.

He kissed me again, his mouth exploring mine. I wrapped my legs around his waist. My arms were around his neck to hold him even closer to me.

At that moment, our lives perfectly reflected the gorgeous crystal island backdrop behind us. It was perfect, glittering, and endlessly wondrous.
