Slowly Falling into His Love Trap-Chapter 252: When the Narcissism Hits, He’s Really Something Else
Evelyn’s nose stung, and her eyes felt warm. She sniffed, forcing herself to perk up and continue handing out those fans under the blazing sun.
As she mechanically handed out flyers, she felt lifeless, her amber eyes dull and her pale little face devoid of color.
She constantly reminded herself that this was her life, the place she was meant to be.
Stubbornly, she refused to look back, not even glancing behind her.
Even though she knew Caden Lockwood wouldn’t stay there waiting for her, her heart still held such an expectation.
In fact, by looking at the passersby, she knew he had already left.
After all, wherever Caden Lockwood was, everyone’s attention would surely be drawn to him.
But the passersby were only focused on walking their own paths.
Clearly, there was nothing here worth stopping for or lingering.
But did he really just leave like that?
He came all the way here for her; could it be just to take a quick look at her?
Unable to resist her heart, Evelyn finally turned around to look at the place where she had met Caden Lockwood earlier.
It was empty, with nothing there.
Her heart quietly sank, and the corners of her lips twitched awkwardly into a mocking smile.
Even though she had anticipated such a scenario, she inexplicably still felt so disappointed.
Turning around, she bumped into a firm and broad chest, saw a black figure, and caught a familiar scent in her breath.
Panic and surprise coexisted in her eyes. Just as she looked up, the fan in her hand was snatched away.
What came into view was Caden Lockwood.
His expression was cool, his handsome face exuded arrogance, and as he lifted her hand, a band-aid was in his hand.
Her eyes trembled as she looked at him, blinking, thinking she was dreaming.
Why is he... still here?
And... a band-aid?
Holding her hand, a hint of worry seeped into his brow.
After carefully bandaging her wound, a trace of satisfaction finally appeared in his eyes.
"Even with something as small as applying a band-aid, I can do it perfectly!" Caden Lockwood said with a tone of pride.
Evelyn was startled, her gaze at Caden Lockwood filled with intense awkwardness.
He usually isn’t narcissistic, but when he is, he’s truly something else!
Only then did Caden Lockwood lift his eyes, letting his gaze fall on Evelyn’s face.
After looking her up and down, the gloom on his face gradually cleared, and the corners of his lips curved into a faint smile.
"Your life and my life are the same, what you can do, I can do too."
Saying this, Caden Lockwood picked up a few fans, a hint of hesitation flashed in his eyes, and then he looked towards the passing crowd, finally slowly extending his hand.
Evelyn was completely stunned by Caden Lockwood’s action.
What is Caden Lockwood doing?
Handing out flyers?
Oh my God!
Has he gone mad?
She couldn’t spare time to think more, Evelyn hurriedly stepped forward, stopping Caden Lockwood’s hand, urgently saying, "You don’t need to..."
"I know what I should do," Caden Lockwood said, lowering his eyes, interrupting Evelyn.
"But..."
"In your heart, aren’t I just a domineering, unreasonable rich second generation?" Caden Lockwood said coldly, "Then watch closely."
After saying that, he ignored her, gritting his teeth and repeatedly extending the fans in his hand.
Watching Caden Lockwood’s awkward movements and the awkward yet dark expression on his face, Evelyn bit her lip, her heart aching as if something was gnawing at it.
When has he ever done such things?
The sun was scorching, large beads of sweat rolled down his face, streaming along his firm contours, tracing sexy curves.
Evelyn’s eyes gradually became moist as well.
[PS: Uncle Lockwood is actually handing out flyers! My heart! It’s hurting! But why are the corners of my mouth turning upwards? Haha—]
