Slime Leveling [Litrpg, Timeloop]-Chapter 210—Lily
'I really didn't expect to use this so fast,' Averon mused, raising his brows.
He muttered internally, 'King's Mark, activate.'
The black-gold crown mark on his palm shone with bright blue light.
The crown of the same shape manifested on Averon's head.
His body flooded with an overwhelming amount of energy as the black ice shattered into pieces.
"What incredible power," he exclaimed, clenching his fists.
Glancing at the coffin, he wondered, 'Is it really good to break it?'
He still remembered the Octopus Eldritch and Spider Eldritch.
He would still feel a chill down his core whenever he recalled their appearances.
Remora had stated to break it, but he couldn't bring himself to do so.
'It might cause a problem,' he raised his brows, glaring at the coffin which pulsed with black energy.
Averon glanced at the spark, which kept rotating around the coffin as if requesting him to break it.
He glanced at himself—he wasn't flaring with energy like usual. He was calm, like in his normal state.
"Good control," he muttered.
"Let's check it out." He raised his palm as flames appeared, followed by lightning, water, and other elements via mana and magic runes.
"Whoo," he uttered, as fire changed into a fireball the size of one meter.
He was surprised as he hadn't cast a fireball spell—just with mana and a fire magic rune, he had created it.
'This must be Tier 5 mastery,' he clicked his tongue. "Let's get to business."
He held his chin and sighed, "Remora wouldn't harm me… So, let's break it."
Whoosh!
He flashed in front of the coffin, casting "Demonic Fire Fist."
His palm erupted with demonic black flames as he slammed his fist into the large violet magic rune on the front.
Boom!
The black demonic flames surged the moment his fist connected with the magic rune.
Zzz!
The rune pulsed violently, as if resisting instinctively.
The rune flared with violet mana and wiped out the flames.
'Let's try more,' Averon spat, floating in the air, as he went for another attack. "Demonic Flames Fist."
Boom!
Bang!
He slammed more than ten attacks in one moment, as afterimages of his fists formed.
Ten fists with burning black flames formed in the air.
Crack! Crack!
The demonic force shattered the magic rune into dust, which vanished in the next moment.
The chains and the remaining three runes were shattered in the same way, as Averon punched them in a row.
The hall trembled—not from the impact, but from what was about to awaken.
"How are they this weak?" he muttered, knitting his brows together.
"It's because you wield peak Tier 5 king power," a cold, creepy female voice sounded from the coffin, "And the seal had weakened due to time."
Averon landed back on the ground and took a few steps back.
Thud! Thud!
The slamming sound echoed from the coffin as the lid broke apart, rising into the sky.
Averon blinked his eyes as a beautiful young woman clad in white light armor rose into the air.
She had a well-proportioned human form—extremely beautiful—though her body was carved from living wood.
Red veins formed her hair, purple lotuses bloomed within it, and her eyes were yellow-black gems—making her even more otherworldly.
She was surging with eldritch black energy, which covered the entire hall.
Black ice spread around the entire hall and extended out.
Her temperament was alien, strange, and bone-chilling. Just one glance at her would make weak-hearted people faint.
"It's you," Averon uttered, his eyes widening.
"Hmm? You know me?" the woman asked, tilting her head. She was surging with black eldritch energy.
The woman in front of him was an acquaintance of Averon's.
Averon shifted back to his slime form and yelled, "It's me—Slime#47!"
The woman paused and glanced down.
"Remember… I have come to the past," Averon wobbled crazily.
"Is this your time?" she asked.
"Yes… The time... where Remora is no longer alive," Averon replied bitterly.
Gazing at the woman, he noticed she had changed from what he remembered.
'She's even more beautiful compared to before—her deadly temperament increased it,' he then scowled. 'What did she experience?'
Lily—the plant demon he had met while learning in the Seralyth language classes—had been corrupted, or… rather, transformed into an Eldritch.
"What happened? Why did you change like this?" Averon asked, narrowing his eyes. "What actually happened in the past?"
"Appraisal," he muttered.

'She's too powerful,' he clenched his fists. 'If my King's Mark runs out… I'm dead.'
"No wonder you had so much burden on you," Lily sighed, glaring at Averon.
"Are you corrupted, or are you an unholy?" the young slime asked, changing back to humanoid form.
He couldn't understand the system title. 'What is half unholy?'
Lily replied, taking a breath. "I can use the power of an unholy as well as a demon… making me half unholy and half demon."
"It's just that—" She sighed bitterly after a moment.
"What is it?" the young slime asked, as Lily paused.
"Look around you," she said, landing on the ground softly.
Averon's eyes widened as he glanced around. Thick black energy covered the entire room. Lily was flaring with demonic force.
Black ice grew to a few inches high, spread across the room, and extended out.
"Do you think people would survive if I went out like this?" Lily spat, glaring at the ceiling with her eyes a little wet.
Averon stood silent.
He had experienced the black ice firsthand—with this power, he felt death close. And he was a being rivalling Tier 3.
Only because of the King's Mark could he move freely now.
"Why did you break the seal?" Lily questioned, clenching her fists.
"So you let yourself voluntarily get sealed," Averon realized, his core felt heavy. 'Just to protect others… She gave up living outside.'
Lily did not answer. Her silence was enough.
"Now there is no one capable of sealing me back," Lily hissed, her black energy flaring high, shaking the entire Demon King palace.
And for the first time, her voice trembled.
Averon raised his head and glared at the black spark.
"Remora," he muttered.
The black spark flickered, as if responding to Averon's words.
"What?" Lily tilted her head.
