After yesterday’s exhausting battle, Lohan had a pleasant night’s sleep.

He would normally sleep for at least 12 hours, but with his current body, it took less than 8 hours to fully replenish his energy.

Upon waking up, Lohan walked to the refrigerator in his small rented apartment and, upon opening it, found the light inside flashing nonstop until, after a few seconds, it went out completely.

He tried closing and opening the refrigerator door a few times to see if that would fix it, but it didn’t work; the light had probably burned out.

Sighing, he didn’t care and took the last bag of nutrient solution, poured the dirty, smelly water from the sink, and finally poured the contents of the bag into the glass, making the smell disappear, despite its ghastly appearance.

"I think I’ll need to go shopping... I hope the money from selling the Acid is enough."

Looking at it more closely, Lohan was surprised by something.

’Compared to digesting the brains of goblins, kobolds, or giant snakes, the contents of this cup don’t seem so unpleasant.’ He laughed when he realized this fact.

In his human body, he could still taste things, unlike Halon’s body, so he wouldn’t become a brain eater, but still, at least eating this now didn’t disgust him anymore.

After drinking this nutrient solution, in a few seconds all the nutrition from it was absorbed and distributed throughout his body, causing the feeling of infinite energy to return.

Without wasting a second, Lohan bent down and started doing his exercises, until in the middle of a push-up, he remembered something.

"Wait, I still haven’t sent the doctor’s note Lisa prepared for me... or rather, did she really prepare one?"

Although he had decided that he would skip class today anyway, it would still be better to go through with it with the free pass that a doctor’s note would bring.

So he ran back to his room and grabbed his phone, finally seeing a new notification.

[Syn: New friend request from Lisa.]

Lohan didn’t think twice and accepted the friend request.

When the friendship was formed, her profile picture finally appeared.

Unfortunately, instead of a photo of the girl who controlled the character Lisa, the only photo available was a picture of a forest with trees filled with bright red leaves.

Lohan was amazed by that view, totally different from anything he had ever seen in the three worlds he had lived in. ’I don’t even know what planet something like this is from...’

Out of curiosity, he opened his own profile and realized that he didn’t even use a photo, using only the default icon of a blank avatar.

Looking around and seeing that there was nothing worth photographing, and considering that the quality of his old cell phone camera would only embarrass him in front of those who could take realistic photos with their eye holograms, he simply gave up.

[Hayes: Good morning Lisa, I just woke up, how are you?]

The response took less than thirty seconds.

The Syn app glowed in an elegant white tone on his cracked cell phone screen.

[Lisa: I just woke up... I took care of your certificate, check your inbox.]

Lohan opened the file.

It was an official document from the Elite Central Hospital, with government seals that he could never forge. His "friend" really did have scary connections.

[Lisa: Three days of complete rest for ’acute respiratory failure due to exposure to heavy metals’ should be enough for your boss not to question it, you just need to fill in your name.]

’Respiratory failure... little do they know at the college that my Digestive Filter is doing a much better job than the college’s purifiers haha.’ Lohan thought contentedly, feeling the Mana circulating warmly through his chest.

[Hayes: Thank you, Lisa. That saves my life. See you in Thalendor?]

[Lisa: Yes. I’ll log in in ten minutes. Don’t be late... Aeliana is too valuable a contact to keep waiting.]

With her confirmation, Lohan forwarded this certificate to the college contact, finished his exercises, and logged into Elysium again.

After verifying the authenticity of this certificate, the college staff asked no further questions.

Two students were absent from today’s class, Isabella Vance and a nobody from the Lower Zone. Due to the huge difference in status between them, no one connected that they might be skipping class together, and if the two knew about each other’s absence, they also wouldn’t connect that the coincidence actually had anything to do with each other.

Unlike Isabella’s absence, which was noticed by everyone, Lohan’s absence was noticed by only one person.

In Elysium, the sun was shining brightly in the sky.

"How I missed a beautiful sun like this..." He thought excitedly, feeling the comfortable warmth touch his membrane, causing crackles of satisfaction. "No matter how many times I see it, this sky always makes the Lower Zone seem like a distant nightmare," he continued to think, as he felt the weight of the Shadow Serpent Acid swaying inside his membrane, which had been expanded by the recent mass upgrade.

Next to him was a small, delicate white fox, whose fur looked like strands of white silk in the sunlight, shining with what appeared to be the manifestation of her Mana.

Lisa turned her head, her eyes half-closed in an expression that mixed her usual coldness with a surprising subtle trace of camaraderie after the victory against the giant snake.

"Still admiring the clouds, Halon?" Her telepathic voice resonated in his mind, and although cold, it was sweet and pleasant to hear.

Lohan vibrated the gelatin, forming a small blue hand that made a thumbs-up sign in the air. "Yeah, no matter how much I look, everything I see here is very beautiful."

Since Lohan had no eyes, Lisa didn’t know where he was looking, only able to guess from the hand next to his body, with the thumbs-up sign pointing slightly towards her.

But she had to agree, of the many planets she had traveled to, this world was the most beautiful she had ever seen.

Although it was daytime, the sky had three large moons floating around, and the clouds were not only white but varied in color depending on some factors she was unaware of.

Everything was so beautiful and different that everyone’s mood practically improved just by being there, even for people from the Upper Zone, who could see the blue sky on the planet she lived on in the real world.

Imagining that Aeliana might already be waiting for them, Lohan wasted no time and began rolling toward their usual meeting point, taking advantage of the surrounding grass to continue digesting biomass.

Although his digestion speed had increased so much, he was still not at the point of digesting the entire grass in a second, but to compensate for moments when he would not have enough biomass available, Lohan focused his immediate digestion on the roots of plants to absorb the grass, tree trunks, flowers, small insects, and everything that appeared in his path so that he could digest it later.

Lisa walked quietly beside him, not worrying about the destruction he was causing, knowing that this was also part of his training.

Soon they spotted the young elf, looking around excitedly, but there was someone else beside her!
