Sinner System-Chapter 525: Final Dungeon - Fourth Floor (Part 2)
"Wait, so...you can make unlimited copies of any items you’ve stored in your Treasury Skill?" Inquired Jaden in bemusement.
"Yeah, pretty much, though there are exceptions. Besides plants, I can’t put living things in there, and I also can’t make copies of the Personalis Arma, though I can store them," I replied, as I took a bite of my rapidly melting ice cream.
About half an hour had passed since I sent the Apostles out to find the next Sentinel, and after generating a bunch of copies of cold treats, Aarav asked me just how much stuff I had stored in Treasury.
And I figured I might as well reveal how it works, I don’t really have a reason to hide it anymore.
Well, I probably shouldn’t make it publicly known, I doubt the businesses whose products I’m making copies of will take particularly kindly to it.
"That’s crazy useful, GM...man, wish I had that ability. If I did, then whenever I crave my favorite snacks and stuff, I can get it instantly, instead of having to wait for delivery," Grinned Brid enviously.
"Yeah, it also helped me save a ton of money when I was first starting out and-...," I began.
<Hey, I’m back>
<Invidia and I found the Sentinel>
<The Monsters on this floor consist of Hellhounds, Lycanthropes and Cereberuses, the Sentinel somewhat resembles a Lycanthrope>
"What’s up? Did one of your Apostles return?" Jaden asked me.
I mean, Ai technically isn’t an Apostle, but I’m not going to bother with explaining the difference, there’s no point.
"Yeah, we’ve got the location of the Sentinel. We’re dealing with the dog-like Monsters on this floor," I informed everyone, as I hopped onto my feet and dusted the sand off.
Ai, which direction is it? I’ll direct the Apostles to clear a straight path for us.
<Head straight about twenty degrees to your right, the Sentinel’s that way, at a distance of about two-thirds of this floor>
Got it.
Ai helped direct me as I led the way, the others following after me as we trekked through the scorching hot desert.
The layer of sand is pretty thick, our feet keep sinking in with every step. It’s not quite as bad as the toxic terrain in the previous floor, but it’s a close second.
We’re going to need some recovery Enchantments cast on us once we’re close, this terrain is serious sapping our energy.
"Should I generate some frosty air?" Suggested Cleo, dragging her feet through the sand.
"No, you can only do that for five seconds unless you use Monstrification, don’t waste your power boost," I replied reluctantly, resisting the temptation.
"I mean, I have four different Skills that can generate frost and ice, so I can give us about twenty seconds of cold air, and then forty-five seconds before I can do it again," She pointed out.
"If it isn’t a burden as far as Mana consumption goes, I’d say why not? It should make things a hell of a lot easier," Chimed in Jaden with a strained sigh.
"And I can restore her Mana if it’ll use up too much," Added Jax eagerly.
We’ve still got a good bit of ground to cover before we reach the Sentinel, so...
"Alright, then, go for it, Cleo," I nodded, a sense of relief washing over the group as she moved to the middle and chanted...
"<Slime Frost Cloak>."
A layer of frosty slime appeared over her entire body, a cold mist flowing out around her.
An awkward look appeared on her face as the others immediately gathered closer towards her, surrounding her on all sides.
"Ahh, that’s real nice," Sighed Aarav gratefully.
"<Giant Slime Frost Cloak>," Cleo swiftly chanted as her Skill reached its time limit, a more intense coldness flowing out as she cast her next Skill.
Once it reached its time limit, she switched to Wyvern Frost, and then Dragon Frost, the cold air making things a lot easier for us.
The next forty plus seconds ticked over at a snail’s pace, as we all restlessly waited for her cooldowns to end.
We continued heading in the direction of the Sentinel as Cleo provided brief bursts of cold air to help alleviate the heat.
While heat doesn’t technically affect those of us with the Elemental Immunity Skill, it does still dry out their skin and throats, causing some discomfort.
We proceeded to cover a fair bit of ground, making pretty decent time. We came across a number of Hellhound, Lycanthrope and Cereberus corpses along the way, and before too much longer...
"I sense it, the Sentinel. The ring of pillars is less than a hundred meters ahead," Cleo informed us, right as the Apostles came into sight.
"Once again, great work, guys," I greeted them gratefully.
"<Of course, it’s the least we can do since we aren’t able to fight the Sentinels ourselves>," Smiled Superbia with a thumbs up.
"<This floor is too hot, I want to sleep>," Grumbled Acedia wearily.
"Alright, then, we should take this opportunity to get our stamina refreshed, and Mana for anyone who needs it," Suggested Aria, Jax promptly springing into action and casting his Enchantments.
"Are you doing good on Mana?" I asked him.
"Yup, nothing to worry about there. I can restore my own Mana with my Mana Recovery Spells. It puts a bit of a strain on my Mana circuits, but it’s nothing I can’t power through," He replied with a thumbs up.
"Wow, that’s pretty rare, most Enchanters can’t cast Mana Recovery on themselves," Responded Jaden, looking impressed.
"Yeah, I worked pretty hard at it, and I’m glad it’s paying off. So long as I’m here, you guys don’t have to worry about running out of stamina or Mana," He smiled assuredly.
"Careful, don’t say stuff like that, it’s a death flag," I frowned warily.
"Huh, didn’t take you for the superstitious type. But, yeah, I suppose I shouldn’t tempt fate. I just wish I could cast my boosting Enchantments on whoever is chosen to fight the Sentinels," He sighed wistfully.
"Look sharp, I see the pillars," Remarked Jaden, a sense of tension falling over us as we approached our next battle...
