Chapter 452: Chapter 452: Calamity Raids (Part 10)

Point-of-View: Ira

———————————————————————————

"[Demonic Art: Pierce]!"

I veered across the air, grimacing as an invisible force tore across my right side, before I unleashed a barrage of Ether blasts towards the Archdemon.

He shot across the air to evade it, before swerving off to his left as a ringing blast of sound came shooting towards him, narrowly evading it before triggering a sharp burst of Negative Energy as my Ether blasts closed in on him.

He managed to cancel them out with his attack, before he quickly tilted his body across as I fired out a piercing beam of Ether towards him, grimacing as the beam shot through the right side of his chest and burst out his back.

He rushed across to the right through the air as another blast of sound shot up towards him, avoiding it before crossing his arms in front of himself as I took aim and fired a swirling blast of Ether.

The blast struck his arms, erupting with a bright flash as he got sent flying back through the air, bringing himself to an abrupt halt as he sharply spread out his wings.

He paused for a moment, eyeing me warily, before suddenly swooping down towards Beatriz, Negative Energy swirling around his hands.

As he closed in on her, she leaned back and blasted herself away with an intense burst of high-pitched sound, dazing the Archdemon, before I swiftly unleashed a rapid, slashing wave of Ether towards him.

He gasped in pain as I sliced off his left arm, before flying back up into the air and zipping towards me rapidly. 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚

"[Demonic Art: Pierce]!" He exclaimed, driving his right hand towards me as he closed in.

I twisted my body across, grimacing as he inflicted a deep gash across the right side of my stomach, before he tensed as I grabbed hold of his wrist with my left hand, charging up a concentrated mass of Ether in my right hand.

As I drove the charged up Ether towards the middle of his body, he frantically whipped his left arm across, slicing through his right forearm with his claws before flying back as fast as he could.

I fired the concentrated, swirling sphere of Ether towards him as he backed away, before his left arm got blasted off as he used his forearm to block the attack from hitting his Core, his arms rapidly growing back as he got some distance.

"<You bastard, die already>!" I snapped, before unleashing a fierce volley of Ether projectiles towards him.

He rapidly flew across, swerving and weaving through the air to evade the barrage of attacks, a few grazing him as he zipped around like an insect, narrowly avoiding any direct hits.

All his focus is on me, more specifically, on dodging my attacks...a fatal mistake...

As I continued chasing after him through the air with my flurry of Ether blasts, steadily shepherding him into position, he stiffened as he realized he’d played right into my hands...or rather, our hands.

A deafening wave of ringing, sonic sound came blasting up towards him, a sharp gasp echoing out as blood burst out of his ears, a severely dazed look on his face as he swayed through the air, just barely staying airborne.

As Beatriz’s attack petered out, I unleashed a devastating burst of Ether from my feet to launch myself towards the Archdemon, a sharp wheeze ringing out as I closed in on him in the blink of an eye, channeling all my momentum into my right fist and slamming it onto the middle of his stomach.

Blood poured out of his mouth as he gasped in agony, before I grabbed the sides of his head and pulled it down while simultaneously driving my knee up, unleashing a burst of Ether from my knee as it collided against the middle of his face, breaking his nose.

"<You Demons’ ability to regenerate can be troublesome...but it also makes you excellent punching bags>," I uttered murderously, before coating my fists in intense, swirling Ether.

I whipped my arm across, striking the side of his face with my right fist, a spray of blood flying out before I flew back slightly and slammed my foot onto his chest, sending him hurtling back through the air.

I shot forward as he crashed onto the wall behind him, before gasping as I slammed my foot onto the middle of his chest, blood erupting out of his mouth as I unleashed a devastating burst of Ether from my foot, crushing his ribcage.

I fired out jets of Ether from my shoulder blades to keep myself balanced, before triggering another powerful Ether burst from my foot, an agonized wheeze ringing out.

As blood gushed out of his mouth and streamed down his chest, I continued unleashing bursts of Ether from my foot, in a cold, raging fury.

"<I would like nothing more than to do this for hours on end. But it’s probably for the best that I end this now>," I remarked coldly, shifting my foot down to his stomach from his mangled chest.

I charged up and concentrated Ether into a small, narrow point over my index fingertip, while continuing to unleash bursts of Ether from my foot, keeping his regeneration occupied.

I’ve fought Demons long enough to know that it’s a lot more difficult for them to cast Negative Energy or Demonic Arts while actively healing, since the flow of their Mana gets diverted towards fueling their regeneration.

In other words...so long as I keep damaging him, he won’t have the means to free himself from under my foot.

"<And now, die, scum>," I uttered seethingly, before firing out the charged up Ether, piercing through the middle of his torso, before he gasped and seized up with an excruciating yell of pain as my beam burst straight through his Core.

That...that felt good. But it’s not enough...more, I need to kill more of them, this isn’t even a fraction of how many I want-...no, need...-to kill.

For everything I went through, everyone I lost, I’ll pay them back tenfold. I-...

"Way to go, that was dope! Come on, let’s get out of here!" Called out Beatriz, snapping me out of it.

Hm...yes, I suppose I should calm myself. There are no more Monsters to battle in this Dungeon, so there’s no reason to be on edge.

I wonder how the Chief is doing? I hope the other Dungeons have been conquered just as easily as this one was...
