Sinner System-Chapter 400: Ai’s Form

The energy took form before us, in a curvy, feminine figure. The figure was about right between my and Aria’s heights, a swirl of black and white energy wrapping around it and taking the shape of clothes.

A white shirt under a black blazer, the shirt unbuttoned about halfway down the chest, revealing ample cleavage, and a black skirt just short of knee-length, with black heels forming around the feet.

Rectangular, black framed glasses appeared over the eyes, black hair appearing and getting neatly tied up in a bun.

The figure’s body glowed with a bright, fair complexion, a small mole appearing below the corner of the left eye.

The eyelids then slowly opened, revealing a pair of dark purple eyes, a similar hue to my own.

"<Hm. This feels strange>."

"Woah...it’s kinda surreal hearing your voice with my ears instead of inside my head like usual. How does it feel, Ai?" I greeted her with a smile.

"<A bit weird...it feels different to when you give me control of your body, it’s hard to put into words>," She responded with a frown.

"Damn...your boobs are massive. Looks like that shirt can barely contain them," Remarked Aria, as she approached Ai and groped her chest in fascination.

"<P-Please stop, that feels-...hey>!" Protested Ai indignantly, as Aria jammed her hand into Ai’s cleavage.

"Heh, sorry, my bad," Grinned Aria sheepishly, pulling her hand back out.

"<Please don’t do that again>," Responded Ai with a huff.

"Oh, I wonder what an Appraisal of you would look like," I mused in fascination, before chanting, "<Appraisal>."

"Ooh, me too! <Appraisal>," Grinned Aria, as we both focused our gazes on Ai.

"And it looks like you can use the Pride and Greed Skills, that’s pretty cool," I chimed in, before adding, "By the way...how come you have the same last name as me?"

"<What? I do>?"

"Mhm, it says Ai Intrix next to Name," Nodded Aria in response.

"<It’s not like I picked it myself, that was probably Samsara’s doing>," Replied Ai with a sigh.

"I think it’s pretty cool, it’s like you’re a member of Kai’s family," Said Aria with a grin.

"Yeah, and with the same hair and eye colors as me, we certainly could pass as being related. Maybe, like, an older sister or a young aunt or something," I suggested thoughtfully.

"Oh, I almost overlooked the Age part...you’re only four years old?" Noticed Aria, a bemused look on her face.

"<Well, closer to five years, but yes, that’s about how long it’s been since I was created. The 27th of September, 2165, the day Kai was reincarnated in this era, my age is probably being calculated from that day on>," She surmised.

"Oh, nice, that means your birthday is just a bit over a month away, we should definitely celebrate," Suggested Aria with a smile.

"For sure, sounds good to me," I nodded in agreement.

"<Uh, that’s not really necessary...>"

"Well, too bad, because we insist," Stated Aria firmly, before adding as her stomach rumbled, "Okay, we should really have something to eat. Oh, I know! You should join us, Ai, considering that you’ve never eaten and all."

"<I mean, I’ve processed the experience of eating, so-...>."

"Yeah, not the same thing. I’ll bring out some of the best options I’ve got in Treasury," I replied with a grin.

"Wait, can you eat? Like, are you physically capable of consuming food?" Aria asked her.

"<Well, I don’t need to eat, but I believe I am capable of it>."

"Yeah, the Apostles are able to eat even though they don’t need to, and your body seems to be a similar kind of construct to theirs. Alright, let’s go all out and stuff our faces!" I declared with a grin.

"So...would you mind if I asked for an explanation on what exactly the goal here is, my Lord?" Inquired Spektar curiously.

"You’ll find out soon enough."

"Yes, you said that before...but if I may speak frankly, all we have done is eliminate thousands of our own forces," He responded in bemusement.

Tch...since he has no physical form and cannot be harmed, he isn’t afraid to annoy me.

Of all my Generals, he was the only survivor...if I was given a choice, I would have picked literally anyone else.

With all the other Generals dead, along with a number of other talented Archdemons and Dragons, I have been left with no choice but to gamble.

A week has passed since Kaivel Intrix escape, and I was currently by a Goblin colony. I commanded them to kill each other, and gather the Cores of the fallen until I say to stop.

This option was always a last resort, I hoped I would never need to use it.

But to restore power to my forces, it is my only choice...the number of Monsters under my command is not a concern, it is the number of strong Monsters that is the issue.

Prior to bringing Kaivel Intrix to this world, my forces had both quality and quantity...but now, both aspects have taken a significant blow.

As a result, I must sacrifice quantity for the sake of quality.

This method requires gathering thousands of Cores of Monsters in the same evolutionary cycle, and using those Cores as a catalyst...unfortunately, it has a fifty percent chance of success, which of course, also means a fifty percent chance of failure.

So far, there have been two failures, resulting in a flock of Harpies and a pack of Hellhounds-...along with the other species in their respective evolutionary cycles...-being decimated for nothing.

Ah, looks like enough Cores have been gathered.

As they say, third time is the charm...I hope...
