Single Wish: Rise Of The Omniscient Paragon-Chapter 809 - 806: Becoming a Hunter (8)
Chapter 809: 806: Becoming a Hunter (8)
Although Corey knew about the ranks of hunters, he had not been able to gather information on the number of high ranking hunters there were.
Especially the number of Mythic Hunters.
It was a bit surprising to know that there were only six Mythic Hunters in the entire association that spanned throughout the entire Kingdom, but at the same time, it was not.
Ever since he planned on registering as a hunter, he had been gathering information about hunters and several other topics from the mouths of everybody in the association headquarters through his Ears of Omniscience.
He knew that Mythic Hunters were feared throughout the entire Haven Continent, and there was a reason for this, they all had powerful talents.
Unlike what he previously thought when he was in the Underworld, he was surprised to see that the number of people who had made wishes that either gave them unique and powerful talents or something that would help them thrive in the apocalypse was disgustingly low.
Because of their talents, Mythic Hunters were seen as terrifying beings that even had the capabilities to fight above their Tier.
Rhael had not told him this, but he knew.
’I wonder how strong the six Mythic Hunters are... Hopefully, they don’t disappoint me.’
As Corey had this thought, Rhael released a sigh as he came out of his reverie for Mythic Hunters.
"Sorry about that, Ryan. You’ve never seen or encountered a Mythic Hunter before, so you don’t know just how amazing they are."
"If you were standing in front of one, you’d be trembling in your shoes no matter what."
Corey raised a brow, but didn’t say anything. He waited for Rhael to continue, and fortunately for him, he did.
"The last rank of Hunters is the Mythic rank, and every one of them is a Tier 4."
"There’s no higher rank than Mythic rank, but there are two other unique titles that some hunters have."
"Blacksteel and Miracle."
Rhael paused.
"Blacksteel Hunters are basically the assassins of the association."
"I know that this might sound strange to you since there are surely other assassins that have the assassin class or a class that’s specialized in the art of assassination, but the association also has their unit of especially trained assassins."
"Any hunter that’s in this group is referred to as a Blacksteel Hunter."
"The identities of some Blacksteel Hunters are known, but majority of the Blacksteel Hunters are not known at all."
"A piece of advice for you, if you encounter a Blacksteel Hunter, run. It doesn’t matter how good your control is or how good your martial arts is, just run."
"Most hunters would rather fight a unique monster in the same Tier than a Blacksteel Hunter."
"Oh, and Blacksteel Hunters are not only Tier 4s. They can also be Tier 3s, Tier 2s, Tier 1s, and even Tier 0s.
Corey hummed, but didn’t say anything.
"Now, Miracle Hunters."
"Miracle Hunters are the most special hunters of all hunters, and it’s because of Miracle Hunters that Mythic Hunters are not the greatest hunters in the association."
"Miracle Hunters are hunters that have been personally recognized by His Majesty himself, the Pope of the Temple, and the First Hunter of the association."
Corey instantly raised his brows, "The First Hunter?"
That was a term he had not heard of before.
"Is it the association head?" He asked.
However, Rhael shook his head, "No."
"It’s not public knowledge, and only hunters with immense potential have the right to know about this, but there’s somebody with a higher authority than the association head... The First Hunter."
"According to what I heard, the First Hunter is actually the person that created the Miracle Hunter Association. The association head was actually assigned by the First Hunter to be the leader of the association because he couldn’t be bothered to do such a thing."
"It is said that Mythic Hunters are given the opportunity to see the First Hunter, but I don’t know if this is true."
"I’m just a Platinum Hunter."
Rhael paused, expecting some kind of reaction from Corey. But Corey couldn’t be bothered to even put up an illusion to show a shocked expression.
His mind was still on the Rhael’s words of the First Hunter.
Despite him constantly listening to everything that was being said in the association headquarters, he had not heard anything about there been a First Hunter.
’Interesting. I should find out more about this... First Hunter.’ Corey thought with slight intrigue.
"What else do you know about the First Hunter?"
Corey asked, but Rhael shook his head and shrugged.
"Nothing much. Like I said, until I become a Mythic Hunter, information on the First Hunter is classified."
"Hmm." Corey hummed.
"Anyway, Miracle Hunters are hunters that have performed unimaginable deeds for either the kingdom, the temple, the association, or even the entire Haven Continent as a whole."
"Miracle Hunters are all Tier 4s, and obviously, they are all monstrous. Even the King is wary of every Miracle Hunter... And there are only four Miracle Hunters in the entire association."
"The association head is one of them."
Rhael paused, and then he observed Corey whose expression remained indifferent.
For some reason, Corey’s lack of reaction was beginning to slightly irritate him.
’What’s with him? He only reacted when I spoke of the First Hunter? Don’t tell me he already knew about everything I said?’
’Did I just waste my time, energy, and saliva on this kid?’
A vein appeared on the right side of Rhael’s head, and then he exhaled softly as he chose not to react on his thoughts.
"Anyway, moving from all of these. I’m here for two purposes."
"One, to give you your Hunter’s badge."
"And two, to give you an opportunity."
Corey raised a brow, "An opportunity?"
"Yes. An opportunity to not only raise your Hunter’s rank, but to get stronger."
Corey leaned back with a slightly interested expression, "Continue."
"Let’s start from the first one. From now on, you’re a Silver Hunter."
"Congratulations."
