Chapter 784: 781: Heaven Lock Array

If anybody looked at the Trollspire Dungeon from above, they would be stunned to see over a hundred glowing golden rods with black lightning streaming around each and every single golden rod.

To those who were not knowledgeable in the art of formations and arrays, it would look like the golden rods had been placed in completely random positions.

However, to Array Masters and Formation Masters, they would be stunned by the sight of the current Trollspire Dungeon.

Why?

Because the entire Trollspire Dungeon had transformed into an array.

Every golden rod was what formed the array, and the name of this array is the Heaven Lock Array.

The Heaven Lock Array was one of the many arrays he obtained from the Central Library of the Underworld, and this array was an array that was designed for Tribulations.

The Heaven Lock Array is a high level array that was designed to protect an individual from a Tribulation, specifically, Lightning Tribulations.

To create the Heaven Lock Array, one requires metallic rods that could conduct electricity to attract the lightning from the tribulation, which would then spread to the other metallic rods that have been placed in the proper positions for the Heaven Lock Array.

The metallic rods could not just be normal metals or weak metals that would turn to ash from the power of the tribulation.

For example, the metal Corey used was called Golden Orichalcum, and he got this metal from the Mountain of Metals he took in the Shattered Dimension of the Old Ones.

Golden Orichalcum was a very powerful metal that was in the highest grades of Mystic metals, or in other words, metals below the Immortal Rank.

Apart from the type and grade of metal that was used in the formation of the Heaven Lock Array, one also needed to inscribe runes on the metal that would direct the lightning energy in a metal to the next metal, and then to the next metal, and so on and so forth.

At the end of the day, the a small percentage of the lightning tribulation would then slowly flow towards the person that is undergoing the tribulation, allowing them to not bear the full portion of the lightning tribulation at once but in a steady stream.

With this, the individual would not only survive the Lightning Tribulation, they would gain the benefits of the tribulation.

The Heaven Lock Array was one of the best arrays to deal with a Lightning Tribulation, and the elite organizations usually used it to allow their geniuses survive lightning tribulations.

However, despite Corey using 108 golden orichalcum rods and perfectly drawn runes on the golden orichalcum rods, he could see that the golden orichalcum rods would most likely be destroyed before the tribulation ended.

The appearance of the black lightning was completely unexpected and way more powerful than the previous white lightning bolts.

’Five lightning bolts?... No... Maybe six?’

’The golden orichalcum rods should be able to handle six lightning bolts out of the ten.’

Even with this realization that Corey had, his expression was utterly calm as he absorbed the lightning energy that travelled to him from the 108 golden orichalcum rods

His speed of absorption was very fast, and although it would shock a lot of people if they ever saw this, he felt that his speed of absorption was in fact slow.

Too slow.

Another lightning bolt struck. This time around, with more power.

Just like the first, it swerved to the center and largest golden orichalcum rod in the Heaven Lock Array, and then the black lightning moved from one golden orichalcum to another before reaching Corey.

Corey’s expression changed as veins and sweat appeared on his forehead the instant the tribulation lightning touched him.

Black streaks of lightning would sometimes flash across his body, but Corey’s expression was one of calmness as he absorbed the lightning tribulation with his eyes closed. frёewebnoѵel.ƈo๓

Another lightning bolt fell, and just like the previous two, it fell prey to the Heaven Lock Array.

The black lightning around Corey increased in intensity, and this time around, one would be able to see flashes of black lightning streaking in Corey’s body.

His veins were now black lightning.

Corey gritted his teeth.

And then... Another bolt fell.

And then... Another bolt fell.

And then... The sixth bolt fell.

Corey’s body had become a mess... a whole bloody mess.

It was completely unrecognizable, and could not be compared to how he looked like before the tribulation.

His skin was charred and broken in several parts, and a small pool of blood could be seen around him.

A dense amount of lightning was around him, and his hair had become spiky.

Veins could be seen all over Corey’s body as his fists were tightly clenched, along with his bloody teeth that were gritted.

RUMBLE!

Corey’s eyes flashed open the moment he heard the rumbling of the sky that was akin to a roar of rage and anger.

The seventh lightning bolt was about to fall, and this time around, the Heaven Lock Array was no more.

All 108 golden orichalcum rods had shattered and turned into molten liquid after being struck by the black lightning of the Tribulation.

It looked like Corey would have to face the seventh lightning on his own, but there was no way he would do that.

The seventh lightning was ten times stronger than the first lightning, and if the first lightning bolt was extremely dangerous to Corey, no words could explain just how dangerous the seventh lightning bolt was for him.

Despite his current condition and body that was being battered by the black lightning around him, Corey’s expression was calm as he gazed at the extremely dark clouds that had devoured all light.

He could feel the fury of the Tribulation, and... he smiled.

"Come."

The seventh black lightning fell at a speed and power that caused a shockwave to travel across the Trollspire Dungeon.

Corey slammed his right hand on the ground.
